I really like the Gabled Veranda Cover they made! But, they could improve their communication when they drop off stuff on the driveway (like the dumpster and materials) without telling us when they're coming. Also, they don't always respond to texts or calls. I didn't get the building permit until I paid at the end of the job. But, they did a great job overall. Everyone we talked to was nice! Communication is my main issue. I would recommend Schmucker Quality Construction because of their good work!

I obtained 3 estimates and they were $6,000 less than *** and they use the same metal from *** and the lifetime screws. The only difference was the gauge of metal. The roof looks great. He responded to my texts in a timely manner, even on vacation; Sorry?. The only complaint is the gutter company Jason uses. It took 3 weeks to finish a simple 1 story house because they kept on forgetting supplies plus I had them fix a certain side because it was leaning away from down spout. Now, it's all fixed and everything looks great. Thanks

Jason did a wonderful job on our house project. He was the only contractor that took the time to discuss our wants and needs. Our original contractor backed out after we waited 4 months for him to start. Jason came over and gave us a quote the same day and was willing to get the project started in 2 weeks. Jason and his crews were great. They corrected any issues we may had and never complained about it or made excuses. They went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied. Also, they cleaned up every night which we appreciated. We would, and have, recommend him to other friends. Our project included adding a covered patio, extending and adding front covered porch, shed roof on detached workshop and replacing the entire roof with metal roofing.

We hired Schmucker Quality Construction, LLC to put in a new roof and they ended up damaging the brand new window trim that was less than a year old. They sent out one of their workers to fix it, but the caulking cracked within a week. I would have preferred if the people who installed the windows came out to retrim them. I called Schmucker and spoke with them, but it's been two weeks and I haven't heard anything back from them. I might have to look into getting someone else to install the windows. I even have pictures of the damage done by Schmucker's construction.

I hired Schmucker Quality Construction, LLC to do a roof tear off and add front and rear porches. We signed the contract on 6/24 and they were supposed to call before starting, but they just showed up on 07/29. While working, they left holes in the house that let water in and damaged it. They came to fix it on 8/7, but more water leaked in on 8/12. I have photos and a video of the damage, but it still hasn't been fixed. Some electrical work needed to be done, so work couldn't continue until it was done. The building inspector of Auburn came out and gave the electrician the green light, but then told me that a permit for the city of Auburn wasn't filed. I had to file the permit myself with an email stating that SQC would handle all permits. The inspector then told us that more work needed to be done before final approval. Work only moved forward when I called or texted them. What was supposed to be a week-long project has turned into a 3-month project. If you want more information, I can email it to you.

Schmucker and I made a deal on 7/20 for them to put in a deck, outside door, new siding, facia, soffit, and gutters on our crib. They said they'd start in a couple of weeks, but after a couple of weeks and a couple of no-shows, they finally came to put in the deck and door. The door is all messed up and has big gaps that let in the outside air. While waiting for them to start the siding job, people would show up unannounced to check out the job. That's when I found out that Schmucker wasn't going to do any work but would sub-contract it out to the lowest bidder. After talking to Schmucker, his project manager, and the contractors, they said they'd start on August 31st. I left work to meet them, but they didn't show up. They said they'd start on September 13th, but they didn't show up until the 15th, and they were hit or miss after that. Some days they wouldn't show up, and some days only one person was working. There's always trash in my yard and nails in my driveway. I've asked for a completion date many times, but they won't give me one. Last week they said they'd finish, but they didn't. As of Monday 11/9, it's still not done, and I haven't gotten an update. Four months is way too long. I just want them to finish the job.
