Worst Customer Service on the Planet
Austin at Northmen Collectibles will take your money for preorders, wait out your paypal/credit card dispute timeframe, then try to get you to take his store credit or charge you a 'restocking fee' for product he promised, but never delivered on. And you'll have the pleasure of being spoken to with the kind of vitriol that can only come from a man with severe mental issues. Stay away.
Scam buyer beware. Less than 0 stars!
Still waiting for an order placed November 2023. All I've received so far are nasty condescending emails from the "seller". Also took money from me for expedited delivery so not only scamming buyers but also Canada Post. I'm part of a group of over 200 people still waiting for an order, some going back much longer than a year. Any positive reviews are full out lies.
Recommendation: Avoid this seller at all cost!

Buyer Beware: My Experience with NMC Toys
If you're thinking about giving NMC Toys a try, I highly recommend doing some research first. Just by searching for Northmen collectibles reviews online, you'll come across countless stories of folks being harassed, disrespected, and taken advantage of. It's no secret that this company has a reputation for being less than reputable.
One thing that really stands out about NMC Toys is that the owner seems to pay people to write positive reviews in order to counteract the honest ones. It's a sneaky move that makes it difficult to know who to trust.
When I first ordered from NMC, things seemed great. The owner was polite and professional, and everything went smoothly. But when an issue did arise, things quickly took a turn for the worse.
Out of the blue, the owner's demeanor changed drastically. It was like dealing with an immature, spiteful teenager who lacked any social skills. Getting my money back was a challenge, and I don't think I would have ever received a refund if it weren't for the help of PayPal.
In the end, I would say that shopping with NMC Toys is a risky venture. If you do decide to take your chances, just be prepared for the possibility of a negative experience.
Warning: Stay Away from NMC Toys - A Disappointing Experience
Let me tell ya, NMC Toys, or Northman Collectibles, or whatever the heck they call themselves, is a real disappointment. I dunno what kinda operation they're runnin' over there, but it ain't a good one. I was dumb enough to give 'em nearly a grand for a pre-order back in 2020, and the darn thing never even showed up! And tryin' to get ahold of this Austin guy who runs the place? Forget about it. He just ignores ya, insults ya, and pretends like ya never even existed.
It took me years of dealin' with this schmuck before I finally got store credit as a last resort. But even that was a joke. I picked out a bunch of in-stock items, and he still hasn't sent 'em to me over six months later. Oh, and if ya try to get in touch with him on social media or through email, he'll just block ya. Real professional.
I gotta warn ya, once this guy's got your money, you're screwed. The Better Business Bureau, the Office of Consumer Protection, the Tenpenny Suits...none of 'em can help ya. The only way to get any justice is to take him to court, and trust me, that'll end up costin' ya more than ya lost in the first place. But this Austin fella knows that, and he'll just laugh in yer face about it.
So bottom line, don't waste yer time or yer money on NMC Toys. Save yerself the headache and find a more reputable dealer.
Nightmarish Experience: Poor Customer Service, Undelivered Order, Refusal of Refund & Crappy Store Credits
This company is an absolute nightmare, let me tell you. I had a terrible experience with their customer service - it was like talking to a brick wall. They were sooo defensive and combative, and even became downright abusive at times. I mean, I get it - everyone has bad days - but this was just too much.
And to make matters worse, I never even received what I ordered! Can you believe it? Even after 2.5 years of constant lies and excuses, they still couldn't fulfill my order. And when I asked for a refund, they flat out refused. I was stuck dealing with them, whether I wanted to or not.
I finally gave in and took store credit, but even that was a nightmare. Their in stock items were terrible - just crappy leftovers they couldn't sell to anyone else. It was like they didn't care about me as a customer at all.
Honestly, I think the owner needs a mental health assessment. He was a total psycho - and I'm not just saying that. I was patient and nice the entire time, but it didn't matter. They just kept stringing me along, and I ended up with nothing to show for it.
So let me be clear: Do Not believe anything this company says. They are incredibly dishonest and absolutely the worst. Your fellow collectors can back me up on this one. And don't let them tell you that you can't go to the Better Business Bureau - they can't be trusted.
Horrible Service: Avoid Shopping Here at All Costs
Terrible service! Like, seriously. Don't even bother wasting your time here. The guy Austin is super stuck-up and will just yell at you and give you a million excuses like "I'm a small business!" or "Did you even read the instructions?" It's never his fault, always gotta blame the customer. One time I commented on something he posted on Facebook and he banned me from his page! What a joke. And he never even bothered replying to me when I emailed his "departments," whatever that means. But when I opened a dispute on PayPal, he suddenly became the world's fastest email responder! And who knows how many other people he's ripped off that haven't even gotten their money back yet. I feel bad for them. Seriously, just don't even bother shopping here. You'll regret it.
