Smooth Relocation Vanlines should be shut down by the BBB for improper and unethical business practices. They fleeced me out of thousands of dollars by using highway robbery piracy techniques, held my items hostage, sent only one single mover (who was very rude and swore at me in foreign tongues) to move me cross country, and I wasn't able to get ahold of anyone in their office for months after they moved my items. When i finally got a call back from them, the "manager" was rude and wouldn't let me get a word in edgewise. He told me point blank "if we quoted you the full price beforehand, nobody would hire us" and fully admitted that they have to steal money from you once your items are loaded on the truck. If I could give them negative stars, I would. Horrible and disgustingly slimy individuals!

What they could not lose they broke. Gave us quote for $6,000 and changed it to $9,000 upon arrival. Then when 99% of the times were loaded upped the quote to ***. Lost, trashed and broke many items. Some boxes were opened and items missing from inside the boxes. Worst experience ever! Six months later we realized that they overcharged us by $1,000 and when confronted about it they took a while to answer and said that we have to sign and notarize a settlement form. Demanding for us to spend a day going around getting the forms printed and notarized and mailed in if we want to get our refund back. It costs money for us to take time off for all this while they could just refund *** back what they owe.Most incompetent company we have ever dealt with. Moved from ***, *** to ***, .

Terrible experience with this company. They broke items as they were unloading, we watched them, they denied it but luckily some of the hired unloaders said no we just damaged it. They get your business and than you don't hear from them after the move to deal with problems. They charge extra charges all along the way from load to delivery. The customer service is terrible when you have to deal with problems. It is never their fault and they take no responsibility for anything. I would highly recommend you don't go with them, they don't care. I would go with another reputable company and make sure they come out and look at your items. Overall very bad experience as driver was had threatened my wife by stating what they do with women in the *** (did not want to hear anything she had to say). I could on on and on with the terrible experience. "

I used *** to move last month from *** to ***, and they were absolutely great. They arrived to pick everything up much sooner than expected given the window they quoted, and delivery was the same. The movers that showed up to load did a great job packing and wrapping everything, and they were so incredibly helpful and nice. They assured me that after they took my belongings, the only other person that would touch them would be the delivery drivers. They also arrived earlier than expected, and did a great job taking care of my belongings as well as my new house during the move in process. I couldn't be happier, these guys are definitely worth the money (and their pricing seems fair)! I worked with *** and she was extremely helpful. I kept changing the amount of things I was having them move right up until the last minute, and they handled it incredibly well. I would highly recommend these guys."

I used them to move from *** to *** December . I had a pleasant experience from start to finish. *** was very knowledgeable, helpful and patient. We went over the list a few times to get it as close to accurate as possible - moving is costly no matter who you chose so I wanted it to be fairly accurate. The movers packed my art and more delicate pieces with ease and securely. Everything arrived on the day promised without an issue. I was charged a little more for delivery to the second floor as it was further than they allowed in the agreement but *** made me aware that this was a possibility. In the end, we over estimated so I came in under what I expected.Here is it May and I am moving yet again. Without hesitation, I reached out to Smooth Relocation for this move as well. I have no belief to think this move will not go as smooth as the last one and would not hesitate to recommend them based on my experience.

I can't say enough great things about Jannah, my assigned *** Pricing Coordinator, has helped my family with multiple moving date shifts as we work through our next chapter. This family owned business truly collaborates for a great customer experience by taking the time to explain the why behind their best practices and makes sure you are comfortable every step of the way.Therefore, if you are moving out of state from *** (within 80 miles, ***, or ***, ), make sure you work with Smooth Relocation Van lines because of their risk free reservation policy*. *The current risk free reservation policy allows you to change your moving dates, inventory list and address with in *** mile radius to a 200 mile diameter without any fees as long you contact your rep at least 2 business days prior to your more and if the move was cancelled you are eligible for a 100% refund on the deposit up to 2 business days prior to your initial pick up date.

VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE-DO NOT RECOMMEND! I started with a quote of $1700 and in the end paid $2600! During pickup I was charged an extra $184 for elevator and loading dock use which was supposed to make it easier since I lived on the third floor. During delivery I was charged an extra $172 due to them moving up 1 flight of stairs. They tell you that 1 flight is free however if that one flight has smeller steps they charge you. Anyway, this company is a rip off! They say that they are family owned but they just used 3rd party movers that barely speak english. They delivered 1 week late. The driver smiled in my pace when he saw that I was very upset to have to come out of pocket AGAIN after delivery. They only take cash or UPS money order by the way. I called dispatch during my delivery and they were more professional than the drivers at least however, they did not work with me. As a student, I trusted this company and I am so upset that I did. Please save yourself and your pocket and DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

