The Bradford Exchange Mystery Disappearing Package

I have never ordered anything from the Bradford Exchange, and yet they apparently sent me a package. Today I was informed that the package was left at my front door, but it wasn't. Something tells me that maybe my post office intercepted it, if they recognized something suspicious.

In any case, this is so weird. I wish I knew what was going on. Were they trying a brush scam? Did they send me some strange, invasive seeds? Hopefully, soon, my post office will be in touch with me with an answer. I have just sent them an email about this.

The Bradford Exchange Bradford Exchange Review: Poor Quality, Shipping Delays, and Terrible Customer Service

I stumbled upon BradfordExchange's website about four months ago and was immediately drawn to the items they were showcasing. I decided to order a few things that caught my eye and placed my order in December. I made it a habit to check the status of my order frequently, but some of the items on my list weren't due to ship until two months after I placed my order. To make matters worse, they charged me over $100.00 in shipping costs alone and I still had to wait longer for the items to ship out.

I tried contacting Bradford several times, but unfortunately, I was unsuccessful in getting a response. Finally, some of my items started shipping out, but some of them took longer to arrive. When I contacted Bradford for tracking details, they advised that they didn't have a tracking number to give me to track where my order was. They didn't have a tracking number on file for any of my orders. When the items finally arrived, I was disappointed to find that they looked nothing like the picture on their website. The picture of the item displayed on their website was just a ploy to lure people into buying them. They made the item seem better and bigger, but if I had seen 90 percent of the items I bought on that website in person, I would have never paid a dime for them.

To make matters worse, they ended up canceling one of my orders. When I called them about it, they advised that the item was sold out and they would never be getting more in stock. The woman advised me that Bradford would send me a letter confirming the item was out of stock. Weeks later, I received an email from the Bradford website saying that the item was available! Finally, the last item that arrived came broken. I returned it back to them (I was able to keep the tracking number for the item and it only took a week for them to receive it). However, it took them over a month to issue me a refund! I was appalled. Why is it that they will charge a credit card immediately when an item is shipped, but to return a customer's money, they will take their sweet time?

I contacted Bradford about 20 different times regarding my refund before I received it. Why is it that I am able to track my return but I can't track my purchase? I do not recommend buying anything from this company. The item you want will not be what it looks like, and customer service is not their first priority. Their first priority is to take your money every which way they can. I will never waste my money on their garbage again!

The Bradford Exchange Deceived and Disappointed: My Terrible Experience with Bradford Exchange

My first time experience with Bradford Exchange was terrible. I ordered a ring for my mother on Mother's Day, seven days before the occasion, to ensure that it would arrive on time. I chose Bradford Exchange because they promised that the ring would be delivered before Mother's Day and that it would be shipped with FedEx Express shipping.

After placing the order, I immediately contacted Bradford Exchange to emphasize the importance of receiving the ring before Mother's Day. However, their response was a generic message that guaranteed my satisfaction. The next day, I received a FedEx tracking number that indicated that a shipping label had been created. However, four days later, the tracking had not updated from "Shipping label created," and I was getting anxious. I contacted Bradford Exchange, but they did not reply until two hours later when the tracking number finally updated, indicating that the package would arrive one day after Mother's Day. I was disappointed to learn that the shipping method was not FedEx Express, as promised, but the cheapest form of shipping, FedEx SmartPost, which takes 2-7 business days to be delivered.

I felt deceived and lied to by Bradford Exchange. I contacted them a third time, but they did not respond for four days. It seemed like they had already received my money, and they did not care about my concerns.

To ensure that I received the package before Mother's Day, I decided to pick it up myself on Saturday, a day before the occasion. I was disappointed that Bradford Exchange did not follow through with their promise and guarantee. As a customer, I have a choice to do business with them or someone else. I took a screenshot of their website, which stated that "Today is the LAST DAY to Order for Mother's Day Delivery with Express Shipping," a day after I placed the order.

In conclusion, my experience with Bradford Exchange was terrible. They did not follow through with their promise and guarantee, and they ignored my concerns. As a customer, I expect to receive what I paid for and to be treated with respect.

The Bradford Exchange Misleading website and poor customer service from BradfordExchange

I had a really bad experience with BradfordExchange. Last August, I ordered a set of Disney pin badges that I had been eyeing for a while. The photo on the website showed a beautiful display box with about 12 badges from different Disney films throughout the years, all for the price of ?59.97. However, a few weeks later, I received an email saying that the item was not currently ready to be dispatched, so they cancelled my order and did not charge my card. I wish I had left it at that.

