I'm retired and have a modest fixed income, significant retirement assets, exceptional credit and very little debt. But given this, as mortgage rates have dropped i was turned down by 4 other lenders when i tried to refi because of income requirements. I was referred to Kevin H at Ladera Lending by a family member who had a great experience with him. Kevin walked me through the process and clearly explained options for how to qualify. He was the only one interested in helping me get approved, and did when no one else could!

Marlon at Ladera Lending is absolutely fantastic! He was always on top of everything and very efficient. I never had a refinancing done so quickly (3 weeks), and he advised me on the best way to go about my refinancing. He was always right there to answer my questions right away before and after my refinancing. Marlon is very friendly and easy going. He made the process so smoothly, and I was not once stressed. Refinancing can be so grueling and intimidating. I am totally grateful and thankful for Marlon as he was right there for me.

I highly recommend Kevin Hall and Ladera Lending. The process of obtaining a cash- out refinance loan was made so simple. Kevin was able to answer all my questions in a timely manner. He is very knowledgeable and professional. The e-sign process was very easy to use and the loan was clearly detailed. Even when other lenders were estimating up to 3 month to close my loan, Kevin and Ladera Lending were able to fund my loan in only 5 weeks! And it would have funded even quicker had it not been for a local natural disaster that delayed the funding.

I have nothing but praise for the way Ladera Lending handled our refinance. From the day I first spoke to them to the date my refinance was funded and my original mortgage was paid off was *** the lowest overall closing cost price. Since Ladera closed so quickly I was able to save several hundred dollars just in the interest that I wouldn't be paying on my higher rate mortgage. I would definitely use them again and will certainly recommend them to anyone looking to refinance your higher rate mortgage.

I worked with Andy E when I needed extra money to complete my remodel and could not refinance due to the house being gutted. He helped find me a loan to get me through that tough time. Once the remodel was completed, he worked with me on refinancing and getting the best option based on my less than perfect credit. He was always available and honest, which I appreciated! I just completed an excellent refinance of my home with the very knowledgeable direction of Jason B and his crew at Ladera Lending. Jason told me he could easily beat the prolonged efforts of another larger company that I had started with, and he was so right about that! Working with Jason I found that any questions I had were quickly answered - I was never left wondering what was going to happen when. And I was happily signing closing papers three weeks after our first call. Oh, and the notary was surprised at the low rate that I had in this refi. That sure felt good. A pleasure to work with such a winning team!

What a fantastic experience refinancing our home to a great rate. Garrett B was all about my convenience, contacting me through my preferred method, calling me on a Saturday to ease my concerns (which turned out to be unfounded.) He approached me with the best case scenario and kept his word. His assistant Danielle was helpful and stayed on top of our process to keep things moving, making sure I didn't miss anything with initial paperwork and cause my own delay. She even helped me late on a Friday evening. On Kim-Paris also was a great processor. She prepared for the worst and delivered the best. Exactly 3 weeks after my initial contact with Garrett, we were fully funded and the whole refinance was complete.

I've almost always used friends or acquaintances to do my mortgages. For this refinance, I was in a hurry, and simply through my luck in to the wind. When *** of Ladera Lending promised he could complete the process and pay off our old mortgage in just ten days, I said OK. He was absolutely true to his word and ten business days later our refinancing was complete, money in hand and having experienced, no hassle. *** managed to pull this off even though we were on vacation, out of state, and thousands of miles from the home that we were re-mortgaging. Ladera's rates were right on (even though we could have hypothetically received a thousand dollar rebate by refinancing through our existing mortgage company, had we desired to jump through their hoops and wait a minimum of six weeks for their re-mortgaging process to complete). Great job, *** and thank you, Ladera.

He was able to explain everything thoroughly for us every step along the way. As someone who has not been through the lending process before, he was able to teach me the process and make it as understandable as possible for. After 8 weeks of back and forth, they have declined my refinance. I literally gave them 100% truthful info and sent them copies of tax returns, w2's, check stubs, EVERYTHING they needed, for the last 3 years. My husband was on disability for a portion of last year due to a sprained knee. And my income declined do to a major client of mine going bankrupt. Even with this info, they pushed forward. My husband and I still made $150k last year and both have 750 credit scores. My home business is established with returns for over 10 years! They lietrally told me they were declining me because my income went from 150K in 2018 to 100K in 2019. I STILL MAKE 100K! But besides this fact, they knew all of this in the first 30 minute phone call. Now, I am stuck with a $75 bill from my current lender for 3, yes 3, payoff requests. Why did they request payoffs if they were declining my loan? 8 weeks of wasted time. ANd when I voiced my frustrations to Mary Vidrine, she literally put the phone on her desk until I stopped talking! Great customer service right? So I called the loan agent, Zack green, and his response was that he would email Mary's manager. ZERO follow through so far. I want the $75 that I have been billed by my current loan holder

