I paid money to this site to have a tutor ad that would have a high listing. I did not get one legitimate response back. This is not a good place to get tutoring clients. Don't waste your money.

II signed up with tutormatch.com in February 2013, paid $29 for one year preferred tutorship. After 2 months, I don't see myself in the Preferred tutor's list and did not get any single response from student seeking tutor help. I sent my Paypal payment information on their website "Contact us" 4 times but lost all hopes to get any response. I am thinking to file complaint about this fraudulent website. Please contact me on "manoj.mohta@sify.com" if you want more information about this.

This is ajread again. Diane, with TutorMatch, contacted me immediately after I emailed and complained about the ongoing payments. She refunded my money for the last several years within just a few days time and offered to highlight my profile for free in order to try to line up some clients for me. She also indicated they are reviewing their profiles more carefully to make sure no one else is in the same situation. Seems like they really want to make things right and this is something they are working on.

Hello ajread;
You purchased a 1 year subscription and your subscription was cancelled last month, we have never tried to charge you again. You are free to cancel your subscription with us at any time. TutorMatch uses Paypal for all transactions, so all you have to do is login to your Paypal account and cancel your subscription any time; whether it be 1 day or 1 year later. You never have to contact us for a cancellation; we don't handle any of your financial information, Paypal does. This gives you complete control over billing and cancellation; we can NEVER charge you without your consent via Paypal.

If you would like a refund just ask us. TutorMatch offers a complete 100% satisfaction guarantee. We offer tutor and student matching services everywhere in the US, in person as well as online tutoring, and even internationally now. We offer these services in every single part of the country; but we can't control demand. That's why we always offer a 100% refund. Whether you get 100 students or no students, if you are not happy with our service AT ANY TIME FOR ANY REASON we will still give you a 100% refund, no questions asked. Please request a refund, however, not a cancellation. If you cancel that's not the same as a refund.

I also had no success with TutorMatch. That is not my main issue. My main problem with them is that they continue to try to charge me a recurring fee even after I have cancelled services (years ago!) in writing.

I was not made aware of any money back guarantee, which apparently I was entitled to received according the Diane's statement above.

If there truly are areas of the country where they are not able to match tutors to potential clients, then they should not advertise that they do.

Hello I work at TutorMatch and I would like to disagree. We are a tutor directory listing service which allows tutors to advertise their services to prospective students. While there are certain geographic areas and/or subjects which do get a lot of active student response, there are some regions or subjects which unfortunately don't always live up to expectations.

We offer a full money-back guarantee if you are unhappy with the service, especially if we have tracked that you haven't received many leads. TutorMatch is always trying to grow and improve its service, and what may not be a popular area of expertise today may change significantly!

Thank you,
Diane Palumbo
