I gotta say, I was pretty impressed with Save The Children. My fam back home was telling me about how they help out the kids in our town, and I was like, "Yeah, right. Like anyone actually cares about us." But then I went to visit and I saw with my own two eyes how much of a difference they were making.

The kids were all smiles, running around and playing like they didn't have a care in the world. And it wasn't just the kids, either. The whole community seemed to be doing better. I saw new schools and clinics, and people seemed to be more hopeful about the future.

I don't know how they do it, but Save The Children is really making a difference. They're not just throwing money at the problem and hoping it goes away. They're working with the community to find real, sustainable solutions. And it's not just in my town, either. They're helping kids all over the world, from war-torn countries to areas hit by natural disasters.

I gotta say, I'm a believer now. If you're looking for a charity to support, you can't go wrong with Save The Children. They're doing good work, and they're doing it right.

So, I've been supporting Save The Children for a year now, but I gotta say, I'm not too happy with how things have been going. I mean, we never got any word from the child we were sponsoring, and we don't even know if the money we sent ever reached her. All we got were a bunch of letters asking for more donations. Like, come on, we're already doing our part, can't they at least let us know if our support is actually making a difference?

Honestly, if we had just one official word from our sponsored child, or if we knew for sure that our money was actually helping her, we would have been more than happy to continue supporting her. But as it stands, we're just left feeling kind of frustrated and unsure about the whole thing.

I mean, don't get me wrong, I still believe in the mission of Save The Children and all the good work they do. But it's hard to feel good about helping when you're not even sure if your help is actually making a difference. I just wish there was more transparency and communication when it comes to the sponsorship program.

My experience with Save the Children was not a good one. Two people from the organization came to my workplace and asked for donations. The person in charge of the group asked me if I would like to donate some money to help children in need. I told him that I couldn't because I had a mortgage to pay. He then said, "Most people in your situation would donate money." His response made me feel like he was only interested in getting a commission from my donation.

After this incident, I decided to make a complaint to Save the Children. However, I never received a response from them. This made me feel like they didn't care about my concerns and that they were only interested in getting donations from people.

Overall, I wouldn't recommend Save the Children to anyone. Their approach to fundraising seems to be more focused on getting donations than on helping children in need. I believe that there are other organizations out there that are more deserving of our support and that truly care about making a difference in the lives of children.

I gotta say, I'm pretty darn frustrated with this charity called Save The Children. I've asked them a bunch of times to stop sending me their mailings, but they just keep on coming. And when I try to email them about it, I don't get any response. It's like they don't even care about what I want.

But that's not even the worst part. I did some digging and found out that they make it really hard to cancel your donations. Like, what kind of charity does that? If they can't even let you stop giving them money when you want to, how can you trust them to use your donations in a responsible way?

Honestly, if this is how they operate, I wouldn't give them a single penny. It's just not worth it. They clearly don't know how to be professional or ethical. So my advice to you is to stay far, far away from Save The Children.

So, I gotta tell ya, I messed up big time when I was trying to donate some money to the Haiti Children's Relief Fund. I accidentally sent the payment to the Global Fund instead. I was freaking out, man. I mean, I wanted the money to go where our students thought it would be going. But, you know what? Save the Children came through for us.

I called them up and explained the situation. And, let me tell you, they were totally cool about it. They understood my concern and redirected the funds the very next day. I was so relieved, you have no idea.

But, that's not all. They even sent me an email asking for our school's mailing address so they could send a certificate of gratitude to our 23 students for their $300 donation. And, you know what? That certificate arrived in the mail just this week. Our students were so stoked to get it. They felt like they had really made a difference.

Now, I know $300 may not seem like a lot of money to some people. But, to us, it was a big deal. And, even though we weren't the biggest donors out there, Save the Children still took the time to make our students feel special. And, you know what? That's what really matters. They showed us that every donation counts, no matter how big or small.

So, if you're looking for a charity to support, I highly recommend Save the Children. They're not only doing great work around the world, but they also care about their donors and the impact they're making. Thanks, Save the Children, for all that you do!

I am a grandmother of two special little kids who have been staying at Save The Children's Rescue The Children facility. Unfortunately, since they have been there, they have lost a lot of weight and one of them even calls the food "slop". It's not even good enough to feed animals. I am concerned about where all the money donated is going because they are feeding the residents expired food. The meat they serve is pepperoni, not real or fresh meat. They were even giving the moms and kids expired orange juice, which caused some of the girls and kids to get sick. When they complained, they were told to throw it away because it was too expired. One of my little ones will only eat peanut butter and jelly sandwiches because it's the only thing she knows won't make her sick.

As for clothing, I have noticed that the women who work there take all the new clothing donated because my two grandchildren are wearing very used clothing to the point where I need to buy them new clothes. When I asked if I could bring them clothes, I was told that I'm not allowed because it's against the rules to bring things in without putting in a requisition. If you don't get permission, you get extra duty hours. Miss Deanna, who runs the facility, can be very strict and will threaten to have you exited if you don't follow the rules.

It's disappointing to see that they claim to be helping the homeless when the women working there scare these poor ladies and threaten to kick them out or give them extra duties. It's also concerning that they drug and alcohol test people who don't have those problems. I can understand if you're in there from prison and are required to do it, but a mom who doesn't leave there unless the kids are sick shouldn't have to go through that. Miss Deanna also won't let prescriptions be filled at a CVS down the street, they have to be filled at Shields and West which is nowhere close to RTC. I wonder if it's because she went in there during her time for drugs and now isn't allowed in those stores.

I hate to see my family there, but they were promised so many things like a driver's license and a home to live in. However, I have noticed that when the women are just a week or days from graduating, they are thrown out for stupid reasons. It's heartbreaking to see the sad children who are afraid that the ladies will throw them on the streets and then call CPS on the moms who are trying to make it.

Overall, I would not recommend donating to Save The Children's Rescue The Children facility. They feed people old expired food, give them old rags to wear, and scare the homeless women who are just trying to get back on their feet. It's a shame that a place that claims to help people in need is actually doing more harm than good.
