Our company joined the elite + training about a month ago and we haven't had any luck finding a suitable coach
Our company joined the elite + training about a month ago and we haven't had any luck finding a suitable coach. I've tried reaching out six times, got redirected once, and haven't received any response. We've tried calling and emailing, but no luck. They've charged us $3400 in *** funds. We either want to be paired with a coach who's willing to work with our team or get a full refund. The lack of communication and follow-through from Tom Ferry's team is extremely frustrating, and their options for addressing these issues are nonexistent.
I can't believe this Tom Ferry program
I can't believe this Tom Ferry program. I was clear about my expectations, and I did everything they asked of me. But we didn't even do one role play! I have to ask questions that I don't even have yet. I came to them for guidance, but I have to tell them what I need? I paid a lot of money for this, and my skills should have improved. This program is a joke! Tom Ferry should be ashamed. I want a refund, period! They shouldn't take money from unhappy customers. It took a whole month for them to assign me a coach, even though I emailed them to cancel within the first 30 minutes. But they promised I would get what I wanted or my money back. So where is my refund? Are they desperate to take money they don't deserve?
They not what they promote
They not what they promote. The first coaching session they tried to sell me Tom Ferry endorsed products and services that would be an extra $350.00 per month. They made this recommendation without even knowing my business challenges or goals. They tell you to set up a business plan and offer ZERO assistance outside of watching a series of 3 videos about the business plan. They do not check in with you between coaching sessions. The coaching sessions just consist of a coach standing in front of the camera talking at you...not with you. Lastly, they offer a money back guarantee that is non-existent. When I canceled my coaching they charged me an extra, mandatory $447.00 to have access to Illum for 90 days. Great! these tools and resources are up to 5 years old and you no longer have access to any of the coaching tools that you already paid $1922.00 per quarter for. If you need coaching, find a local coach that understands your market, considers your goals and works in collaboration with you to achieve the goals. Tom Ferry is a money making magnet and you will just be a number to them.
I had a really bad experience with Tom Ferry
I had a really bad experience with Tom Ferry. They called me and said I could try their program for three months. I asked them to repeat it multiple times because I wanted to be sure. While they were talking, they sent me the agreement and asked me to review it quickly. I made a mistake and signed it right away instead of taking my time to think about it. They pressured me to start immediately and kept asking why I would wait to give them my credit card number when I had days to cancel. They made me feel like I had to become a top salesperson right away.
When I talked to their representatives about my concerns, I asked for the recording of the call where they said I could try the program for three months. At first, they said they would give it to me, but then a few days later, they said they couldn't. They played games with me and made me feel like I was going in circles. Eventually, they offered to settle with me for only six months instead of the full year that I had signed up for. They had promised something different during that first call, but I didn't stop and read the agreement carefully.
They only agreed to settle if I took down my negative review on Yelp. It's not fair because I thought there were laws to protect us from this kind of behavior. It's been a few years now, and I was too tired to fight back then. I'm okay now, but I find it funny that there are loyal Tom Ferry followers who are willing to waste their money on terrible coaching. I don't have time to go into all the details, but let's just say their coaches can't even handle basic technology to start the sessions. I was desperate to improve my confidence at that time, so I didn't even bother to search for reviews online. That was my mistake!

I got charged $649 every month from September to December
I got charged $649 every month from September to December . They said they would help me with my real estate business. But the "coach" didn't bother to go over any forms or papers. They didn't explain how transactions work or give me any strategies to improve my business.
I joined Tom Ferry's coaching program on October 8th after attending a real estate seminar
I joined Tom Ferry's coaching program on October 8th after attending a real estate seminar. They made big promises and introduced some impressive coaches. However, it's been a month now and I haven't had a single coaching session. I haven't even been assigned a suitable coach. I've reached out for help multiple times, but most of the time I'm ignored. The few times I do get a response, I'm given vague answers and excuses. I'm paying $1400 a month for services that are not being provided. It's frustrating and disappointing. I've decided to cancel my subscription multiple times, but my requests have been ignored. I'm fed up with this situation, so I'm going to stop the payment on my card. This whole experience has completely changed my opinion of Tom Ferry. I strongly advise others to stay away from their services.
