I had a great experience with Tru AutoMall. I went to see a car recently, and when I got there, the car was inside, clean, and ready for me to test drive. After driving it, there was no pressure to buy. They didn't treat me like just another sale, they treated me with respect and told me everything about how the car sales business works. I ended up buying the car the next day, not because they forced me, but because they made me feel comfortable enough to spend my money. Being honest, respectful, and building a good relationship really makes a difference. Plus, I got a really good car at an even better price. Thanks to everyone at Tru Auto Mall!

I bought a 2013 *** from Tru Auto on June 18. I had to take it back to them twice because of a low coolant notification. They said there was nothing wrong, even though it was still within the 30-day warranty they gave me. Eventually, I had to take it to a diesel mechanic who diagnosed it with a head gasket issue. Tru Auto refused to take any responsibility. I filed a complaint with the Connecticut Motor Vehicle Department and they intervened. Tru Auto finally took it to *** on October 31, and the report confirmed the need for head gasket work. However, Tru Auto didn't like this answer, so they took it to *** who said there was no issue with the head gasket. They didn't even perform the correct test for a duramax diesel. Tru Auto told the state that they would fix it if I could get another certified mechanic to verify the head gasket problem. I took it to *** on December 3, and they confirmed it was indeed the head gaskets. But Tru Auto still refused to fix it. I had to go through mediation with the Ct motor vehicles due to their backlog and the pandemic, and the hearing didn't happen until July 21. Tru Auto had to buy the truck back from me and cover all my expenses. On top of that, they failed to provide me with the correct warranty. Initially, they said diesels didn't need a warranty, but then they gave me a 30-day one. According to the State of Connecticut, a vehicle that is 6 years or newer (which mine was at the time) and costs over $5,000.00 should have a 60-day warranty. The state warned Tru Auto about this during the hearing. And now, they are selling the truck again without fixing it, as per the car fax. BEWARE!

After 2 weeks of havin a vehicle purchased from them, transmission failure happened. I only use the vehicle to commute work 70 miles a day. They said I had to pay for the towin of the vehicle to the dealer which is 60 miles away from my home. After a few phones calls they said they would have the vehicle towed within the next two days with no knowledge of time. This is my only vehicle and I lost my only means of transportation.

I bought a car from this dealership and paid upfront. The salesperson said they would mail me the title since I bought it after hours. It's been weeks and I still haven't received it. When I call, they always say, "We sent it with ***, you'll get it tomorrow." I asked for a tracking number, but they promise to email it and never do. I can't register my car with the DMV because I don't have the title, and my temporary registration is expiring soon. Also, a few days after getting the car, the side mirror fell off. They won't admit it or fix it. When I called last time, Gino cursed at me and hung up.
