Went through Costco to get new countertops. They sent "Contractor Source" / “Spraggins, Inc. Gary Foy [protected] who sold us on a quartz countertop with veins. At no point did he raise a red flag that our choice of countertops was going to look bad with the veins not connecting at the seam, he left us with the feeling it would look great. Also, his measuring guy agreed the slabs veins would match up. Of course, we didn’t get it in writing, who would think that you need to specify if you have two slabs joined together to match the veins.

On the island the veins did not match at the seams at all, one slab has multiple veins meeting up with white. The slab next to our oven had an extra extension that was never on our original countertops nor on the measured schematic. It is this weird extra piece that instead of having a right angle at the corner it wraps onto our wall. Finally, the slabs at our stovetop are different thicknesses and veins don’t match. Now we have a demo'd kitchen with no way to cook and the Gary is telling us they are done and if we have issues to call Costco.

As a side note, my wife and I are sales techs for the family business. I say that because we go to houses weekly and interact with customers and often have to explain to them why we won’t do a thing a certain way because it would look horrible. I cannot understand how a sales tech would not put a hard stop on the sale if the product would undoubtable look horrible on matching the veins. This is a direct reflection on the poor quality of this company.

Desired outcome: replace bad slabs with good ones and fix the slab installed incorrectly