A Warning About NMC Toys: Pre-Order Nightmares and Unprofessional Customer Service
I gotta tell you something. This shop called NMC Toys, ya know what I'm talkin' bout? It ain't good. I mean, if you put in a pre-order there, don't expect to actually get what you paid for. Trust me, I ain't the only one who's had this kinda problem. Lotsa other folks who wrote reviews have said the same thing. And lemme tell ya, the wait time can be loooooong. Like, way longer than ya expect. I dunno about you, but I ain't waitin' over a year for somethin' I was supposed to get in 2020. Heck, pretty soon it'll be 2022 and I still don't got my order.
So here's the deal. First, the boss guy, Austin Da Silveira, charges ya card upfront. Then, if ya try to cancel or refund your order for any reason, he'll charge ya anyway. But that ain't even the worst part. This guy seems to enjoy puttin' people down. Like, he'll attack ya and call ya all kinds of names. And he don't care if it's public or not.
Look, I'm just sayin' what I know. This ain't nothin' personal, but if you're a collector like me, I gotta warn ya. Stay away from NMC Toys. It's just not worth the trouble.
NMCToys.ca Review: Top-Notch Service & Prices, Even in the Far North-Yukon Exceptional Experience
I gotta tell ya, I been checkin' out NMCToys.ca for a minute now and, to be honest, I seen some mixed reviews on there. But let me tell ya, based on my experience, these guys are top notch. They're based out in Eastern Canada, and I live way up in the Yukon, so it ain't always the easiest to get stuff shipped to me. But let me tell ya, when I had to cancel an item from one of my orders, they gave me in-store credit lickety-split, no questions asked. And when I had to ship an item back, it was way less of a hassle than getting a refund from ol' Amazon.ca.
Just the other day, I had to tell 'em to hold off on my order cuz I was goin' through some rough finances. And you know what? They didn't harass me about it or anything, they just set my order aside and told me to holler back when things got better. And to top it all off, their prices are way better than mosta the Canadian stores I've checked out online. So yeah, I'm pretty freakin' satisfied with these guys.
I mean, I know some folks might read bad stuff about NMCToys.ca and wonder if they're worth the risk. But c'mon, people, sometimes ya just gotta give 'em a shot. Ya never know what kinda story the complainin' folks ain't tellin' ya. If they didn't get their way, how was they treatin' the business, ya know?
Anyway, I'm a happy Yukoner and I'll definitely keep orderin' from these guys. Way I see it, if they can impress someone clear up here in the far north, they gotta be doin' somethin' right.
Beware of Owner: Terrible Customer Service at NMC Toys/Northman Collectibles
Ok, so I gotta drop a line about NMC Toys/Northman Collectibles. This ain't gonna be about the toys, nah. It's about the owner and how they run things. Let me tell you, this fella has got some serious issues with customer service. It's like they don't even know the meaning of the words!
I mean, this dude will straight up berate you if you make any kind of mistake. They don't care if you're right or not, they just wanna prove that the customer is wrong. "Let me be perfectly clear," they say, and then proceed to talk down to you like you're a child. It's unreal.
And if you dare to file a claim with your bank or PayPal, watch out! This guy will do everything in their power to make you feel guilty and responsible for any fees that their business might incur. And forget about ever shopping with them again - if you try to make things right, they'll just ban you from the site.
The worst part is, this dude has no filter when it comes to responding to negative reviews. They just air all the dirty laundry, no matter how petty or unnecessary. It's like watching a train wreck in slow motion.
Now, I ain't saying don't shop with NMC Toys/Northman Collectibles. If everything goes smoothly, you'll get your stuff and have a normal shopping experience. But if there's even a hint of an issue - watch out. It's worth spending some extra cash to avoid dealing with this toxic, salty, and mean-spirited individual.
Warning: Avoid NMCToys.ca - Shady Business and Terrible Customer Service
NMCToys.ca is a notable business located in Toronto, Ontario that specializes in toys and collectibles. If you're planning to shop with them, be prepared for a challenging process. This business appears quite shady, as there is no physical store where you can shop. Plus, when you need support and try to reach them, there's no phone number available for you to call. The email responses you get in return are automated and they take their time responding, even up to months before getting back to you. It's such a frustrating process, and if by chance you get a response, the owner of the business might insult you and then argue with you over basic refunds.
