American Home Shield sent out Melton Plumbing in January of 2023. The two service guys Melton Plumbing sent out looked unkept, but what could we do? They charged us $400 to replace our PRV valve, expansion tank, and T&P valve, as American Home Shield only covered the T&P valve. Fast forward to today, September of 2023, we have another leak. We decided to go with another reputable company, Thomas and Galbraith to check Melton Plumbing’s work. Turns out, Melton Plumbing installed the new expansion tank behind the old PRV valve, which has caused a new leak. I reached out to Melton Plumbing before I reached out to American Home Shield to inform them of the findings. They answered the phone for me on 9/5/2023 and spoke as if someone would get back to me. However, I have yet to hear from them anymore. One would think a company would want to rectify its wrongs. This is not the case. Now I am currently going back and forth with American Home Shield on why they do not take note of service requests to figure out why the same unit keeps failing instead of trying to create another service request and collect another $75; and why they aren’t holding contractors accountable if the same unit continues to fail within a certain time frame. It has not been a year since Melton Plumbing came out and we have another leak. This is frustrating and I pray you can make this news. These companies cannot continue to take advantage of hardworking Americans. In the meantime, our hot water valve has to stay off. Melton Plumbing needs to right their wrong!

Desired outcome: For Melton Plumbing to repair the issue the correct way!
