I took my car to Leavens Volkswagen Inc. for a glow plug warranty change, but they charged me an hour of labor instead. I had to go to an outside shop to get it changed. I bought a diesel car from Leavens through the buyback program, and it came with a Volkswagen warranty. The engine light came on, and I took it to my mechanic, who said it was a glow plug and covered by the warranty. I took it to Leavens to get it changed, and they made me sign a sheet saying I would pay an hour of labor if it wasn't covered by the warranty. They later told me that I needed something that wasn't covered by the warranty and that it wasn't the glow plug. They charged me $134 for labor. I took it back to my mechanic, and he changed the glow plug, and the car issue was resolved. I contacted Leavens to let them know, and they only refunded me the $134, but I still had to pay $207 to get the glow plug changed. I asked them to cover the cost as they should have in the first place, but they refused. Now I'm stuck with a bill for something that should have been covered by my warranty.

My car's AC wasn't working properly at the start of summer. I took it to Leavens Volkswagen Inc. and they charged me almost $200 to diagnose the issue. They said the shut down valve #5 was defective and needed extensive work, costing almost $300 for the part and $1400 for labor plus tax. I asked them to order the part and they called me when it arrived. I brought the car back and they said they changed the part, but the AC still wasn't working. They then said the sensors that communicate errors were defective and needed to be replaced, but were on back order. They insisted I pay $1400+tax in addition to the diagnosis fee I already paid, and I could take the car without it being fixed. They gave me the option to come back and fix the problem after ordering the sensors for an additional $360, or take it somewhere else. I refused to pay until the car was fixed, so they kept it for about 4 weeks and gave me a replacement to use until they ordered the sensors. They finally fixed the problem by replacing the sensors and charged me a total of $2050 plus the diagnosis fee of around $200. I believe they misdiagnosed the problem and charged me for unnecessary work, and I should only pay for the sensors and related work, and be refunded the rest. Additionally, I had to pay for gas for almost a month, costing me over $500.

I went to Leavens Volkswagen Inc. in the winter to get some work done on my 2018 car. When I got it back, there was a big dent on the hood. The service guy said it was already there, but I didn't want to argue. In March, I brought the car back to fix a check engine light, but they told me it had been in an accident before and needed more repairs. When I picked up the car, the airbox was broken and nothing was connected. I talked to the service manager, but he didn't want to show me the video footage. I left a bad review and the GM asked me to call him. He said he would investigate, but I haven't heard back from him. The car is still sitting in my driveway.