I called the company to ask why they had cancelled my order, as I still wanted to keep it on hold and receive the items when they were back in stock. They kept my order on hold and finally charged my card and delivered the items in November. When I received the box, I knew something was wrong because it was much smaller than I expected. I opened it to find only four badges out of the ones I had ordered. I tried to contact the company for two weeks, leaving my contact details and sending two emails, but I received no response.

When I called BradfordExchange, nobody answered the phone, and I got an automated message asking me to leave my contact number. They promised to call me back within the next 8 working hours, but I never received a call. I was frustrated and didn't know what to do, so I decided to try messaging them on Facebook. Finally, I got a reply. It turned out that the badges I ordered came in the post four at a time, and every time they sent me some, the price was ?59.97 each time. This was not mentioned on the website, and the photo showed the badges in a box together, so I assumed that was how they would arrive.

I asked for a refund and requested that they cancel the rest of the collection because I was not willing to pay that amount each time for the badges. The sales operator assured me that the refund had been processed, but I had to wait weeks for it. I tried to contact them on Facebook again, but they ignored me this time. In the end, I had to contact my bank to get my money back because I had used a credit card for the transaction.

I will never trust this company or order anything from them again, and I advise others to do the same. I don't understand how they are still in business with such poor customer service and misleading information on their website.

The Bradford Exchange Bradford Exchange UK: Terrible Customer Service and Billing Issues

I recently made a purchase on BradfordExchange.com for a bracelet in August. I didn't use my account with them since I hadn't used it in years and no longer had access to the email associated with it. Unfortunately, the item never arrived after nearly 14 days. I contacted Bradford ex. UK to be informed that payment hadn't gone through and I was to contact them. I did this and set up a payment plan and paid the first installment. However, the tracking stated that the bracelet had been delivered and signed for, although I had received nothing.

After contacting them, they informed me that it had been sent to my old address through my account that I hadn't logged onto! They said they were sorry and that it would appear when I contacted them. The advisor linked the purchase to my account, which had an old postal address. They said that they would dispatch another one. After putting the phone down, I went to my old address to retrieve the bracelet since it was a 60th birthday gift for my mother. It was already two weeks late, and I wanted to ensure I had given it to her before her birthday trip to Graceland. I contacted Bradford ex. as soon as I got home.

They informed me that they had already dispatched another one and it could not be stopped, less than two hours after the original phone call. I returned the second bracelet as soon as it arrived since I already had the first bracelet. Since August, this company has sent me letters informing me of late payments. Every month, I have spoken to their customer service and basically been told, "aaaah we see the problem, it's an oversight, don't worry, it's sorted." Well, no, it isn't sorted. Now, I am getting threatening messages that they will take court action if I don't pay.

Bearing in mind I set up a payment plan, and they have already taken money from my account. Getting this resolved is impossible. You can't currently get through on their phone lines, so I can't even speak to a person. I managed to speak to someone via Facebook to be told that I need to set up a payment plan for the bracelet, and I now have added charges due to outstanding late payments. I am appalled by this whole situation. Not once have they acknowledged this mistake. Never in my entire life have I had an experience like this. The whole situation has been extremely stressful as I am now being threatened with bailiffs.

I would pay the balance in full just so I never have to deal or think about this company again ever. But I refuse to pay charges for a mistake I feel was made by them. They are requesting that I set up a payment plan for the second bracelet I sent back. I had a payment plan for the original bracelet I kept. I will never use this company again.

The Bradford Exchange BradfordExchange Review: Terrible Customer Service and Shipping, Damaged Product, No Refund Tracking

I ordered a watch from BradfordExchange in early June, hoping to give it to my father as a gift for Father's Day. The website promised that it would arrive before the big day, so I was excited to receive it. Unfortunately, things didn't go as planned.

First of all, the watch arrived a week after Father's Day, despite being "guaranteed" to arrive before. When I opened the box, I was disappointed to see that the watch had been damaged. It looked like it had been taken out of the box and worn previously, with scratches and a part of the watch face jammed under the second hand. I suspect that it was a return that was sent back out in error.

I used the enclosed return label to send the package back to BE, but they don't pay for a tracking number on the return postage. This means that there's no way to track the return of your package, which is frustrating. If I had known this beforehand, I would have paid extra for a tracking number so I could watch its return.

When I tried to call customer service, I had a terrible experience. On my first attempt, I was on hold for three hours with horrible music blaring in my ear. I eventually gave up. On my second attempt, I was on hold for an hour and a half before someone picked up, said "Hello?" and immediately hung up. On my third attempt, I finally got through after 55 minutes. However, the customer service rep told me that I would have to wait for the watch to arrive at their depot before a refund could be processed.

