This company takes forever to process payments. They don't seem to want to pay out at all. It's better to go somewhere else and invest your money.

NEA Member Benefits Travel Club, also known as International Cruise & Excursions Gallery (Arrivia), sold me a travel club that didn't accurately represent the cost of vacations. They informed me that the maximum points required for a week-long vacation was 20,000, but in reality, it can go as high as over 100,000 points for just one week. Fortunately, we were fortunate enough to discover their deception within the 10-day cooling-off period and were able to receive a refund. However, I advise you to be cautious as it seemed too good to be true.

I got a call from NEA Member Benefits at 1-800-XXX-XXXX, and they wanted me to call them back about my account. I paid $135.00 on 6/15 to keep my account up to date. When I called the number, a lady answered and started yelling at me with bad words, then she hung up. Maybe the 800 number goes to someone's house, and they got mad and responded like that. NEA should watch their lines in real time to avoid stuff like this. If it was a NEA person, they should give them some training or fire them.

NEA MEMBER BENEFITS TRAVEL PROGRAM MEMBERSHIP SCAM! I got an email with the NEA logo, etc. It was signed, "Your NEA Travel Team.” - SUBJECT: Anniversary Bonus Enclosed - BODY OF EMAIL: “Happy Anniversary & thank you for being part of the NEA Travel family. To celebrate, we've added a complimentary gift to your account. All you need to do… Just give us a ring… To claim your exclusive Anniversary gift… Connect with a friendly Account Specialist…” This already sounded like a suspicious marketing scam to me. I'm not a gullible person. But I kept thinking, “It’s The NEA, and they would never be involved in something unscrupulous. They exist to help educators-not take advantage of them.” When I called “The NEA Travel Team,” my “gift” was a slick sales pitch to pay $99 PER MONTH for a NEA travel benefit membership. I believe that the individuals with whom I spoke were intentionally confusing and misleading. But based on the information they provided, I decided to give it a try. As soon as I hung up, I realized their membership was almost exactly the same as the NEA travel membership I already had for quite some time, for $99 PER YEAR. The program in their scam was $99 PER MONTH! The only real difference was earning bonus points to eventually redeem for a “luxury resort stay.” And additional points when (an unlimited number of) my friends and family became members! As soon as I hung up the phone, I realized I'd been manipulated/misled. I called them back. They assured me my membership would be cancelled and no charge would appear on my credit card statement. But the day AFTER I received a Cancellation Confirmation email from the NEA, they charged me $99 (for the first month membership period, beginning on the day AFTER their Cancellation Confirmation. I contacted my credit card company for support, but NEA refuses to reverse the $99 charge. It's already been almost two months, and I am not giving up! SHAME ON THEM!

I booked a hotel on NEAMB.com and went through all the details. I got the refund policy and an email from NEAMB saying they'd give me back all the money, except for a 0.5% fee if I canceled after a certain date. They owe me $357, but they won't give it back. I called three times and they said I was right and the finance department would refund me. But now, two months later, I asked my credit card company for help and NEAMB still won't give me the money. I have all the papers and it makes me really sad that this company says it helps teachers, but they clearly took advantage of me.

I stopped my paid membership of $99 with the company for 2 months in early February 2022, but they kept charging me at the end of February and March. I called and they said there was a problem in the system, which is why I got charged. Since then, I talked to 3 different agents who said they would give me a refund. Every time I follow up on the issue, they say a refund was never processed, but they will process it for me. I also told them I want to suspend my paid membership indefinitely, but they say only my account manager can do that. They left messages for him to call me, but I haven't received a call yet. They shouldn't have been able to charge my account in the first place, and they won't give me back the money they mistakenly took.

NEA Member Benefits I got NEA Member Benefits

I got NEA Member Benefits. I used the NEA Travel site to book a vacation. Nea Travel uses *** to book their reservations, supposedly. On Monday, 3/29, I used the website to use my Union discount to book a vacation resort for this summer. They took my money. On 4/1, I realized my reservation got cancelled. They said the hotel was full. I called the hotel directly and they said they weren't full and had the condo I wanted available. NEA Travel and *** hasn't reached out to me. I called them. I got hung up on by 3 different people when I called to investigate. I finally talked to some "manager" named Brandon. He told me my refund got issued. I haven't received my refund. He was super rude, told me I was an idiot and I didn't read the fine print and they couldn't guarantee the rooms they had in inventory. They haven't returned my $2300, I got no reservations for vacation. No one will help me.

NEA Vacations sold me vacation insurance so I could reschedule my resort stay, but I couldn't use it. When I got the policy, they said I could reschedule without any fees up to 30 days before my vacation. I emailed ask-*** 33 days before my stay to reschedule. I also called around that time (a few days before) and got a voicemail saying the team was in training and I had to call back later. I called another NEA Vacations number and left a voicemail asking to reschedule. Finally, I spoke to America (the supervisor is ***) and explained I needed to change my resort stay. America told me I couldn't do it because it was less than 30 days before the *** said the rules changed and I couldn't even reschedule within 60 days. *** said he would call me back within 72 hours, but I never got a call back.

NEA Member Benefits I booked a car rental from NEA Travel on 5/10

I booked a car rental from NEA Travel on 5/10. I didn't end up flying to the city where I was supposed to pick up the car. I canceled the car reservation, but it was hard to find the instructions in the fine print. I followed the correct procedures, but I didn't get a refund on my credit card. I disputed the charge, and NEA Travel sent the wrong information to my credit card company. The company closed the dispute because they were misled. I called NEA Travel multiple times, and they confirmed that my car was canceled with Budget. They said my $300+ charge would be refunded without any problems and told me to call back in 48 hours if I didn't see it. I haven't received any refund yet. I'm currently on hold with NEA Travel for the 10th time, talking to the "Customer resolutions team" who keeps giving the salespeople the wrong information. They keep saying it's my credit card company's issue, but it's not. They need to refund my money like they promised. Don't book through NEA Travel.

Membership for teachers was offered through NEA member benefits subscription began on 9/17. My agent at the time was Jesus R, who went through the member benefits with me. He also sent me sample vacations that I would be able to use my points for. I have saved 67,241 points and have $2,800 travel dollars which we want to now use to book a *** vacation in February 2023. When I called last month to book it, no one was able to help me make a reservation and they kept saying the system needed to update. They also stated that more inventory would be available in a few weeks. I called again today, and the represenative was unable to apply any of my points as promised. They also said that there were no hotels available exept for the *** Resort, which would cost nearly $17,000 and I could use $1,000 of my travel dollars. This continued and I asked to speak to management. After an hour I spoke with Lizette who was in customer service, and she said she was unable to see my account and could not help with booking. She told me to forward my email from Jesus to [protected]@***.com. However, no one was able to help me. I requested for all call transcripts be sent to me since my mebership began. The NEA has not only lied, but took advantage of teachers and their families money. I am completely devasted after spending $100 monthly on this membership. They have taken $1200 from me, and given nothing but fake discounts in return. I have researched and the same dates and prices are offered for free online. I would like a full refund or full stay using all points and travel dollars. Please help us to resolve this. I have spent and wasted hours and hours on the phone trying to work with the NEA.
