This guy Mark who runs Rays diesel totally scammed me! He straight up lied to me so many times about fixing my truck and stuff. I coughed up a whopping $5800 and more, but my truck is still a hot mess. He ain't cooperating with me and won't even show me receipts for the parts he supposedly used to fix things. And to top it off, he made things even worse by breaking some brackets and leaving loose connections. I had to take my truck back to the shop twice and the original problem still ain't fixed.

I took my vehicle to get repaired, and the guy fixed the repair that was needed. He charged me $3,872.36. However, as soon as I left his shop, another problem occurred. I immediately took the vehicle back to him and told him that there were still some issues that needed to be repaired. He looked at the vehicle and said it was a separate issue. He mentioned that it would cost more money, possibly an additional $1,600 to $2,000, to fix the vehicle. I believe this issue could have been noticed while he was fixing the first repair and should have been fixed before giving the vehicle back to me. The vehicle also sat at his shop for quite some time because I didn't have the funds to pay the bill all at once. He didn't allow me to take my vehicle until the bill was paid in full. Now, the vehicle is not running, and I am experiencing the same issues as before I took it to the mechanic.

In November , I brought my bobcat skidsteer to Ray's Diesel & Automotive Repair LLC for repairs. It was difficult to start and had an oil leak. Mr. informed me that it needed a hpfp and a gasket to fix the issues. I gave him permission to proceed with the work. Around November 17, he texted me to let me know that it was ready for pickup and the total bill amounted to $2,431.39.

On December 9, Mr. called me again and said that it needed a new battery. I agreed to have the battery replaced. A week later, he informed me that it also required a new alternator, and I authorized the installation of that as well. Including the cost of these two parts, along with labor and tax, the bill should have come to $2,720.00. However, without my authorization, Mr. added a block heater, which added an additional $240.00 to the bill. I expressed my disagreement, stating that I did not authorize the block heater, but he insisted that it was necessary.

I requested the parts that were replaced for core charges, which should have been credited on the invoice, totaling $662.00. However, this amount was not reflected in the final bill. When I went to pick up the equipment, the bill had unexpectedly increased from $2,720.00 to $3,808.90. Mr. had overcharged for the antifreeze and the battery.

Unfortunately, my equipment is still not fixed. We returned it to Mr. shop, but he refused to come out and inspect it. It now refuses to start altogether and the oil leak has worsened since we initially brought it in for repairs. The bobcat has been sitting at my shop, as I had to wait for the 30-day warranty period to expire, since Mr. would not honor his warranty and fix the issues. I am not the only person who has experienced this kind of treatment from him. I have all the necessary paperwork to support my claims, and I also have documentation from other customers who have encountered similar problems.

On 5/24/2022, I took my 2010 *** Prius to Ray's Diesel & Automotive Repair LLC because the check engine light was on and there was a knocking noise when starting up. They did a diagnostic inspection and said there was a misfire in the #2 cylinder. They suggested replacing the spark plugs and coil boots, which we agreed to. It cost us a total of $472.17.

Then, on 8/02/2022, we had the same issue with the #2 cylinder misfire and start-up noise, so we took the Prius back to Ray's Diesel. They did another diagnostic inspection and recommended replacing the EGR Cooler and Intake Manifold. We approved the repairs, and it cost us a total of $2,356.54. However, we didn't get the car back until 8/25/2022.

But on the morning of 8/29/2022, the check engine light came on again, and the same noise was there when starting up. I called Ray's Diesel and left a message, but they didn't call me back. So, we made an appointment at another shop, ***, and dropped off the Prius on 8/31/2022.

After their diagnostic inspection, *** confirmed the #2 cylinder misfire. They did an overnight compression test and found that coolant was leaking into the cylinder, causing the misfire. They recommended replacing the head gasket, which would cost $6234.91. They also suggested a used engine swap, which would cost $8500.00. However, due to the age and value of the car, we decided not to proceed with the repairs at this time.

On 9/1/2022, I called Ray's Diesel one more time to inform them about the diagnosis from *** and to express my dissatisfaction with the work they had done. I mentioned that we had paid a total of $2,828.71, but the problem was not fixed because their recommendations were incorrect. I asked if they would consider reimbursing us for any of the money we spent on the repairs. ***, the person I spoke to, said they wouldn't do anything and stood by their diagnosis.