I signed up for Tom Ferry coaching on February 1st, 2022
I signed up for Tom Ferry coaching on February 1st, 2022. After the sales team promised me guaranteed results and made big promises, they didn't deliver as expected. Unfortunately, I canceled my subscription in the second week of May, but I am still being charged even though I haven't used the sessions that I already paid for. I haven't gained any benefit from this program. I believe my coach has good intentions and wants to help, but he is coaching too many other people, so he can't control the quality. It seems like he has more experience in financial lending rather than real estate sales. I'm really disappointed with this platform and I regret my decision. Honestly, I found more value in watching free YouTube videos than spending thousands of dollars on this coaching platform.

I read the other complaints and I feel like I'm in the same boat
I read the other complaints and I feel like I'm in the same boat. I had to cancel the coaching calls because I haven't seen any increase in production. I submitted the request and it took them 2 weeks to process. I asked for a refund of the money I paid ($749) for the unused coaching calls, but they refused! They charge realtors for a service they don't provide! They kept saying that I have to pay termination fees because I ended the contract early. I originally signed up for the elite coaching program, stayed for 4 months, and then downgraded to core to give them another chance. Before signing the contract, I specifically asked if it would restart for the whole year, as I had doubts about affording it without seeing results. Unfortunately, they gave me completely wrong information. And it's been like that from the beginning. The lack of customer service is a huge problem at this company, and I don't want to do business with someone like this. Neither do my colleagues or friends in the industry.

Tom Ferry offers some great FREE coaching material and he seems like a decent guy, which is why people like me get drawn in. But let me tell you, the coaching program is a total scam. It's just plain awful in so many ways. It all starts with this pushy and humiliating consultation. I can't believe I actually fell for their convincing tactics and signed up. The salesperson was rude and disrespectful. And then they tried to match me with coaches, but it was a complete failure. I don't think they have any real method for finding the right coach for each person. I ended up paying around $7,000 and still couldn't find the right coach. I stuck with one for a while because she was nice, but she admitted she couldn't really help me. My complaints went unanswered and unresolved. They owe me coaching calls that I paid for, but I don't even want them anymore. They have a money back guarantee, but they don't honor it. Tom Ferry himself canceled my contract just to keep all the money I paid. It's a total rip-off.

I signed up for Tom Ferry coaching and was told I would have a dedicated coach who would help me create a business plan, assign homework, and even fire me if I didn't perform and commit to the program. During the sales consultation, they assured me that if I didn't meet my goals, I could get a refund. However, the coach I was assigned was inexperienced, and I felt like I was paying too much for a service that didn't provide value. I asked for a refund, but they refused. Although my signed contract supports their decision, the recorded call doesn't. I clearly said, "Why wouldn't I sign up for coaching? I can get my money back if it hasn't paid for itself in 4 months." They claimed they didn't hear that in the recording and won't share it with me because they know they're lying. I haven't done any transactions yet. My new coach, after I complained, hasn't given me any homework or asked for progress updates. I want a full refund of my coaching fees because this has been a waste. The sales representative deceived me verbally. The advertising they showed during the consultation violates FTC Truth in Advertising by misrepresenting their services. I discovered helpful courses like Breakthrough by Design from Tom Ferry's ecosystem on my own after months of coaching, but my coaches never mentioned them as a starting point.
The Tom Ferry organization charged my credit card for the month of September on September 16th
The Tom Ferry organization charged my credit card for the month of September on September 16th. Due to some unexpected circumstances, I had to cancel, so on 9/22, I called to cancel. However, they tried to charge my credit card again without my permission, even though I clearly stated on a recorded call that I did not consent to it. They insisted on recording the call, which I objected to, but they still did it. So, on that recording, it will be clear that I did not authorize them to charge my credit card. Despite this, they still attempted to take the money, but luckily, I had already made arrangements with my bank to prevent it. The problem is that they tried to take money from me even after I explicitly told them they were not allowed to do so. They attempted to take money against my wishes, which is essentially robbing me. The coach I was working with informed me that my card was declined, so we couldn't proceed with our coaching call. I informed him that it wasn't even time for them to take money yet, as I had paid just 7 days prior. My complaint is that they made an effort to take money from my account despite me clearly stating on a recorded call that they were not authorized to do so. Even if you have a plan with them and circumstances change, they won't respect your boundaries or the legal limits you set. They will try to take money regardless. This worries me because they might treat others the same way, without considering that it is both morally and legally wrong to attempt to take money when someone has said NO. It's a terrible practice and shows that they are not trustworthy business people.