Over the next month, I called seven times but was only able to get through twice. Each time, I was told that the watch had still not shown up at their depot warehouse. This is frustrating because the warehouse is located in the same city that I live in.

After a month and a half, Bradford Exchange took another payment off my credit card. When I called to inquire about the extra charge, the customer service rep was extremely rude and argued with me before finally admitting it was an error. However, they still couldn't issue a refund on the original payment because the watch had not yet shown up. I demanded to speak to someone in a higher authority, but the rep hung up on me.

After waiting for 2 hours and 11 minutes, I was finally able to get through today. Unfortunately, the watch still has not arrived at the warehouse, and I cannot track the package because the tracking number provided on the shipping label was not paid for by BE. Only basic shipping was covered.

At the 2-month mark, they finally agreed to refund my money. However, I'm still waiting to see if it actually happens or not.

In conclusion, I would not recommend doing business with BradfordExchange. Once they have your money, it's next to impossible to get it refunded or even have any action taken on it at all. Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else. You'll be happier in the long run.

The Bradford Exchange Disappointing Doll and Music Box from BradfordExchange: A Warning

I'm so mad at myself for not doing my research before buying from BradfordExchange (bradfordexchange.com). I ordered a doll and a music box for a total of ?206.91 on December 10, 2017. The doll arrived about a week and a half later, and I was immediately disappointed. It didn't look realistic at all, despite the description claiming it did. In fact, it looked like a regular doll you could get at any toy store for ?45 or less. The leg was attached to a cloth body, making it look weird and not at all like a real baby. When my husband saw it, he agreed that it didn't look real. I wanted a doll that my toddler could pass down to her family, but this was just a cheap toy made in China.

The music box arrived two weeks later, and it was also disappointing. It didn't have the engraved name tag that was supposed to come with it, and it looked like something from the 1960s. My husband said it looked like something you could buy for ?2 at a car boot sale, not something that cost over ?60 including shipping.

I emailed BradfordExchange to let them know I wasn't happy with my purchase, but I never got a response. When I returned both items on December 27, I still didn't hear anything from them. I checked the Royal Mail website and saw that they had received the items, but I never got any acknowledgement from BradfordExchange.

I paid through PayPal, which was lucky because I've never had to use their Resolution Centre before. They haven't responded to PayPal yet, but I'm not worried because I have my Royal Mail receipt and I know PayPal will process the refund. I'm giving them a week to respond before I take further action.

Please don't order from BradfordExchange. They have a nice website, but they're dishonest and deceitful. They take your money and then ignore you when you're not happy with your purchase. I'm going to report them to Trading Standards and warn people on my YouTube channel.

The Bradford Exchange Warning: Terrible Experience with BradfordExchange.com - Negative 5 Stars!

I had a really bad experience with BradfordExchange (bradfordexchange.com). I would rate them NEGATIVE 5 if I could, but the lowest option was 1. My mom is 98 years old and earlier this year, I found out that she had cashed checks totaling over $600 to Bradford Exchange. They would send her coins and bill her later for them. She tried to stop them by returning a coin and writing to not send anymore unless she specifically asked for more. But they didn't listen and kept sending her coins. When I called their listed number, I was prompted to dial 2030 and was charged a $5.00 fee. After a few attempts, leaving call back numbers, and waiting on hold multiple times for up to 1 hour, a man finally answered.

I explained the situation to him and he confirmed that they did receive previous payments, but never got the last 2 coins back and so money was due. I told them they already got over $600 from my mom and asked them to credit the account and close the collection agent file. But he arrogantly refused. I then told him I would return ALL the coins and ask for a full refund as their advertisements claim you have 365 days to return everything for a full refund. He placed me on hold and I thought that would work, but he came back and said that I had to return everything and he would send us a refund once they got everything back. I couldn't trust them and didn't want to pursue this further with them as they would just claim the same thing that they never got anything back. They weren't going to do anymore except continue to demand payment.

I called the collection agent (Kingston Data And Credit) who were also of no assistance. You had to leave messages for them to call back and when they did, they said I couldn't talk on my mom's behalf. So, I went back to her apartment where now, no one answered. They called me to say they called her for permission, but she claimed she didn't know what it was about and couldn't reply without me. I went back to her condo and called again and got someone, who checked with Mom that it was OK to talk for her. Then, they said they couldn't cancel anything as I would have to get it cleared up with Bradford Exchange. I said, well, to never expect a payment as Bradford made the error.

