Mover on Duty helped my interstate move go as smoothly as it possibly could have. Communications were great, the movers and their services were great, and even when we couldn't find an item after we moved, I called and they knew exactly where the item had been put in my new home. Would highly recommend, and use them again in a heartbeat.

After discussions with several moving companies for a cross-country move, I decided to go with Movers on Duty and very glad I did -- they showed up on time, worked very quickly, didn't add any hidden fees, and were responsive throughout the entire process. Highly recommend these guys and appreciate how much easier they made an otherwise stressful moving process!

Courteous, hard working crew. The crew was on time and willing to comply with any request. We moved from a 4 bedroom home to a temporary home and then across country from Maryland to Illinois. There was also a portion of our belongings in a storage unit. All items were delivered as promised and right on time. We're very appreciative of the work done by the Movers on Duty crew.

I had to move my son from a 5th floor walk up in NYC to Maryland. The movers were fast and efficient. All his furniture and beds they wrapped so that it is good for storage where they moved it too. They packed the storage unit in a way that made sense so nothing falls or gets broken. I am extremely happy with my experience and will definitely use them in the future if I need such services. I highly recommend them.

Movers On Duty exceeded my expectations. Carlos adequately staffed my long-distance move with a team of professional movers. Once on-site Boston and Dalmar professionally spearheaded every detail of my move and ensured all of my requests were met. They even took care of placing items I wanted to take with me in my car. The Movers On Duty team was courteous and took great care of making sure my belongings and furniture were protected. I definitely recommend Movers On Duty and will use them for all of my future moves.

This is a very delayed review, and my apologize for that. I had to move my mother from Queens, NY to Maryland early in 2020. I called several movers and received quotes but Movers on Duty was by far the most competitive, which initially made me skeptical at the outset. Luis was understanding, attentive, and thorough from the outset. Dalmar, Boston, and the whole crew were fast and efficient, and handled the items with care. I wasn't sure they could fit everything but they filled the entire van and drove the items to her new apartment. I would use them again.

This was the most stress-free move I have ever had. My move included a Piano and I was nervous about having it moved - they were amazing! From the moment I requested a quote until the time the move was over it was handled professionally, honestly and very carefully. Before the move I was quoted a price and that included EVERYTHING and that quote did not change at all. Every item was treated with great care and concern. The movers were polite, courteous and friendly and seemed to treat my items as they would treat their own. I will always use Movers on Duty and highly recommend them to others. I literally don't have anything negative to say. And my name is Karen - so that is rare!

Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, Responsiveness, Value Absolutely wonderful company with great people! Moved out of state- 14hr drive- totally apprehensive since we had never moved an entire house so far. BUT Movers On Duty completely erased that apprehension. On time, professional, friendly, NO surprises. Our quote was based on exactly what we had and exactly what we paid. The employees wrapped everything, dis-assembled and re-assembled everything that needed it. Nothing lost. Nothing broken. Quick, thorough, pleasant experience. I had the pleasure of working with MOD for my move yesterday. Imagine the conditions: A townhouse full (and I MEAN FULL) of stuff being divided between the moving truck, a curb alert in the front yard, and a dumpster in front of the house. Sunday of July 4th weekend. Incredibly hot and humid. And carrying my things to a 3rd-floor walk-up where the AC wasn't working. And in a pandemic. A team of three guys worked for 6 hours in the heat, wearing masks, and maintained great attitudes and excellent customer service throughout the day. They worked SO hard, kept me informed of their arrival time, obviously knew what they were doing, and were flexible when I had issues getting into the new apartment at first. Leading up to the big day, I coordinated with Fabian, who is kind, knowledgeable, patient, flexible, and responsive. I cannot recommend Movers on Duty highly enough. Great people, great service, and an overwhelmingly positive experience!

When my movers cancelled on me the day I was supposed to move, I called Movers On Duty. They graciously accepted my job which was a five bed room house pack and move from Maryland to Michigan the very next day! I had a team lead by Devon who effectively packed a truck that could have easily been too small for the novice packer. I'm happy to say he was as effective unpacker as he was driver, lead unloaded and furniture assembler. I received my belongings on Friday of the same week. The packers came early on Tuesday and Devon communicated his arrival on Friday. There were several packers but Chanel(Michigan), Vanessa(Maand Tae(Michigan), Paul(Maryland) and Patrick(Michigan) stood out. I'm sure I left some good ones out. Movers on Duty did not charge me until after they packed my entire house and the I paid the balance after everything was unpacked and assembled. I was so pleased with Movers on Duty and was blessed to find them. Oh and Devon hung my pictures up too! (where there we already hooks)

I could get into the long story of our experiences moving cross country, but I'd rather tell you how great it was dealing with Movers On Duty. They showed up to pack on time, they were courteous, respectful and nice. David and his team did a wonderful job. We ran into problems getting our house settled in the time we were supposed to, Luis worked with us every step of the way; even though I had to change the moving location back and forth several times. I will tell you, that this is the advantage of working with a smaller company as opposed to the big national companies, they would have probably told us "too bad." Though we had a couple of tiny miscommunications along the way, Movers on Duty should ABSOLUTELY be your choice for any kind of move. Montana and his team out here in Kansas got the job done quickly and efficiently. This company gave us a WAY more affordable option than the big carriers and were much more understanding about issues that crop up along the way of a very stressful time. So, please, do yourself a favor, and if you have to move anywhere in the country, give Movers on Duty a call. You won't regret it, I know we didn't. If I could give them ten stars, I would. Movers on Duty seamlessly handled our family's recent cross country move. Their managers, movers, and owners were trust-worthy, hard-working, conscientious, patient, and efficient. They stuck to their price even when it turned out that we'd underestimated the cubic footage of our 5 bedroom home and they needed to rent extra truck and trailer. They showed up on time every time, put in extra hours, and even got across the country sooner than they set expectations. A rarity in the opaque moving industry, they under-promised and over-delivered. Though we were anxious at first -- a 1-page contract, no money down to secure the pick up date, and only one sales representative -- they put us at ease from the moment they showed up at our door. Gabriel (co-owner), Damont, Tyrell, Boston, and the rest of the team were great. And unlike many other companies that consolidate your belongings with others' to put them on a tractor trailer (increasing the odds of damage with all the packing and unpacking), the same crew that packed up our home also drove the trucks cross-country and unloaded them on the other end. By the end, it felt like we had moved with friends. Sure, a few things were nicked and scraped, but the company immediately took responsibility for them. I would strongly recommend Movers on Duty, as they reduced the stress of a move from the get-go and through the process.