Horrible. The man we worked with screwed up several times. He even got our loan confused with another couples. He also told me the appraisal was going to be $450, then $500 was deducted from my bank account. I asked him about it and his response was: Well, if 50 bucks is an issue, I'll give it to you out of my own wallet. Also, this person also took advantage of the phone/online process. I was told MANY times, that I HAD to sign by such-and-such time that day or the rate would expire. He also skimmed over the fact that my money that I would be entitled to would only be deposited in my bank account AFTER my second mortgage was paid off. I never knew what was going on until I saw the closing documents that I was only getting about 1/3 of what we were expecting. The care this individual "gave" was absolutely horrible. He took advantage of our lack of understanding how refinancing was conducted. He knew we were in a hard spot financially, and he did what he could to "make the deal happen". After this refi went through, we were forced to go with another refi company because of the payments being so high and not explained to us. This individual texted me and berated me for going to another company. He told me, "Now I won't get my commission" I gave you lender credit, but now you are taking money from me. CLEARLY, all he was worried about was his commission.

My husband and I were trying to take advantage of the low COVID rates so we went with the first lender we talked to (Quicken Loans) and they told us it would be about 30 days to close. Well after about 70 days we still hadn't closed and they were still requesting proof of my husband's self employment income. Needless to say we were ticked. Before pulling the plug I started looking into other lenders to see if anyone could match their offer (closing costs, interest rate, and payment). Well I came across Ladera Lending and spoke with Andy E and he said he would look and see what he could do. He got back to me super quick and let me know that he could not only match Quicken's offer but he could beat it. In addition to that he was able to qualify me for a 30 year loan on my income alone so we didn't have to jump through the same self employment hoops that we had been dealing with for te last 2 months. We bailed on Quicken Loans and started working with Andy at Ladera Lending and the experience was so different! Andy and his team were always quichk to respond and stuck to the timeline they gave me at the beginning which we really appreciated. We always dealt with the same few people instead of having to call in and hold for an hour to talk to someone different each time. We will definitely use them again for any other mortgages or refinances we do in the future.

They were incredibly responsive, they followed through and answered all of the questions I had. *** would reach out to me directly to talk through the figures, language and was happy to explain the process to ensure I understood and was comfortable with the loan options. I was so impressed with the quick turn around to close and the *** of closing.When we decided to take advantage of the low interest rates and refinance our loan we made the mistake of filling out an online inquiry through an ad pop up and were aggressively bombarded with calls, texts and emails from over a dozen lenders. I can honestly say that Ladera lending was the only company that did not behave this way. From the first contact with ***, he put us at ease and it was smooth sailing throughout the entire process. He was a true professional. It took 3 weeks or so to finalize and close and we are very happy that we chose Ladera to help us with our financing needs. So happy, in fact, we referred another couple to *** and they delivered again. Same smooth process. Ladera Lending had the best loan options and saved us ALOT of money! We will recommend *** and his team to all of our friends and family without hesitation and will use them for any future finance needs! Shout out to *** and *** as well, you guys were awesome to work with!

I called Ladera Lending because a friend recommended them and I totally trust her judgment. I wanted to refi and buy out my ex. This was July . Mark the loan officer asked me for all my financials which i gave him. He sent an appraiser who turned in an appraisal that was lower than the divorce appraisal by 40k. I told him I had a fresh higher appraisal and he said he would challenge his appraisal but did not. He then called to tell me that he could not do a refi for the amount I needed. That I should only refi and pull out part of the money I would need. and out of that money, he wanted to pay off my son's car and a few small credit cards. Mind you, I make $160.000 a year and have a little over 335.000 in equity and need to pull out 159.000. I told him that i needed more money and he told me he would connect me with a friend that does HELOCS and I would get the remainder there. The next thing he says to me is that I should not mention to the underwriter that this is a divorce refi that it would complicate things. At that time my gut told me that I should not lie and I terminated the deal. I then talked with him after he got my message and said that it would be fine to be honest and we could go forward. It is now August. We were waiting on the divorce decree to be signed by a judge. I gave him that and apparently they don't know how to read legal documents. Another month goes by and I am told that they are very busy. Another month goes by and he says that my ex's attorney put a lien on the property. This is something they should have researched and knew before. The ex had the lien removed immediately but we had to wait another 2 weeks. weeks are going by and I ask for updates and I am told "it's happening" we are almost there. The underwriter is now reading my decree and decides that they cannot just refi and give me part of the money. My decree clearly states that I can refi for part of the buyout. I tell this to mark and he acts surprised so he clearly never read it. That was the last I heard from him and that was the first week of February . I was taken on a 7 month ride that wasted my time and has caused much stress in my life. He lied on several occasions telling me we were done and then -no we are not closing. One one occasion I waited all day for a notary because I would need to sign closing papers. The notary never showed. Another time he had my ex sign a document he needed. I questioned why she should sign when its my loan. He said "Oh right, sorry." The last straw was when they wanted my attorney to prepare the quick claim deed. And they would not accept the legal document showing the lien had been removed. Two very good attorneys could not understand what they wanted. Totally baffling really. I came to the conclusion finally that these people are not doing their homework. They are shifting deals in their interest. This loan would have cost $17,000. I never heard back from mark after I pointed out that they are reading the decree incorrectly. 7 months of my life totally wasted and 7 months of my ex's life wasted.
