My name is Kim Bardin. I visited the Massage Envy Prescott AZ location this past Saturday (12/3/22). After my appointment, when I went to the counter to check out and pay, the salesperson gave me the information on all of the specials they were currently running. She explained that I could buy a (3) pack - 60-minute massage "package" and that at least 1 massage in the package was transferrable. I wasn't planning on purchasing any "special packages", but I liked the idea that I could transfer one to my husband for a Christmas gift. So, I decided to purchase the package and I made him an appointment with the associate for today 12/6/22 @ 3:30pm. I told my husband that this was a Christmas gift, so he didn't need to pay for it. When he arrived ON TIME for his appointment, they told him that the massage package I purchased WAS NOT TRANSFERRABLE and that he would need to pay! HOW EMBARASSING as this was a gift! I ONLY bought the package for the transferrable option! I called and spoke with the associate while my husband was there. She explained that she herself also "thought" that they could transfer the massage, but the system would not allow her to do it. I told her that when I made the appointment, I was told that if he did not show, or canceled within 24 hours, that I would LOSE one of the massages in my package because that was essentially the credit holding his appointment. However, the associate today told me that they had a credit card on file in my profile that they used to hold the appointment! I NEVER gave permission for this! The associate called the manager (Karen) who confirmed that I could NOT transfer my package and that I was given the wrong info when I purchased the 3 pack! This is completely unacceptable. My husband left and told me he never wants to go back. This business cannot sell customers services that they cannot use. Nor can they keep MY credit card on file without my permission, for someone else's appointment! They (both associates) "thought" that the package was transferrable, but they apparently are WRONG. So, I'm stuck paying for something I cannot and now do not want to use because they are misinformed? Nothing but TIME (listening to the sales pitch, making my husband the appointment, my husband leaving work early to go to the appt, driving to the appt and then driving home without getting a service done, phone calls to complain, emails to complain, etc.
Desired outcome: I want ALL of my money back. The entire $300 I spent purchasing the 3 massage -transferrable package!
