Good day

On the 4th of April 2023 my house burned down.

Nedbank took their sweet old time to assign a Contractor. They Gave me limited access to Security Guard during this time. After this Expired there were some looting at the house stealing the plumbing and electrical cables and lights / DB board and and...

We are now 6 Months down the line - Nedbank is still running around getting quotes to repair the electrical work. Current Building Contractors cannot finish there work as they are waiting for the Electrical to be completed.

The Claim for the looting were only logged at beginning of September and then only I was told I need a police report with ALL items looted on the report.

I got that done the same week.

Now 4 weeks later - No Work has started as of yet. Got a SMS Today 4th of October - That a NEW electrical company want to make an appointment to come and [censored]? The SMS came thru at 6.35 stating an appointment was made for 00:00-0700 on the 4th of October? and the Contact number given on the SMS is not a valid number to phone

WHAT IS THIS...

Why are they taking so long and prolonging the entire proses?

In Addition - Apparently I'm not covered for the tiling in the bathroom and kitchen where the tiles were broken to steal the plumbing? so they will do some Matching with different tiles? so in the middle of the wall there will be a block of tiles mismatching all the rest of the room?

I've escalated this higher up in Nedbank but still just getting empty promises.

With who can I take this up so that this get the necessary attention that it needs and o speed up the proses.

It was said its a 3/4 month Job to Fix everything. 6 Months down the line they are still getting Quotes

I've never missed a single bond Payment or a single insurance payment - yet this is they way I'm treated.

The Assessor is ghosting me and only reply to some, very few of my question and they CAN NOT give me a time line?

Extremely Frustrated home owner

Desired outcome: For them to commit to a date when all repairs will be done and properly repair all damage (Tiles) done to the house