Fast forward about 3 months later, and we received a threatening letter stating we had 7 days to pay or we'd be reported, we'd have a bad credit rating listing which could take up to 7 years to clear up once settled. Mom is 98 years old and with over 50 years with credit cards, her own business, etc. And never a bad credit issue, near end of her life, this was unacceptable. So, since I was away, I instructed my sis to just pay it. Now, I called back and got a supervisor at Bradford Exchange who seems to be more compassionate than previous people I dealt with. She agreed to cancel the final bill we just paid, but she claims they never got the payment for. Once I send proof, she says she will refund the amount. Proof being sent tomorrow.

The amount of time we expensed in resolving this issue is worth hundreds of dollars if not more, but finally, it may be over soon. I wouldn't deal with this type of company ever again and hope my story is fair warning for all others.

The Bradford Exchange Poor Customer Service and Lack of Information: My Experience with Bradford Exchange

I made a mistake of ordering commemorative coins for my wife from Bradford Exchange using my smartphone. It took a long time before I received the first coin, and I was surprised to find out that I authorized the company to take payment from my credit card for an unspecified number of items at unspecified intervals over an unspecified period of time. I was disappointed to find out that there was no information on the website about how many items were in the series. I sent a message through the company's website, but the reply I received did not answer my question. I had to send another message to get a response, and even then, the representative did not answer my question. I was frustrated with the lack of customer service.

I received the second item, which came with a display case for 15 coins. I reluctantly decided to continue with the subscription, but then I received an email from the representative informing me that my subscription had been cancelled, which was not what I had requested. I was disappointed that I had lost the opportunity to receive all 16 coins in the series. I tried to contact the representative again, but I did not receive a response.

Overall, I was disappointed with the lack of information on the website and the poor customer service. I would not recommend Bradford Exchange to anyone.

The Bradford Exchange Bradford Exchange Review: False Listings, Runaround Customer Service, and Possible Fraudulent Charges

I was on the hunt for the perfect gift for my girlfriend, and I stumbled upon the BradfordExchange website. I found a beautiful Glacier Waters Montana Sapphire ring with 25 inlaid white topaz that I thought would be perfect. The images of the ring were stunning, and the price was reasonable for the size of the stone if it was indeed a Montana sapphire. So, I decided to take the plunge and make the purchase on August 2nd, 2022. I saw the charge pending on my account and was satisfied that I would receive the ring in 5 to 9 business days. However, that's when the problems began.

Luckily, I had taken a screenshot of the email receipt they sent me because it was later replaced with another email stating there was a problem with my account. They gave me contact information and stated they sent me a statement in the mail with the same info. I called them, and they told me the transaction wasn't authorized through my bank, so they couldn't ship me my item. I contacted my bank, and they said if the transaction wasn't approved, then I wouldn't have a pending transaction on my account. So, I reached back out to the Bradford Exchange, and they changed their story. "Oh yes, the transaction is approved. Thank you for updating us with that, but your billing address is wrong, so we can't finalize the transaction." I was thinking, "How could I have a pending transaction on my account if they have the wrong billing address?" I went ahead and updated them, and they told me everything looked good. I should receive an email for shipment by the next day. I waited and waited, and 6 days rolled around, and the charge fell off my account. So, I reached back out to them, and they told me there was still an issue with my billing and shipping addresses. I updated it and waited, but I started to have my doubts. I really wanted this ring, but 8 days after making the purchase and seeing no history on my Bradford Exchange account, I called back. A lady pulled it up and said everything checked out on my account, but they just didn't have the item in stock at the moment. Meanwhile, the item was very clearly in stock on the website and the first 3 times I called customer service. So, I asked when it should be available, and she said about 2 to 4 weeks. You would think the first 3 times I called about this, they would have had this information since it seemed to be so easy for this customer service agent to find.

A few days later, I received a check at my shipping address from the Bradford Exchange with the amount of $15.50. I thought that was extremely odd, so I held onto it for a few more days before using it as another excuse to find out more info on my order. I made my 5th customer service call and asked about the check, to which the agent didn't really know what it was for. So, I left it alone and asked him about my order. Once again, the billing info was wrong on my account. They only had my shipping address registered, and thus could not ship my item. I made the correction again and asked him if he could confirm the item was in stock and able to be shipped. He told me yes and put me on hold for about 5 minutes, came back, and said yes, the item is ready for shipment. It will be shipped the next day, Friday the 12th of August, and should take about 5 to 9 business days for me to receive it at my correct shipping address. I asked if there would be any proof of shipment I should keep an eye out for, and he said yes, I'll receive an email with shipping info attached. I thanked him and hung up.