The company's tactic is to wait until your credit protection has run out, then grind you down until you're forced to accept store credit for low-grade, unwanted merchandise. It's a tedious and time-consuming process that leaves you frustrated and feeling cheated. Moreover, if you actually place an order, it's highly likely that you'll never receive whatever it is you bought. The owner of the business is passive-aggressive, rude, and downright insulting. It's such a bad experience that you'd be better advised to shop elsewhere. There are alternative options to choose from, and I encourage you to consider them.
I ordered multiple products from them starting in 2020, but none have been delivered yet. Strangely, the items I ordered are available to purchase elsewhere, and some have even been restocked in Canadian stores. In order to prevent you from encountering a similar problem, I suggest you visit the NMC Toy Survivors page, accessible via this website - https://www.facebook.com/groups/***/
For me, it was the first time I had ever experienced such incompetence, arrogance, or spineless behavior from a business owner, despite being a collector for over 20 years. If you have experienced similar problems as I did, I suggest you join that Facebook group and share your story. It is an excellent platform for fellow customers to come together and share their experiences with NMC Toys.
If you have been wronged by the business owner, I encourage you to contact your provincial Consumer Protection Agency or the Toronto Police Department. If you feel even more aggrieved, take the owner to small claims court - it's inexpensive and usually successful once you understand how to represent yourself. The satisfaction you'll feel from winning your case and seeing justice served, as well as seeing the business owner go out of business will be worth it!
Horrible Experience with NMC Toys: No Communication, No Refunds
I gotta say, my experience with NMC Toys has been pretty horrible. I've been trying to get my hands on some Toony Terrors for the past two years and I thought this site was my chance. Unfortunately, things went downhill pretty quickly.
I pre-ordered a bunch of sets and waited patiently like a good customer. But then I checked back on the site and saw that one of the sets I ordered was cancelled. Nobody bothered to tell me, I had to find out myself. I reached out to the store to ask for a refund and they basically told me tough luck. They said I had to take what had already arrived and I couldn't get a refund for the unfulfilled part of my order. That's ridiculous! It's not my fault they didn't communicate properly.
After going back and forth with this guy for a while, I decided to just pick something else - a Lion-O from Super 7. But now I've been waiting for ages and I had to contact Super 7 directly just to see if the toy had actually been released. Surprise, surprise - it had! Nobody told me about it, I had to find out myself again. And when I finally asked for my money back, the guy at NMC Toys freaked out on me. He started ranting about how hard his life and job are and acting like I'm the one causing problems.
Honestly, I just want my money back and to never have to deal with this company again. If you're going to buy something from them, definitely don't do pre-orders. They're terrible at communicating and they won't refund you if they screw up. Just buy directly from the source and save yourself the headache.
Oh, and now I keep getting automatic email responses when I try to contact them. It's getting really frustrating. I just want my money back!
Avoid the Hassle: NMC Toys is the Worst Place to Shop at in Canada
I gotta be honest, NMC Toys is the worst place to shop at in Canada. I mean, if you haven't had any issues with your order, then consider yourself lucky, but for those of us who have, we can attest to the fact that this store's support system (if you can even call it that) sucks.
I sent them an email about my order, which has been delayed for months, and the response I got from the owner, Austin Da Silveira, was just plain rude. Dude was acting all condescending and aggressive, and didn't even try to be professional. Like, does he not know how to treat his customers right? Cause honestly, it doesn't seem like it.
You know that episode of Kitchen Nightmares where the owners of Amy's Baking Company were just a lost cause? Well, Austin is like that. Dude plays the victim card whenever anyone tries to say something bad about his store, and he doesn't give a crap about customers who have been waiting for their orders for months. He even calls them haters and Karens on his Facebook page. Like, seriously? How unprofessional can you get?
And to top it all off, the owner is such a narcissist that he probably wouldn't even fulfill my order if I used my real name. I mean, I've been waiting for so long, I've pretty much given up hope that I'll ever receive anything I paid for.
So, if you're thinking of shopping at NMC Toys, don't. Just don't. And if you've already had a good experience, count yourself lucky and don't risk getting treated like crap like the rest of us. And don't even get me started on the store's logo...it's like a rip-off of RUN DMC or something.
Oh, and by the way, the reason why there are so many positive reviews for this terrible store is because the owner paid people for them. Yeah, you heard me right. He paid people to leave good reviews. It's a total scam.
So, long story short, avoid NMC Toys like the plague. It's just not worth the hassle.
