Extra charging and not refunding my money They are charging me for extra which is not in contract and their accountblity is not working proper. In my contract said they will provide me 3 month free alarm system but they charging me from 1st day.

Alarm is unserviceable, they refuse to fix. It was 45 + minutes (20 + on hold) to tell them my system had a fault reading on the panel. They already knew there was a problem because they called at 2 am to tell me I had a technical problem. The first women I spoke to gave me a hard time about a verbal password, I was not trying to cancel an alarm! She could not identify the problem and passed me on to another women, she could not identify the problem either. She was rude when I tried to figure out what to do next and hung up without saying anything. Securtek is refusing to fix the problem even though I have been a customer with United Alarm/Securtek for almost 10 years. I am still being charged, but the system does not work at all.

Services requested to be cancelled in May . Just found out this was never done and I have been charged every month since then. I moved my business in May , i requested Securtek to quote services at my new location. A rep visited the location, but failed to provide me pricing in a timely manner so I moved to a different security company. I requested to have my services cancelled, and just found out that this was never done and I have still been getting charged monthly. I called Securtek about this and was told they could cancel now, but would still charge me for the next 30 days! This was a mess up by their employee. I did not know there was any sort of cancellation process needed as I informed the person i was dealing with I was not happy and would no longer need their services, not knowing he did nothing with this information.

Switch of contractor without duly informing us. We had a contract with *** for smoke/fire alarm, door/window alarm & video at back door. Securtek bought out *** without either *** or Securtek informing us. They had even dropped the protection service with their sloppy non-response time. When we finally disonnected the alarm due to nothing working properly, it took until the next day for Securtek to notify us! It was just at that time that we found out that Securtek had bought out *** contracts. They refuse to acknowledge anything and will not even consider allowing us out of a contract that they are not honoring. *** Now it looks like we're being forced to abide by a contractor we did not agree to and who is very untrustworthy!

5 minute response time when alarm is going off. I signed up with ***, Not securetek I singed up 2 years ago with ***. 3 months ago, they transferred my Service to Securtek with out asking me. ***. 5 minutes response time when my alarm went off. This happened twice. How are you supposed to feel safe in your home when it takes over 5 mins for them to contact you? There is 1 lady in customer service and she is so rude and disrespectful. I asked to break my contract and she said she is going to charge me $900! I have 16 months left on my contract at $27.95/month. Contract states 87% buy out rate. Which would bring it to $389.06!. *** never even installed any equipment. It was all existing and the tech told me it was just to secure the price, and I am not liable for breaking my contract as I am not paying equipment charges! I am beyond angry with this compnay

I called in Sept to cancel my contract as my house sold, possession Oct 23rd. They say they never got this call. Then end of Oct (31st) I got a call From the monitoring station saying there was an alarmcode. I advised that I cancelled to which they informed me that the monitoring had not been cancelled on their end. I removed the equipment on the 23rd of Oct and sent it back to *** and they had not even noticed until the 23rd? Then on Nov 2nd I called and spoke to someone who said they had computer issues and would call me back. Today Nov 5th called again and was told that there is still 35 maths left on my contract! I was told that my system was being moved from *** Street to *** Street as I still had a contract (that they would not let me out of)and that I was just signing for the new hookup under the original contract. Now the person at this business is saying that I signed a new contract and I owe them $52.11 for another 35 months! I am retiring and can not afford this ***. I owned that house on *** Street for 12 years so I am pretty sure I fulfilled my contract obligation years ago. Further no one EVER told me I was signing a new contract.

Around Oct 27/19 I had *** ($230 cost) change out the batteries in 5 of my sensors and replace 2 of the sensors. I wanted to make sure that everything was working before we left on vacation for the winter. The alarm was tested and it worked. On Dec 1/19, *** had SecurTek take over the monitoring function. We returned from vacation on March 16/20 and shortly thereafter I called United Alarm to test the alarm. They redirected me to SecurTek. They tested, no signal was received and they tried to walk me through the trouble shooting steps. Nothing worked. They redirected me to *** with the same results. Ultimately, *** was able to remotely get my system back on line. I was distressed that while we were away for the winter, my home alarm system was not monitored. *** takes no responsibility for the failure of any of their equipment. Their maximum liability is $250. I asked *** to reimburse the almost 6 months of monitoring costs but they said that it was now a SecurTek issue. My first call to them was on Apr 17. Left a message with the person who answered. Called again April 21. Again April 23. Again Apr 27 and spoke to Melanie who said there was no record of my 3 previous calls. She offered to have my monitoring costs waived for the next 5 months. I said no. I wanted a refund. I had lost all confidence in them and I was going to go elsewhere. She said she would progress my complaint. On April 27 I spoke to ***. Apr 28 to ***. On May 4 to *** again and she said management was aware and they would let me know. On May 5 *** said it is with management. On May 7 she said that management will only refund 3 months as I need to take some responsibility for the failure. I said I spent $230 to make sure my system was working - how much more could I have done ? She said that that is what management told her to tell me.