The 12th came and went, and I received an email asking me to review the item I never received. I held off, thinking I've waited this long already, I might as well go for the 2-week mark before I raise hell with them about walking me in circles over a $200 silver ring. At this point, it had been so long that I couldn't really remember when I ordered the ring and referred to the email screenshot. I mistook the expected early receive date as the date I purchased it, so I waited a bit longer until today, August 18th, to check the details of the screenshot. I saw that it's already been 16 days since I ordered the item, and there's no payment, no info, and no movement. At that point, I started looking for reviews. I figured since they asked me to review an item that was never shipped, maybe other people had similar issues. I found that the Bradford Exchange doesn't appear to post those reviews anywhere, and I found this place and saw the reviews of other people. I could see some similarities in how my order was being treated to others' experiences.

It kind of feels like they put up a false listing, got me to validate my card for their database to start charging me for some sort of service or fee per month. And it seemed that customer service was giving me the runaround so that they could get me to that 1-month mark and nail me for a subscription that I didn't sign up for. I'm really hoping that isn't the case. I called them up again today, and the same person I had spoken to 3 times prior called me back. We discussed the matter of fraud and dishonest business practices. I told him that there was no reason to delay a shipment for half a month and told him if he could not give me a valid shipment ID with tracking and expected time of delivery today, that I wanted the order canceled, and my account deleted. Any further charges after that, I warned, would be reported to the FTC Federal Trade Commission. He stated that he could not give me any such info, so he told me the account would be closed, and the order canceled.

If anyone reading this has had similar issues with this company and had fraudulent charges posted for goods and services they did not request, I strongly urge you to contact the Federal Trade Commission. Enough calls come in, and they will have no choice but to start an investigation and shut down the Bradford Exchange for unlawful business practices.

The Bradford Exchange Bradford Exchange Review: High Prices, Low Quality, Terrible Ethics

I have a lot to say about Bradford Exchange. I used to work for them as a customer service representative, and let me tell you, I left for a number of reasons. First of all, their business ethics are terrible. As someone who collects high-quality merchandise, I know the value of paying more for something that is clearly better. But with Bradford Exchange, you're paying more for less. Everything they sell is available somewhere else for less money and better quality.

And don't even get me started on their exclusive merchandise. It's all low quality. They sell reproductions of canvas art prints that light up with LEDs, sculptures with other artwork printed on them, and circulated coins with stickers of Obama fastened to them to make them "limited edition." None of it is worth the high price tag. And the worst part is, their target market is senior citizens on fixed incomes who want to spend their pension checks on something nice. It's heartbreaking to sell junk to people who are likely to get ripped off.

But it's not just the quality of their products that's the problem. Their customer service policy is horrendous. Sure, you can return your product for a 100% refund, but that's not enough. Christmas guarantees mean absolutely nothing. If your item is on backorder and won't arrive by Christmas, don't expect to get any notification. And if you don't get it by Christmas, don't expect any compensation beyond a refund or more crappy merchandise. It's not right to rip off customers, especially those who are in need.

And their marketing is just as bad. They trick people into thinking they're getting a whole set of trains for a low price, when in reality, they're only getting one piece. Customers are shocked and disgusted when they find out the full price of what they were expecting. And many customers don't even realize they've subscribed to ordering the series, so they're charged for more pieces without their knowledge. It's a sneaky way to wreck people's finances.

Overall, I wouldn't recommend doing business with Bradford Exchange. They're designed to trick people into spending their money on high-priced, low-quality merchandise. They target people who are in need and emotional, and it's just not right. Save yourself the trouble and find a better company to do business with.

The Bradford Exchange Sister set

I can't believe you took advantage of my naive sister! She wanted to get me the sister set and she thought you had to send it to her and then she had to send it to me. Then when I mentioned to her that there was a chip in the heart plate, you told her she would just have to purchase another one and she would have to pay shipping twice again? That is ridiculous!

I request that you either refund her the replacement amount or send me a shipping label so that I can send them both back to you and you can refund her money. None of that can be considered good customer service. There is no way that this is worth >$200 :(

Claimed loss: >$200

Desired outcome: I request that you either refund her the replacement amount or send me a shipping label so that I can send them both back to you and you can refund her money.