Our experience with Smooth Relocation Vanlines was overwhelmingly positive. The movers were professional and communicative every step of the way leading up to the move. *** was friendly, clear and quick to respond to any questions we had. Even the most silliest ones. Hey, who would of thought you would be panicking how to pack an iron board and fishing rods. On the day of our move, the moving crew arrived on time and promptly began their work. Shrink wrap and protective moving blankets were available to protect our items. They were efficient and careful in transporting fragile objects. When unloading at the final destination, the movers helped us arrange furniture and placed boxes where it was most convenient for us. Although our final estimate did increase, something that we werent expecting at all we were explained it was because of the larger than expected items we took. Overall other than the slight change in price our family will definitely recommend Smooth Relocation Vanlines to anyone looking for a future move!

PDO NOT *** THIS SCAM COMPANY! Moved from *** to *** gave me a low ball quote on phone then 2 days before I close on home and they show up to move price almost doubled! When they moved furniture to *** they told me they use their employees and bragged about that problem is they LIED! They used craiglist workers and also driver was a contractor. Had mice dropping in my boxes they stored for 2 months also they broke mirror. They said the put everything together but forgot to tell contractor that he told me does not put together outside furniture. What a joke trying to get money from their insurance company! BEAWARE they said send 2 estimates for repair they around $200 problem is they said only getting $15 they said thats what contract insurance says so heads up!WH*** A ***! I guess ok to break things when thats your job to make sure nothing gets broken or you fix it . Why waste my time getting estimates and only get $15 wasted that in fuel! IF I could use negative stars would be -5 star! *** YOUR OWN RISK

Smooth Relocation Vanlines movers have some of the best crew members on the business, *** and *** moved my furniture through the narrow hallways and winding stair cases of my building flawlessly managing to ingeniously pivot and rotate objects so that they could wiggle through spaces without leaving scratches on furniture or marks on walls. They thought quickly on their feet and I feel like they might secretly be world Tetris champions! As for demeanor the are warm, engaging, and attentive to a clients concerns and needs. I always felt taken care of at the time of booking, which is rare for me as I am autistic and my different thought and speech patterns fail to convey alot of information that might be necessary. They worked with me, we got what we needed done and I am very pleased. This is my second move within our family with Smooth Relocation Vanlines and I will definitely be booking the company for my any long distance move! I just might want to stock up on some tools or aids for workers. I had 22 boxes filled with just books and boardgames (which were a full HALF of my boxes) so maybe I should get some spare knee pads or back braces so that my hobbies dont wear down the great people that work here.

We hired Smooth Relocations to move our household from ***, ***, to ***, the move to take place in late July . As I continue to deal with the damages to furniture, as well as the house we moved from AND the house we moved to, I have to warn others about this company. Our estimate for the move was $25,000. I had gone thru the entire *** house with pictures, measurements, and full descriptions of EVERYTHING--requesting special care for our many antiques. The contract stated that no additional charges would be incurred, and that the move would occur with their own semi truck. On moving day, three small rental trucks drove up, instead of the promised semi. The "padded wrapping" of the antique furniture was laughable--just a few layers of plastic wrapped around the items. The promised "crate" to be built around our bronze statue was a cardboard box. NO protection was laid down on the carpets, although we repeatedly asked for it. Upon arriving in ***, there was again no carpet or hardwood floor protection laid down--again, we REPEATEDLY asked for it --demanded it. The unloading crew was not the same crew as the loading group had been, and only one man spoke English. I won't go into details of the damage (my blood pressure is rising, just remembering a year later...). We filed damages, included full descriptions and photographs of scratches, dents, stained carpeting on the stairs, etc. We totaled the damages to be repaired, using moderate estimates from local repair and cleaning establishments--the total was $5,000. We knew we wouldn't see that amount. However, when the offer of settlement came--for $95--we laughed. Yes, ninety-five dollars. We did not sign the settlement document. We have filed reports with the ComplaintsBoard.com, as well as attorneys general in both *** and ***.

First I would like to start with I did not authorize this company to accept my furniture for delivery. I initially arranged for a long distance move with *** and they coordinated *** to coordinate the move. Upon speaking with Pick up movers they assured me *** is their sister company. Being that my mother had to be moved out the following morning, my hands were tied so I requested that Pick up movers and *** send documents in writing stating their association and that they are sisters companies. The documents was provided however the standards which was promised by Pick up movers was not upheld. At this point Im just expecting the bare minimum based off of the reviews. Simple professionalism wasnt even upheld and the mover seemed upset that he had to do the project to begin with. Upon delivery excess packaging was left behind and when asked if he could get rid of the trash he stated its a courtesy to get rid of this. I spent *** dollars and you cant simply clean behind yourself? Also throughout the waiting period I requested shipping estimates and updates on my delivery so I could arrange freight elevator 48 hours in advance. *** and *** both assured me this would happen and it never did. I was informed a day before which left me pleading with my building to allow me access to the freight elevator. I also had to frequently follow up with *** and *** regarding sending receipts of my payments because Im sending a large amount of money. They would confirm they received the payment but I would have to call back several times to get my receipt of payment. I spoke with a manager, ***, regarding my frustrations and I explained the poor communication of his staff, movers, etc. He told me hes trying hard to not disrespect me. I never cursed at the man simply told him how unprofessional the service is and communication is poor/lacking.

