I got lazy and sloppy; tried a mastecard from a grocery store a couple blocks away, instead of re-loading a visa card at walmart a couple miles away.

I'd buy cheap dvds off amazon, make sure to count the sale and postage---but the final sale wouldn't go through; amazon would e-mail about, seemingly, not enough money on the card.

I bought one or two cards to make sure my amazon account not ruined by buying and then having to cancel stuff. I bought a 50 and two 25 dollars cards----I probably lost 30 dollars total.

And when some amazon seller listed merchandize that was sold a long time prior, my money wasn't refunded with Mastercard either.

I used up these cards in a day or two, wasn't as though they were laying around forever; mastercard must deduct fees right on the same day, on top of the five dollars you pay for the card.

dumb me now realizes i was on a fake mastercard site.

in yahoo mastercard gift card search engine there's "manage your gift card---log in" at www.consumer card access. com"

this fake mastercard site lets you use half the money on your card, so that when there isn't enough money for the final purchase you might blame a glitch at the site you're buying from or a glitch with mastercard----so you might get a second card and return to the same site in order to finalize the last purchase.

stupid me did this, took awhile to figure it out----and i bet they ripped off lots more for millions; all those last ten dollars on a mastercard gift card add up.

Purchased a $100 Mastercard gift card April 9 2018. Didnt keep the bill. The cashier did not activate the card. Gave them my bank information, sent pics of the card, sent last 4 digit of my debit card and it still won't be refunded. Next step will be small claims court.

I am now a little concerned. I bought 2 mastercard gift cards and just realized I paid 4.95 and 3.95. Well I won't buy them again. I should have just given money. Anyway, I went to the site the card instructed just to see the balance and it said it was not a valid number. My receipt matches the number so I will go back to Pathmark where I bought it. I will never buy a mastercard gift card again. Too much stress.
And...why pay for something you are not even sure is going to work.
