On Friday, Dec 1, 2023, at about 12:30 pm a plumber arrived at the house, my family is renting from Sylvan Homes. This service call was regarding a septic tank issue. Several members of my family were concerned with a sewer smell in the upstairs hall bathroom. Therefore, we asked for the septic tank to be cleaned out. Upon arrival plumber stated that there's no septic tank on the property, waste goes directly to sewer line. No other work was performed. My husband and daughter were with him the whole time, visit took less than five minutes. Not enough time to take up a toilet and unclog it. Sylvan has never produced an itemize invoice or any invoice for that matter, just sent an email requesting a $350 payment. There has been countless emails and phone calls to resolve this issue. My husband has spoken to the Property Manager - Tiffany multiples times and no results. Just a random picture of a drain that could've been taken anywhere. No proof of a toilet or any work was performed at the house we rent on Dec 1,2023 at about 12:30 pm. From the beginning - Tiffany from Sylvan tried to gain access to the property for the plumber without anyone being present. I feel that this was going to happen to us no matter what. This was fraudulent charge that was going to take place regardless of anyone being present. How did the issue go from a septic tank cleaning to a clogged toilet. We would never need service for a clogged toilet. As former homeowners we know how to unclog a toilet if necessary and this wasn't the case at all. And unclogging a toilet doesn't cost $350 and doesn't involve pulling up a toilet. We need this situation resolved. This is now the second month of communication without an end. I am including screenshots of the text messages between myself & Tiffany of Sylvan Homes - Manager & also my husband messages with Tiffany. Where's the proof that the drain in question is from our house. No indicators of the property I'm renting not even a picture of the outside of the property let alone the interior bathroom in question. Which bathroom toilet did he work on? There are several. Please ask plumber to describe in detail the bathroom and why it was necessary to pull up toilet. Simple answer he can't because it didn't happen.
Desired outcome: Removal of the $350 service fee from my account with Sylvan Homes.

I don't know who marked my previous complaint against Sylvan Homes regarding a fraudulent plumbing charge as resolved but nothing has been done. No one from Sylvan Homes has contacted me. Not by phone or email. Why are they allowed to put resolved on my complaint without any contact. It's been three days since I posted this complaint. In fact, I had been receiving several phone calls regarding this situation and now the last few days nothing, no phone calls. This is underhanded and unethical practice. You are not even honoring my request by engaging in conversation pertaining to the charge amount of $350. The charge still shows under my tenant count. I will provide proof that the charge is still there. To Sylvan Customer Service Manager or Management contact me so that this can be discussed in detail. I will not allow this charge to stand. Plumber did not perform any work let alone $350 worth of work for a 5-minute visit. I don't understand how Sylvan is allowed to post resolved without any evidence that any contact has taken place. I double checked my email and phone calls nothing from Sylvan since I posted this. i was hoping for a quick and honest solution to the problem. I am basically back at square one. This forum doesn't hold a company accountable, when allowed to just post resolved without any contact or effort made. I am floored by this response. This my second request to get this problem rectified, in a timely manner that benefits everyone.