NMC Toys / Northman Collectibles Complaints 11
Abysimal experience with pre-orders
I strongly suggest that you don't buy from this store, especially if you are looking at preordering items. Don't take my word for it, go to the store Facebook page: under each post there are comments of people asking where their order is, or why they don't get answers for weeks/months when contacting support. While on Facebook, search for "NMC Toys Survivors" for more...entertaining...recounts from people who bought from this store.
The store is just one guy but apparently must have multiple personalities. If you email one the store addresses, he may ignore the message and tell you that you should have used another address instead (I guess he doesn't know how to create forwarding rules...).
Luckily I was able to recover all my money after he didn't deliver any order I made. That's probably because I didn't fall for his tactics of dragging communications and did a chargeback via CC before my window closed (and guess who emailed right away after that...). He kept saying the distributor didn't deliver... but the same items were readily available for weeks even on Amazon. Visa refunded also his idiotic restocking fee (for what, since he never had stock to begin with?).
If you have preorders, I suggest you just go the chargeback route and don't waste time trying to cancel via the store support email, unless you are just at the beginning of your cancellation window. Be ready for some...colourful...messages, but just stay calm and respectful if/when replying. It definitely helps when making your case with your CC company. Btw, your cancellation window starts from the promised delivery date, not from when you made the order (mention that if they push back).
Also, if you are in Ontario and your purchase is over $50, you are protected by the Consumer Protection Act. Check under "Late Delivery" and you'll find that "26 (1) A consumer may cancel a future performance agreement at any time before delivery under the agreement...if the supplier, (a) does not make delivery within 30 days after the delivery date specified in the agreement or an amended delivery date agreed to by the consumer in writing".
Desired outcome: The ideal outcome was for the owner to acknowledge his shortcomings and ensure a smooth refund process. I received my refund only due to VISA's professionalism. I no longer hold expectations from NMC.
Terrible Customer Service and Unfulfilled Preorders at NMC Toys - Avoid!
So, lemme tell ya'll about this place called NMC Toys or Northman Collectibles. I gotta say, their customer service sucks. Like, seriously. I preordered something from them way back like a year and a half ago, and every other store has had it in stock for at least 6 months now. But, these guys just won't reply to any of my emails. Not one! I've sent them dozens and dozens of messages, and still, no response. And guess what? I still ain't got my product, and I ain't got my money either. So anyways, DO NOT shop here, y'all. It's a mess.
No Response or Shipping Update - Feeling Scammed by [Company Name]
So, I've been trying to get my item shipped for a while now. I sent a few emails but I never got a response, not from the sales or support team. I even checked their Facebook page but couldn't find any helpful information there either. I'm starting to think that I have been scammed, but the owner always says his store is legit. However, I feel like I am being scammed at the moment. It's been a frustrating experience, and I am considering trying reverse charges with my bank.

NMC Toys / Northman Collectibles: Poor Customer Service and Fulfillment Process
So, I decided to try out NMC Toys / Northman Collectibles for a recent purchase. I checked their site before placing my order to make sure all the items I wanted were IN-STOCK. However, after waiting for a month, I still haven't received my purchase. It's pretty disappointing, to be honest. I tried to reach out to the seller through their email, but I haven't heard anything back. I really don't like the lack of communication from the seller's end.
I'm getting pretty frustrated at this point and after not receiving a response, I have to resort to requesting a chargeback from my credit card company. It's a bummer since I was really excited about my purchase. But as they say, "buyer beware." I have to say, I would not recommend buying anything from this website. The experience was not great and it seems I am not the only one who has gone through this. Overall, I hope they can improve their customer service and fulfillment process because everyone wants to have a good experience when shopping online.
Terrible Customer Service: NMC Toys' Failures
This company, NMC Toys or Northman Collectibles, has been the source of great frustration for me. I placed a pre-order with them, hoping that I would be able to bring some much-needed joy to some sick children through my charity. But unfortunately, this company never updated me on the status of my order. I reached out to them numerous times, but never received a response.
In the end, I had to purchase the toys from another company, which was a huge inconvenience. And just recently, they have emerged from the shadows to try and pretend like nothing happened. It's extremely frustrating when businesses don't take accountability for their mistakes.
I truly hope that NMC Toys will be held responsible for their actions soon. It's not acceptable to take money and orders from people, only to disappear without any communication. I feel like I've been robbed and disrespected by this company. They need to learn a lesson and start treating their customers with respect and professionalism.
