I ordered a 2 piece lounge suit on 31/1/14 from Mr Ross Quigley (owner of Proud Furntiure) and left a deposit of $2500. This was delivered 10weeks later, after the $2400 balance was paid over the phone by credit card. The lounge that was delivered was dirty, incorrect style, poor quality workmanship and poor quality material with 'slubs' that did not appear on the floor stock lounge that we viewed. After 2 weeks of emailing photos, unhappy conversations with a female empoyee, a visit to my home from that same employee and an inconvenient visit from a delivery guy, the lounge was picked up. It then took another 5 weeks for the lounge to be recovered in quality Warwick Fabric, that did not have 'slubs'. My upset was that at no stage was I offered a refund, was I offered part payment back until the lounge was fixed, or did anyone admit fault. There was obvious fault to admit from someone, because the lounge I now have, 4 months later is exactly what I ordered. My questions is "why is it so hard for people to do their jobs?" AND "Why do I have to be without $2400 in my account when the merchant has delivered NOTHING?"
