Hawthorne Kitchen Design Unfinished Project

I have a complaint against Hawthorne Kitchen Design.

They start work, promise results and do not finish the job.

They give deadlines that they cannot meet and then do not communicate the delays and are hard to reach.

They do not provide receipts for money paid.

They lie, change their story and make up things just to keep you hanging.

They started my kitchen, promised the work would be some in a certain time frame and never completed the job. They started late, never phone to say they were not coming, would show up whenever they felt like it, and weeks went on and on and on while they were "waiting for materials".

They ordered the wrong products, their samples do not look like the actual items, they promise they can do anything in any size, colour, etc.. and then once you sign the contract and give a deposit... the story changes.

I was very disappointed in Hawthorne Kitchen Design and especially in the owner Trevor Augustyn. He will suggest talking to him but when you do, you get nowhere and just waste a lot of precious time.

Hawthorne Kitchens has basically taken 75% of the money and delivered 20% of the job. How may I reach you?

Trevor has no respect for customers, suppliers or landlords.He is moving from place to place
not paying rent or suppliers and using other people money with out service.
What a way to make living.Only in America.
Good luck Trevor it is a gamble so far with others people money, for how long ?

sad but true.

trevor is in over his head.

trevor left our kitchen un-completed too and it has been months. his workers are actualy very good and we talked to them and they said he makes too many promises...they seemed to not be pleased with him either.

you can call them all you want, if you get them they will just make another appointment and not show up.

i dont think trevor is a bad person and i think his intensions are good i just think he does not have the skills to run a business and how to budget time and money. it is actually sad to watch a great business go down hill so fast.

if you must deal with them (trevor) give them no more then 10% down...and hold 50% until the job is 100% complete...if he does not like that move on to another company as there are a ton out there with no internet complaints.

also i drove by his store last week when i was on that side of town and noticed all the kitchen demos are being sold off? not sure if he is just replacing them or might he be closing down?

i wish trevor all the best...i really do; but i do caution anyone to do your reseach prior to signing anything with trevor. Make sure you hold most of the $$$ back...once he gets the $$$ you start to get the excuses and delays.

I too was a customer and paid 75% of the money only to have one delay after another with no communication for days at a time

-- and Yes, Hawthorne has existed for over 30 years but Trevor's Hawthorne has only existed for 2 years. The name is the same but none of the people are so it's basically a whole new company.

The workers who came to my house (and there were several different workers) said that many jobs were unfinished and people were complaining but they kept taking new orders and tried to do several jobs at once and frustrated everyone in the process.

The quality of workmanship is poor, the communication is poor, and the lies are huge!

My kitchen was never completed. I had to get someone else to finish the job at my expense.

I will post my own separate complaint so people know how many there really are!

I s this guy serious?

How many unfinished kitchen reno's does this guy have, that he doesnt even know who the complaints are coming from?
I have done research on Hawthorne and they have been around for 36 yrs, but Trevor has only just taken over the company in the last few yrs.

Just another one of his many lies.

Hawthorne Kitchens Complaint
We have the same complaint. We have paid Hawthorne 72% of the contracted price and have had a total of one full day's work done in our kitchen during the last month. Despite repeated phone calls and e-mails - to Trevor!, we have received no response. I want a refund or a completed kitchen - now!

Hawthorne to has taken my money and completed only 50% of reno. The kitchen is now weeks behind and i have not been able to reach anyone from hawthorne to find out when my kitchen may be completed.

New customers BEWARE!
