I am a customer with a prepaid lease that your company inherited from Sungevity.

Back in April 25th I contacted your customer service that the critter guards installed by your company had failed an that animals were under the panels. At that time also told them that previously there were animals under the solar panels that chewed on the wires.

On may 3 your customer service not understanding what I has said, stated that they were not going to install critter guards for free and that they were not going to send an technician out because the system was still producing electricity.

July 2023 was the first summer month where I did not have a surplus.

On August 15 I noticed an error warning of Riso Low on my invereter.

The "Riso Low" error on an ABB inverter indicates that the inverter has detected a ground fault in the PV array or that the PV module's insulation resistance is too low. The inverter measures the insulation resistance of the PV generator compared to ground before connecting to the grid. If the insulation resistance is less than 1 MOhm, the inverter does not connect to the grid and shows the “Riso Low” error.

The "Riso Low" error is usually caused by water or moisture. It can also be caused by AC leakage currents.

This is an issue that requires the expertise of a local solar power expert.

I called customer service on August 15 and they stated that they could not do anything at that time because my system was still producing and I would have to call back in two days. Later that afternoon the sun came out and the error disappeared.

Two dry days came and went and the error did not reappear.

Another call was made on August 18th and an appointment was made for a technician to come out.

On August 22 a technician came to the house and saw the error message and saw debris under the solar panels. The technician stated that he would need further help to solve the problem. The technician stated that he would prepare his report and that I should wait for a call from customer service to schedule another appointment.

After a week and half and three phone calls I finally was able to speak to someone in reference to my case. She stated that she had only received my case the day before.

At that time the customer service rep stated that I would have to pay $331 for maintenance on the solar panels before they can start trouble shooting the Low Riso problem. At that time I asked the service rep why I had to pay for maintenance on solar panels that I didn't own, and she stated that that the way it had to be.

I protested and then asked for a copy of my agreement that I signed with Sungevity. I have reviewed the lease agreement and there is no mention anywhere that I am obligated to pay any maintenance fees associated with the solar panel.

Desired outcome: Fees waived, system repaired
