Re: Jalil Fathullah/ Sears Auto Center
To whom this concerns:

I am asking your help to resolve an issue I had with the Sears Auto Center, (SAC) in Frisco, Texas, 75034 on 08/ 18/ 2010... I dropped my ’04 Mercedes at the center to repair the alignment issue with the car, (pulling to the right). But after two days the car left in shop the SAC informed me that the car needs to replace the Lower Control Arm to fix the alignment problem…I paid $170 for the part from second party and provide it to the SAC hoping to fix the alignment problem. Next day SAC called me to inform me that the car ready to pick up from the shop.
I asked them if they did the driving test they said “no we did not”. I asked the mechanic his name Mick who worked on the car to ride with me to test the car whether the car is still pulling to the right or not. After testing the car we found out it still pulls to the right side and problem is not repaired yet. Beside that the display in the car was showing the battery of the car is bad… They left the power on in the car for two days caused to drain the battery.
I had long talk with the center employees then with the manager his name is Lennon that the car’s problem is not fix yet beside replacing the part was useless solution to repair the alignment on the car because the car stills pulling to the right! I asked him not to charge me the service fee also the battery on the car was die. He decided without any consideration or leniency to charge me $73.50 for the service. Also he said they replaced the original battery with new one and reset the system.
Next day I found out the system in the car shows the battery is bad, they replaced old one with another bad, or maybe use one and they reset the car temporary…they just tried to push me away from the center..
It’s very difficult to communicate with center employees especially with the manager to resolve this issue. Therefore; today I am sending a letter to your corporate office in an attempt to get a resolution.
I am requesting you to reimburse me a total amount of the $443.50, the price of the Lower Control Arm, ($170) plus the service charge, ($73.5) and the price of the original battery please, ($200)
I am a disabled Iraq veteran who needs to keep careful watch on each penny I spend each month. The $443.50 and replace my battery with new one may not be a lot of money to the Sears however in my situation those monies could be used towards other expenses including my medical needs each month. I am not able financially to take my car somewhere else to replace the battery and pay again to repair my car issue
I would like my request escalated within sears corporate to whoever can make the decision for my request. I would like the opportunity to speak to that person so that any unanswered questions could be resolved.
Your immediate response will be appreciated. Please call me at your earliest convenience.

Sincerely,
Jalil Fathullah
