I am getting lied to that GM is away on Vacation + Avoiding Me + Staff are friends and are not caring about customer service and problem

Unprofessional and makes me feel like I am not even dealing with actual human beings

- The Manager on duty the evening of Oct. 14 2023 Was a women who was very condescending and rude; Gave me his Email and card & now is not responding, this is what I wrote.

I also left them my phone number so they can get in touch with me

I live out of town and costs lots of Gas Money to go there

Dear, General Manager Rup Parmar + Staples Customer Service,

I am writing to express my disappointment with the recent interaction I had at your store. On Oct. 14th 2023 (purchasing time 17:51) , I visited the Nanaimo Location to purchase an item that was on sale. The assistant manager on duty kindly agreed to honor the sale price, which I greatly appreciated.

However, when I reached the cash register, the manager insisted that this was not allowed. Despite my attempts to explain that the assistant manager had already promised me the discounted price, she remained unyielding. It felt like speaking to a robot; she even had to consult the store policy to verify her stance.

I want to emphasize that this situation goes beyond mere inconvenience. As a customer, I believe that our agreement constituted a legally binding contract. Once a deal is made with a company, it becomes legally valid. The inability to have a respectful conversation and the manager’s refusal to acknowledge my valid points left me feeling frustrated and unheard.

Furthermore, she claimed that “the system didn’t allow it,” which I know is untrue based on my previous conversation with the assistant manager. This lack of transparency eroded my trust in Staples as a reliable retailer.

I kindly request that you address this matter promptly. Ideally, I would appreciate it if you could honor the promised sale price or provide an explanation for the discrepancy. As a loyal customer, I hope for a positive resolution.