On January 24, 2022, our real estate team signed up with Tom Ferry coaching
On January 24, 2022, our real estate team signed up with Tom Ferry coaching. We've been coaching with KW MAPS for 7 years and decided to give TF coaching a try. We paid 3 months in advance and had our first coach session on Feb 3, 2022. The coaching call is supposed to be 30 minutes, but the coach talked about himself and how great he was for like 2 hours and 56 minutes. The coach call was all about his greatness, so I kept reminding him about our business situation and that we wanted to get down to business. So the first call was a failure and really disappointing. Then for our second coach call, the coach forgot we had a coaching session that day and after I reached out to TF customer service, the coach texted and said sorry. We rescheduled the call for later in the afternoon and the call lasted almost 3 hours again, with the coach repeating how great he was and how successful he is. I kept interrupting, trying to actually get some coaching, but it didn't work. So we decided to cancel because we weren't getting the coaching we were promised and the calls were way longer than they should be (3 hours of pain instead of 30 minutes). I contacted sales and customer support and they were really unprofessional in handling the cancellation request. I asked for a full refund because we didn't get what we were promised in terms of coaching. Tom Ferry coaching only refunded $1,473 and still owes $749. When I called to ask about the difference, the salesperson assigned to me told me to "screw myself"! Can you believe that? What a terrible way to talk to clients! This has been a shocking experience for our team because we've heard great things about this company and their coaching.
I signed up a year ago after I saw a high pressure presentation for new agents to the TF organization
I signed up a year ago after I saw a high pressure presentation for new agents to the TF organization. Their speaker (***) personally guaranteed that if I joined and followed their coaches advice, I would triple my sales or my money back. Triple. Or our money back. I joined because of this guarantee. Most of all I trusted the integrity of the leader running the seminar but I trusted TF organization because several agent teams believe in TF coaching so I believed they would honor this contract. When I requested my money back they Noreen *** [protected]@tomferry.com and *** [protected]@tomferry.com said that I violated the contract and missed one meeting. This is not true, I sent them proof. That one meeting was cancelled - Timeline of my canceled Aug 24th 1 to 1 with my coach, he agreed to skip rather than to make-up the coaching session. I have sent emails to this organization and they said they would review, but I haven't heard back from them and I'm sure they are hoping I would 'write it off' but I can not afford. I was told on Oct 20 to submit my commission statements for dates: 10/9- 10/15 but they stopped responding to emails or returning my calls. I feel have been blacklisted and “ghosted”. I'm very disappointed. I have spent $13,188 with Tom Ferry over the year. Earlier this year I wanted to quit coaching with my 1st coach and they instead switched coaches and continued to promise tripling last years income. Had I spent this on marketing, I would have almost certainly increased my sales. Had I spent this money on mailers, phone lists, lead sources, I would have certainly increased my sales. Every dollar that went towards Tom Ferry was a dollar that was not available for lead generation. This has impacted me, and by extension it has impacted my career. Nobody expected a pandemic. Nobody expected catastrophic wildfires. This year, my sales have been flat. I am now asking them to keep their word.
This has been a terrible experience from the start
This has been a terrible experience from the start. The recruiter from Tom Ferry is full of misleading info, empty promises, and is really pushy and mean when selling their value. I felt forced into joining even though I knew it was my choice. They also promise on the call that you'll get all your money back to make it seem like a win/win situation. But as soon as you agree to the scammy contract, they take your payment right away and then it takes weeks to get set up with a coach. They don't pair you up like they say they will. I had to bug them through text and email multiple times before the coach even reached out to me after they placed me. The first session, she told me she squeezed me in at the end of her day so she's a bit tired. It seemed like she didn't care at all. So I asked for a different coach. The next coach interviewed me and said I'm not a good fit for coaching and turned me down. He only works with clients who have EXTRA MONEY to spend on stuff like marketing and advertising. It was really discouraging, especially after the recruiter convinced me I was the perfect candidate for coaching. But by then, it's too late, you're stuck in their contract. The next coach I settled for. I went through the motions but never felt inspired, never learned anything new or useful, and our calls were a waste of time. She was nice and seemed like a great person, but she didn't bring anything to the coaching table. I expected assignments, accountability, new ideas, social media and/or marketing strategies, anything to help me make more money. But there was nothing. I filled out their forms asking how coaching was going and I told them I hadn't gotten any new business. I'm also a licensed Broker in a tough market. I have more to say, but no space.
