Our leased home solar system went into service about 6 months ago. Since our credit rating was below the minimum needed to obtain the system, our salesman suggested that we use a family member with a good credit rating to sign for us. This involved adding him on our deed for a 1/3 share of our home. We were not made aware of the future complications that would arise from this action. I requested that your transfer dept. transfer the lease to us, but since our credit is still below par, they refused to do it, unless we pay a fee of $250.00. We do not understand why we have to "pay off" Sunrun in order to transfer the lease. That tells us that it's all about money. In addition, by placing my brother on our deed, we ended up losing our Florida Homesteading Tax Discount for both 2022 and 2023, which totals around $1,600.

Also, many misrepresentations regarding our solar savings were continuously made. We are seriously considering retaining a lawyer to help us out of this situation.

Desired outcome: To have the lease transferred back to us at no charge.