First issue is when I booked the service I was quoted the price but I told them I would call back with exact measurements of the totes I was using and the entertainment center I was moving. I called gave the dementions and was told no change in the price. The day of the pick up I get a call from my daughter in Chicago in a panic. They want $2000.00 more dad. I asked to speak to the foreman explain that ALL measurements were given to the sales person and the price he quoted me. To which I was told well he was wrong. (Legal term bait and switch). Over the phone decided not to ship a bunch of items. Then as they were getting the antique secretary ready to move they took two shelves out. Never put them on the truck. As they left they did not give any paperwork to my daughter or explain if they had a tracking system. Day of delivery goes from bad to worse. First the driver announces he's here and I go looking for him. Find him and he demands $300.00 more. I point to the contract which reads 78.00 if from parking lot to door is greater than 75 feet. To which he reply's $300.00 or your stuff doesn't get delivered. (Legal term Extortion). As they start moving my stuff into the apartment he refused to wear a mask even though requested due to Covid. My furniture and totes were treated no better than trash. He comes in demands that I sign all the paperwork before counting all items. I tried he stated if he had to stay while I counted that's another $100.00. I point out he broke the glass top which they packed his comment was oh well crap happens. As I was unpacking it came to be that 4 totes were missing. I called dispatch and she stated she would talk to the driver but not sure if they would find them. A week later I was told file a claim with their insurance. Luckily I am anal about stuff and had done a whole home inventory. I have submitted the claim. I have also filed claims with the ComplaintsBoard.com in Chicago and Phoenix, as well as consumer fraud claims with the Illinois and Arizona states Attourney offices. Also a claim against them with the interstate commerce commission as the move went across state lines. If my insurance claim is rejected I plan on getting Mesa PD involved. I wish I could give zero stars. Please note that this review is written under my constitutional rite of freedom of speech.

DO NOT USE! RUN! RUN! I would give negative stars if possible. The good reviews have got to be paid for. We had our original movers American VanLines cancel on us the day before our scheduled move and Smooth Reloaction was the only mover we could find available to come out and do a cross country move in 1 day THERE IS A REASON THEY WERE THE ONLY ONES AVAILABLE! We were stuck and they took full advantage. The quote they gave us was twice the amount of American and the salesman *** aka Satan; tries to sell the good guy image as they are more because they dont hide fees or quote low like the other guys and then hit you with a ton of feesLIES, LIES, ALL LIES! So the quote was *** where did we end up? ***! *** LIED LIED AND LIED some more through the whole process. How that man can look at himself in the mirror each day baffles me for the way he treats people. Back to the lies: #1. When we called we said we had a house closing and we had to be out by 11am, can you get a truck here and have us out by 11am?his answer: Yes. What really happened.after you sign the dotted line on the contract and pay the *** deposit, the scheduler called and said the truck would e there by 10:30am so we had 30 minutes to move a 4 bedroom home! #2. In email and in conversation my husband and I both asked him how a business day was defined for them, was it Mon-Fri or 7 days a week? He said 7 days a week, so when they quote delivery as of 14 days we planned for the longest being 14 calendar days.NOPE, once you pay the second 70% deposit in CASH to the movers that pick up the stuff, they inform you that business days is Mon-Fri! and that 14 days does not even start until the day you say you are available to accept the goods, not the day they pick up the goods. NOW onto the actual accepting of goods. Book cases were broken, Mattress dirty(they claim they use mattress bagsNOPE), Broken 2 bikes, Broken exercise equipment, One full box of glassware shattered AND to top it off, the movers CLAIMED my couch would not fit in my apartment so they left it outside in the hallway outside my door. I told them how to get the couch in by removing the padding, cushions and feet but they refused. I am happy to report, the next day I hired 2 guys from Task Rabbit to come over and move the couch inside. PLUS the final payment has to be in cash as well. AND they charge if they have to walk more then 75 feet to deliver the goods. The mover literally walked toe to toe when he showed up so he could charge us the extra fee I cannot stress enough to NOT USE THESE PEOPLE, THEY ARE PURE EVIL. They deal mainly in cash which is sketchy! RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN,DO NOT USE! DO NOT USE!