The Bradford Exchange Refund not given

I purchased the rainbow bridge candal holder from the bradford exchange early november 2023. It arrived about two weeks later but I returned it straight away as I was not satisfied with the quality. I had to contact them to see if they had received it as I knew it had been delivered by the tracking number. I paid by credit card but they said they would refund me with a cheque. I never received it, they said I had to wait because of the christmas post, after I kept emailing them about it. After a month it had not arrived so I they said it must be lost in the post and they would send me another cheque out, that was over a fortnight ago and I still have not received it. I paid £70 for the item plus £7 post and packing.

Desired outcome: Please refund

The Bradford Exchange Freedom chopper cuckoo clock

I ordered a Freedom Chopper Cuckoo Clock in September 2023 from the Bradford Exchange online for $165.00, paid for it through my PayPal account, it was delivered to me in October 2023 . The package had another persons name above my address, no problem. After contacting customer service they informed me that my credit card declined the charge. I asked them for the last four digits of the card and I informed them it was not mine. Then they assigned my name to the persons account whose name was on my package and they demanded $271.00 for the clock. After sending my PAYPAL transaction and a copy of my credit card statement showing the Bradford Exchange transaction they still refuse to acknowledge my purchase. Now November 2023 the clock stopped working I contacted customer service , they sent me a return label I shipped the clock back, now they informed me they will not replace my defective product unless I pay them, the Bradford Exchange is a fraud company to deal with.

Harry Fash

Desired outcome: Refund my payment or replace the clock

On 10/12/23, I ordered Thomas Kinkade Light Up Season Ornament collection (box of 4). Instead of paying for it in installments, I paid for the entire box with my credit card. On 10/13, the funds were removed from my account. I received the ornaments on 10/18. On 10/30, I found out that they tried to charge me for another order worth $42.39. They had the...

The Bradford Exchange Checks

I purchased 2 box of plain standard single page checks for $5.99.

I did standard shipping & handling for $2.95 and tax was to be .63 cents for a grand total of $9.57. This was the amount quoted to me when I placed the order online. This was the amount am email sent to me a day later said. Imagine my surprise when they took $27.18 out of my bank account. When I called customer service they said well you ordered 7 years ago and since you ordered once in the past it costs much more. I asked why that wasn't quoted to me on the follow up email stating what they would be charging and they had no answere...but the checks have been mailed so toolate so sorry. I asked to talk to a supervisor and she said it would b a long wait...I said that is perfectly fine. After a half hour she came back and acted like she couldn't hear me and hung up. I can't give a low enough rating for this company!

The Bradford Exchange Items sent back

Last year just before Christmas I bought 2 real born dolls for my grand daughter, I wasn’t satisfied with them so I returned them at my local post office and purchased 2 more dolls which was beautiful.

A while later I received a debt collector letter about the 2 dolls I had returned, I am still battling to this day about these dolls I am not paying for something I no longer have. The serial numbers have been mixed up on both orders and they say they haven’t received them. There is no one to talk to you about this I have tried numerous times spoken to debt collectors about this. I would really appreciate someone from Bradford exchange to get in contact with me to find the dolls in your warehouse.

I paid, what I thought was an initial fee of about $19.99 to ONLY receive free shipping on future orders, as advertised on your website. I had intended to send my 4, very young, grandchildren silver dollar collections every year on their birthdays until they're 21. Apparently by paying this fee, it allows you to send shipments, that I have never ordered...

The Bradford Exchange Rudolph Village

Bradford advertises and shows a 4 piece "Rudolph Village" for $69.99 a piece.

A year later they are still sending me 1 of the come to find out FORTY - yes I said Four Zero - pieces that are a part of this collection. They auto withdraw between $29 and $32 dollars sometimes twice a month from my bank account.

After receiving the fifth piece BUT NOT ANYTHING SHOWN ONLINE I called and inquired.

- They can't tell me what pieces are being sent next

- They don't have a catalogue or listing of available pieces

- They won't send me the items that were pitched as "Free with Purchase" because I haven't completed the collection

- They swear this is all legit and I should have known when I ordered the collection that this was basically a life long scam.

NEVER again BS Exchange...Preying upon people who aren't going to question things like I did and taking, taking, taking!

Desired outcome: TRUTH in advertisingA catalogue with the real inventory of ANY collection

I spoke to them via email and they said they would cancel my subscription and my order and today I see they took money out again. I am going to the bank to file a report.

