Lodged a claim with SA Home Loans Insurance on the 09/11/2024 and nothing has been done to this date.They keep on redoing assessments previously done months back.No progress at all while my family is homeless for months.

It is of great disappointment to receive the below email from SA home loan Insurance. Requesting to send out a service provider to redo the property measurements and quantifying the damage months after having initial done the same exercise. Its almost 3 months now your team having been busy with damaged house measurements, quantifying the damage and countless people being sent out for qoutations. Now that you are redoing all this work I find it extremely unprofessional and of great incompetence. Worse coming from a big corporate organisation SA homeloans / SAHL Insurance Company Limited!

In this case you are left to wonder and question SAHL Insurance’s professionalism, competence of its appointed service providers and above all its willingness to fulfil its liability and meet its obligation. In taking the home insurance from your organisation our hope was that in a case of, or against life’s unexpected and unfortunate events SAHL Insurance will speedily help with rebuilding our home back to the state it was. Not this prolonged process with endless revisions of work done months before. You will think SAHL Insurance understands that one’s home is not just a building but an extension of you.

As a family we don’t find pleasure with receiving monthly rental allowance or staying at a rented house. All we need its your organisation honouring its obligation and rebuilding the house within the shortest possible period. not what is happening right now. Everything seems to be done at a pedestrian pace not taking into consideration the daily stress your clients family is living under each day we are homeless. Anywhere the prolonging of your processes and continuous revisions of work previously done it’s a waste of money being paid monthly for alternative rental instead of that going into rebuilding the home. Surely the progress of this matter is such a great disappointment. I don’t expect this coming from SA Home after all these years of us receiving good service from your organisation.

Your organisations conduct is totally unacceptable, greatly disappointing and slowly becoming the worst client service experience ever!

Desired outcome: All we need its your organisation SA Home loans Insurance honoring its obligation and rebuilding the house within the shortest possible period as per the terms of their Insurance policy.
