Arthur B, the technician, was outstanding. He arrived ahead of schedule and immediately scoped the issue, prepped his materials, and expertly replaced the broken spring, installing a pair of new springs, assuring the proper functioning of the door, and quickly cleaning up the area. In less than an hour, our garage door was fixed. I was very impressed with Authur's professionalism and very courteous customer service.

Connor S came to our house on time. He's very professional and courteous. He was able to diagnose the problem in a minute. He replaced the gear assembly, lubricated the tracks and tested the system in a very short time period. I'm very impressed by his work and efficiency. I will contact Overhead Door in the future for any issues related to my garage door. I highly recommend their service to other people in the area.

I was having a problem with my garage door not opening correctly. I had called a couple of other places and wanted information on pricing etc. and never got a callback. I called overhead, they immediately told me what the cost would be. The technician, Sam, came out the same day, resolved the issue and it works fine now. Sam was extremely personable and knowledgeable about what he was doing, communicated everything to me, and left me very satisfied with his work. Thank you.

Your technician (Bill Vickers) was very experienced and knowledgeable with your products. He diagnosed the problem with my old door lifting device immediately. He discussed repair versus replacement options with me. He was an excellent technician, and one that I would gladly recommend to others. He finished the replacement in about 2 hours, demonstrated the new equipment for me and cleaned up after all his work. What a good guy and great experience. I will call Overhead Door again for any future problems.

Outstanding. Tim S. quickly diagnosed our problem as a broken torsion spring. He gave us a verbal estimate which we agreed to, He made the necessary repair, providing a new spring, checked the operation of the door both manually and with the power switch. He also offered advice on periodic maintenance I could do, i.e., spraying the hinges and torsion spring w/a heavy duty silicone lubricant. All in all, we were very happy with Tim's professionalism. I highly recommend this vendor for any garage door needs.

It took a very long time to get my door installed due to COVID and supply chain issues. But, my entire experience during the wait and today's installation was excellent. I was kept informed on the status of my order and was scheduled promptly when all materials were available. The installation crew, Akeen and Jay, was punctual, professional, and courteous. They did great work and even gave me a walk-around lesson on the care and operation of my door, the opener, and the electronics. I was very pleased with the entire process.

Connor and Darren arrived early/ontime and did a fabulous job of repairing our ear-piercingly loud garage door that was installed new in 1997 by the builder. Connor discussed what they could do and gave us all options and then went to work replacing springs, the motor and keypad and switch which were damaged. Our garage door is so quiet now and like new. We are thrilled with the job they did and will recommend your company to everyone that we can. We also now have new remotes. Well done gentlemen! We highly recommend this company.

The cable on our garage door had frayed after 10 years and popped off the pulley system on a Saturday night (of course). We had heard Chris P ads on the radio, so the first thing we thought was "garagedoorrepair.com". We got a call back immediately and they made an appointment for Sunday. Terrance called 30 minutes before arriving and also inspected the other garage door while he was here. He was friendly, polite, professional, and extremely knowledgeable. My service technician was Connor, and he helped replace the broken spring on my very heavy garage door. He was very prompt and polite; I was particularly impressed by his dedication. He ended up not having the right part for our door on his truck, and ended up waiting at our house literally all day so that a colleague could deliver the correct spring and he could finish the project same-day. Thank you Connor and Overhead Door for reminding me that companies and people with a service mindset and pride in their work do still exist. I was very pleased with my experience.

Overhead Door Co originally installed our doors 15 years ago and all has been good. The other night a horrific bang in the garage gave us a scare. Turns out the torsion spring broke. Yes, we've neglected to perform any maintenance over the years. A call to the company the next morning allowed me to schedule an appointment at my convenience. Bill, our tech, arrived as promised, made quick work of the fix and instructed me on simple steps I could take to help avoid future failures. Absolutely no complaints. Hopefully I won't need to call in the future, but I won't hesitate if need be. Highly recommend them.

Great experience with OH Door Co! Spring broke on steel 2-car garage door; I called the last vendor and they told me they were out of materials to do repairs. Found OHD in Best Picks, called them at 4pm and Jay was out the next morning to replace it. He had the direct replacement springs in his truck, but asked if I wanted to upgrade for 2X lifetime (26K cycles) since the last ones failed in about 5 yrs. Local warehouse had them to the house in about 30 mins while he serviced the door and got ready for the installation. Cost $100 more than I paid five years ago for the standard springs. Very professional and great service.

