My fiancé, a 62 year-old woman, and I were going through security on the 4th floor All Gates area after passing through US Customs at JFK Airport approximately 8:15–9:00 pm on 10/27/23. When my fiancé was in the scanner she was screamed at by a large security person (man) that “she was told to go around” and it was “her fault now” that she was in the scanner there was a “red area” shown in the crotch (where she was wearing a pad). He screamed shouted at her and pointed to the screen in front of everyone. She was then humiliated by a public search into her crotch area by a female security person. No explanation given. No apology.
Desired outcome: We need to file a complaint with TSA (or whatever the security service is who employed these workers) and consider our legal options