Beware of NMC Toys: Sketchy Business, Unreliable Shipping, No Refunds
Yo, so I gotta get this off my chest: NMC Toys is some sketchy business, man. I ordered some stuff from them like way back in the day. It's been like over two years now and I still ain't received my stuff. Like, what's going on there?
I tried to get a refund and I've been emailing them for like five months straight. They don't even have the decency to respond, you know? It's like they just took my money and ran.
I used to think they were legit, but now I know better. There ain't no way I'm giving them any more of my hard-earned cash. I wouldn't recommend anyone else doin' it either.
Save yourself the hassle and go somewhere else. Trust me, NMC Toys ain't worth it.
Unsatisfied Customer: NMC Toys a Poor Choice for Collectors
NMC Toys, also known as Northman Collectibles, is not a company worth spending your money on. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone unless you want to throw your hard-earned cash out the window. They never respond to any of your inquiries, despite it being such an easy thing to do. It seems like the owner has no idea how to run a business and instead blames the customers for any issues. Do not put yourself in my shoes and lose money like I did with over $800 in preorders that were never fulfilled.
I have tried reaching out to them several times, asking for an estimated time of arrival (ETA) on my orders, but I have received no reply. It is disappointing to see a company behave in such a manner, and it definitely feels like a scam. At this point, I am left feeling like it has all been a waste of time and money.
I hope that the owner reads this review and takes it as a wake-up call to start acting like a professional. Instead of ignoring customers, they should be responsive and communicate when things go wrong. It's frustrating to have a negative experience with a company that you had high hopes for, and I am happy to speak to the owner if they need any help turning things around.
Overall, NMC Toys has left a bitter taste in my mouth, and I don't think I'll ever be returning. If you're someone who values their money and wants to receive quality customer service, then I suggest finding an alternative company to fulfill your collectors' needs. Don't be a coward and avoid changing your ways.
NMC Toys Review: Beware of Vanishing Cash and Insults!
This here 'bizness' heya, theys be takin' ya cash and then theys disappear without a trace. Don't even try askin' 'em for an update on ya order, ya ain't gonna hear nothin' back. And if ya do, ya best be prepared for an insult or two, cuz they don't like havin' ta answer no questions. Theys puttin' all kinda rules and restrictions on ya just ta ask where ya product is.
I tells ya, I wish I never had no business with NMC Toys. Theys ruinin' the whole collecting game. Ain't nobody got time fuh that!
Mixed Experience with NMC Toys: Good and Bad, but Ultimately Disappointing
My experience with NMC Toys / Northman Collectibles (nmctoys.ca) was a mix of good and bad. The first time I ordered action figures from them, it was a pleasant experience. However, my opinion has changed since my last purchase with them a year ago. I bought two figures and unfortunately, I never received them. Despite reaching out to the seller multiple times, I only received impersonal automatic emails in response. It was disappointing, and I lost trust in this seller. I did some research and found many bad reviews about NMC Toys / Northman Collectibles within the toy collector community. I'm not sure how they continue to run their business in such a way. It's essential to be careful and avoid this seller.
Avoid NMC Toys/Northman Collectibles: Fraudulent Practices & Unreliable Stock - Don't Waste Your Time or Money
This store, NMC Toys or Northman Collectibles, is not worth your money or time. The owner has been known to take money for preorders that they never fill, and the only option for a refund is to give the owner a 20% "stealing fee" or accept store credit that is likely just the owner trying to get rid of unsellable stock. Even in-stock orders are not reliable, as they often turn out to not actually be in stock. Cancelling an order requires sending multiple emails over several months and the owner will only respond once it's too late to dispute the charge with your credit card or PayPal. Avoid this fraudulent store at all costs.
WARNING: NMCToys.ca Review - Terrible Customer Service and Scammy Operations - Steer Clear!
Yo, so I copped a few things from NMCToys.ca back in June of 2021 and, believe it or not, I STILL haven't gotten my order as of September 23, 2022. Like for real, they took my cash right outta my account and ain't give me what I paid for? What kind of mess is that?
So I hit up the dude who owns the joint, Austin Da Silveira, and all he offered me was some store credit. But like, what am I supposed to do with that if I don't actually get the stuff I ordered, you feel me? Straight up ridiculous.
Anyway, I had to go ahead and dispute the whole transaction with Paypal because this is just not okay. And trust me, I ain't gonna back down until I get my money back, you hear me? Plus, I'm letting everyone I know leave reviews and whatnot so nobody else has to deal with this janky operation.
Honestly, I can't even deal with how awful their customer service is and how shady this owner is. Like straight up thievery, no joke. So do yourself a favor and just steer clear of this whole situation.