When I called to request service, the two people I spoke to were very courteous and professional. Service was offered the next day (I called late afternoon). I KNEW I had called the right garage door company! The technician, Bill Vincent, Was prompt. He called half an hour before arriving and arrived shortly after 8:00a. This man was also very professional - said he was 38 years with Overhead Door, and I think I had the best man in the industry working on my garage. He took one good look at the door and began work immediately. Once the work was completed, he gave me an in-service training on the maintenance of the door. This was the best experience with a hired contractor - ever! These are the people you want to call.

Review for Garage Door repair from www.OverheadDoors.com. My garage door suddenly jumped off the tracks during a routine closing and was dangling precipitously from the ceiling. I was terrified and called for emergency service. Tim S arrived promptly during the time frame given to me. He confirmed the situation was dangerous and he'd need a few minutes to access the best course of action for repair and safety. He figured it out quickly and starting working on the repair. Tim was steady and calm while I was very nervous for his safety working beneath an unstable heavy door “hanging by a thread." Tim completed the repair quickly and life returned to normal. Great company. Great value for professional service. And a great technician who clearly is an expert at what he does!

Friday 10 AM: garage door went up only halfway then stalled. Electric motor making a scary new noise. Stopped trying to open door. Called Overhead Door Company immediately. Fortunately, they were able to send a technician who would arrive between 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM. Jay arrived about 2:10 PM. He was all business. As soon as he walked into the garage from the hallway, he looked at the garage door across the dimly lit space and told us, "You have a broken spring." Jay edged past the parked car, peered up at the spring, and said, in effect, that yes it was definitely broken and he apprised us of the total amount for his inspection of the problem and the replacement and adjustment of a new spring. The price seemed reasonable. We have had good experiences with Overhead Door in the past and we were confident the technician would know what he was doing. By the bye, the now-broken spring had been installed in 1973. Jay was terrific. No wasted motion. He was totally focused. Watching him work was a treat. We learned as we watched him that replacing a broken spring is no easy task. It combines hard physical work in a cramped space and attention to measurements and close tolerances. In the process of doing everything necessary to complete the repair, Jay must have been up and down his step ladder 30 to 50 times--on the left side, on the right side, in the center, then working on the "Phantom" electric door lift motor. Once the old spring was out and the new spring was installed, he was expert at calibrating the exact "touch down" of the door on the garage floor in the closing sequence. We have total confidence in the Overhead Door shop that supports Alexandria, VA.

My two garage doors were in serious need of maintenance work, as they were both very loud and squeaky; one of the doors needed the springs replaced; the other door needed a new garage door opener/operator; and both needed new weather stripping. I called Overhead Door Company of Washington DC after seeing them working on the doors at Walter Reed Medical. I was very apprehensive at first because of my past experiences hiring someone/company to work on my home projects. Quick lesson I learned a long time ago is to NOT TRUST THE REVIEWS ON GOOGLE OR YELP. After reading the very POSTIVE reviews on ComplaintsBoard.com, I called them up to make an appointment. From the moment the service representative, Nicole, answered the phone, I knew right away that I could trust them. Nicole was very polite, patient, very helpful, and was able to get someone to come out to my house right away. Mr. Bill V., the technician, called my phone before arriving to confirm the appointment and he arrived right on time. Like Nicole, he was very polite, courteous, and treated me with respect...unlike some company reps who do not have manners or the know the concept of "good customer service". Mr. Bill V. went over the job/work order to ensure that my needs were met. He was very thorough and very knowledgeable. He went above and beyond by taking care of things that were not on my list of things to do, such as re-wiring one of the sensors that was always getting knocked out of alignment when someone or something bumped into it; adding wall reinforcement to one of the garage door bars; moving items that were in his way (without bothering me about it) and placing them right back where he found them (I could not even tell that they had been moved); replacing the burned out light bulbs in the garage; programming the remotes for both doors; giving me useful tips for maintenance; and leaving the garage spick and span. The job done on both garage doors are nothing short of OUTSTANDING! Because of how quiet the doors are now, I have to physically watch the door close when I push one of the buttons just to be sure that it is closed. I am VERY SATISFIED with the company and work that they've done. I will definitely, without any doubt or hesitation, recommend this company to anyone I know.