The Bradford Exchange Unreliable and Dishonest: My Experience with BradfordExchange

My mother passed away in October of 2016, and I had to contact BradfordExchange on November 8th of that year to stop mailings and report a missing coin from the presidential collection. They said they would send it to me at no charge within 10 days. However, at the end of November, I received a check for the credit of the coin instead. I called them on December 5th to report that I needed the coin, not the check, to complete the collection. "Sreege" told me to shred the check and that she would send the coin in my name to my mother's address since her account was closed. Unfortunately, I never received the coin, even though they sent me an invoice for it that they never actually sent.

On January 17th, 2017, I sent a letter and the check from November asking them to send the coin and use the check as payment. On February 6th, 2017, I received two letters stating that there was a discrepancy in their records and that I needed to sign and return them. I mailed both letters back on the same day. On March 3rd, 2017, I received a postcard asking me to call them to discuss my account. I called on March 6th and talked to "Whitney." She told me that the coin was there and had not been sent because I never sent payment. I went through the whole scenario with her, and she talked to her supervisor. She said that they would send the coin at no charge, and I should receive it in 5-10 days. She also said that she had cleared the invoice sent in my name, and I would not receive any further invoices.

However, on March 11th, 2017, I received another check in my mother's name showing that the order was cancelled. Then, on March 18th, 2017, I received an invoice in my name stating that it was the third request and that it was past due. They said they were sending it to the credit department for review. Not only did they prey on a woman in her 80s, but they also messed with me after her passing to try to get multiple payments for shipments that were never sent or received. I told them each time that the check was not cashable due to the estate being in trust. It was a frustrating and disappointing experience dealing with BradfordExchange.

The Bradford Exchange Poor Customer Service and Misleading Rewards Program at BradfordExchange.com

I recently ordered a necklace from BradfordExchange.com that had the names of my grandchildren on it along with their birthstones. I placed the order on November 23rd, 2022 and after about a week, I checked on the status of my order and saw "No Activity". I was worried and contacted customer service. Unfortunately, the female who answered the phone had a strong accent and I could barely understand her. She informed me that there was a backorder but assured me that there was a Christmas delivery promise.

I continued to check the status of my order and still got "No Activity". I emailed customer service three times and each time I was assured that there was a Christmas guarantee delivery. However, on December 20th, I called customer service again and spoke to yet another female who I could not understand. She now claimed that it was still on backorder and may not arrive until January 5th, 2023, despite receiving five confirmations from Bradford that it would be delivered before Christmas.

I was frustrated and disappointed with the lack of communication and clarity from BradfordExchange.com. I believe that they should have better customer service people who speak English. It was difficult to understand what they were saying and it made the situation even more stressful.

To make matters worse, I made sure that I was not enrolled in any Rewards program, and on multiple occasions, I was told that I was not enrolled and would not be charged any fee. However, when I received my Visa bill, there was a $14.95 Rewards fee charge on it. I was angry and immediately cancelled it through my card company. I contacted Bradford and spoke to yet another person who did not speak English. He tried to tell me that I had signed up for it, but I explained to him that I did NOT enroll. He eventually sent me a cancellation notice, but I am still wary that they may try it again next month.

Overall, my experience with BradfordExchange.com was horrible. I would not recommend this company to anyone. The lack of communication, clarity, and customer service was unacceptable. I hope that they can improve their services in the future.

The Bradford Exchange Terrible Customer Service and Billing Issues at BradfordExchange.com

I recently made a purchase on BradfordExchange.com for a vintage Coca Cola clock as a gift for my sister-in-law. However, I was charged for two clocks instead of one. I immediately called their customer service to inform them of the mistake and requested that they release my money for the extra clock. However, they denied charging me for two clocks, even though I was certain that they did.

After receiving only one clock, they still had not released my money for the second clock. I called their customer service multiple times, but nobody would help me. A week later, another clock arrived, even though I had explicitly told them not to ship it out as I had only ordered one. My dad resent the extra clock back to them, but I still did not receive a refund. I continued to call their customer service, but was treated poorly and lied to.

Finally, I called again and asked to speak to a supervisor. The person who answered the phone laughed at me, even though I clearly heard him laughing with someone else. He then proceeded to swear at me and hung up on me. All I wanted was my money back, which they had tied up for over a month and had cost me two overdraft fees totaling $70.

Today, my dad called them and spoke to a supervisor who claimed that they had mailed out a check to me, even though they were supposed to put it back on my debit card. My father and I have spent thousands of dollars with this company, but I will never do business with them again. They are liars, thieves, rude, and just plain stupid. I will also be warning others not to do business with them.

The Bradford Exchange Buyer Beware: Incomplete Shipments and False Advertising from BradfordExchange

I had a bit of a situation with BradfordExchange when I ordered a subscription to the Thomas Kinkade Fairy Garden village collection back in April of 2019. I saw this collection in a magazine and decided to go to their website to place my order. However, as each shipment was sent, there were accessory pieces that were pictured BOTH on their website and in the magazine that were not included in my shipments. I called customer service and was told that I had to purchase at least 3 of the shipments before I would get them all. So, I waited patiently and received the 3 shipments, but still no accessory pieces.

I began a long saga of emails with customer service, and they provided me with one excuse after another. They constantly promised me that I would indeed receive these items, but after I received AND paid for 8 shipments with still missing items, I wrote a review. One of the members of their "escalation" department answered my review, and this started yet another round of emails. First, I was promised that they would reship the shipments that were supposed to contain the accessory pieces, and then I was told that these accessory pieces are not meant to be included with the shipments I have received. They will be included in future issues should the artist decide to continue the series. However, to this date, these accessory items are SHOWN on THEIR website with the shipments I HAVE received.

I have accepted the fact that I am not going to get what I paid for. However, if I can stop one other consumer from being ripped off, I certainly will. If you order from them, just be very aware that what you see pictured may very well NOT be what you receive! So, be careful and make sure to double-check everything before placing your order.

The Bradford Exchange Bradford Checks: A Nightmare Experience from Start to Finish

I really wish I had read the reviews about Bradford Checks before I ordered my checks. Unfortunately, it takes me about ten years to go through an order of checks, and I'm stuck with these lousy checks as a reminder of how much I dislike doing business with Bradford Checks. First, the amount I agreed to pay when I entered my credit card number changed AFTER I submitted my order. I spent at least an hour and a half dealing with customer service that day because it takes an hour for an order to show in their system, and they insisted that I call them back (and then wait on hold for a long time!) Customer service told me that because there are so many coupon codes on the internet, sometimes the prices change after you've placed your order. That's got FRAUD written all over it!

The guy resubmitted my order and tried to get as close as possible to the amount I initially agreed to pay (fortunately I had a screenshot to prove what I'd agreed to pay!), but it was still a few dollars higher than the amount that made me decide to use Bradford as opposed to some other company. Then, when I got my checks, the customer service representative had sent me singles instead of duplicates as agreed to on my initial order. When I called back to have the situation rectified, the guy could see where I'd ordered duplicates and where they sent singles instead, and said the best he could do was refund me (it remains to be seen if they actually refunded my card) and then charge me $3 extra for the duplicates.

I understand that duplicates cost more, but the initial amount I agreed to pay WAS for duplicates, and I paid more than that. With all the hassle I went through and having to WAIT for the corrected checks to come in, I would think they'd have just sent me the corrected checks as a courtesy without charging me THREE extra dollars. Their website stinks (charging me extra after I submitted my order), and their customer service is definitely lacking. I will not be ordering from Bradford Checks again!

The Bradford Exchange Buyer Beware: Terrible Customer Service from Bradford Exchange's Christmas Village Collection

I bought a Christmas Village collection from BradfordExchange.com for my wife as a Christmas present. The pieces arrived mostly on time, and she was happy until the final order arrived three weeks ago. For two weeks, the tracking number they provided was invalid, which made me feel uneasy about their abilities. When I called and spoke with someone about the invalid number, they told me that they couldn't do anything about it. Really? Really?

Finally, the parcel arrived two weeks late. The collection was Muppet-themed, which is my wife's favorite, and it featured figures of all her favorite characters. After the final delivery, we noticed that we did not receive two of the figures that were originally advertised.

I sent an inquiry email, but I got no response. I called them, and they told me that the picture was five years old, and the two figurines in question were no longer being produced. They had not been produced in some time. I told them that they should take five minutes and snap a new photo or let their customers know. I was considering canceling the entire order and returning it, and they told me that someone from the marketing department would call me back within 48 hours.

That was a little over 10 days ago, and the 'marketing' department never called. I placed my third call this morning, and they told me that the figures were no longer available. That was it! So I am in the process of canceling the entire order and returning it to them. This was terrible customer service! I cannot stress enough how good they are at taking money and how bad they are at servicing the customer after the fact.

Since my initial complaint to the BBB and several other consumer advocacy groups, the Bradford Exchange actually placed new photos on their site that did not contain the figures in question. Later, they removed them to respond to the BBB claim. Fortunately, I saved a cached version of that page with the 'new' photos that Bradford then claimed never existed to the BBB. I actually caught them lying:)

The moral of the story is buyer beware of these guys!
