Insta care/urgent care
My 73 yr old spouse Karen Goodin was treated at urgent care/Pahrump, Nv. for a fall on 1/29/24 at 12:45 pm and was told by Ashley Juste NP-C after looking at an x-ray of her left arm that she had a fractured Ulna and was placed in a temp cast. On Mon. Feb 5th I took her to Las Vegas Concierge Orthopedics Dr. Carr and was told that her arm was NOT broken and...

Returned a hearing aid to cottonwood audiology 6 weeks ago. Was not informed how to receive and refund. Three days later I was told to call billing and ask for refund.Billing informed me they would place refund back on my card. This went on for 2 more weeks, and including IHC advocate service, which was not helpful. 3 weeks ago billing said they would send me a check, and could not replace refund on card.I still have not received refund check and billing says it can take 14 or more days. This seems unprofessional to me and I would like an expedited check. This is too long to wait for a refund.
Desired outcome: Refund of $1698.
Emergency service with a non-network provider acct 107-[protected]
I unfortunately had accident where i fell and hit the temple of my forehead, emergency services were called but failed to provide me with option of emergency care. I believe they just looked at my insurance card that said blue cross blue shield but missed the part that said of ILLINOIS where our corporate office's are located. As a result i was taken to IHC on 5121 Cottonwood st. murray utah 84107 where i have not received care before there before. I should have been taken to St. Mark's where all my medical treatements have been handled on 1200 E. 3900 So. which was also closer to my accident occcurred as a result im being billed by IHC a non provider for emergency services when i shouldn't have gone to them in the first place. And as a result my provider is paying $0 towards this care. And now i am receiving outrageous bills from IHC again NON-PROVIDER. i would like someone from the financial assistance department to contact me to resolve this billing and remove the charges all together and or negotiate to a much lesser cost of care. I believe and error was made by the emergency services team and hospital to manage my care when i should have gone to my primary hospital. Its absolutely riduclous how much is being charged for this care which i did not request. i would appreciate it if someone could resolve and remove these charges all togther and or assist me with negotiating a reduced charges. Because of the fact that i was not allowed to choose my facility of care or asked i believe it is on IHC to remove these charges all together. Not to mention i don't have the funds to pay these services as they are higher due to being charged from a non network provider and nothing is being routed through my personal health insurance. I am extremely dissapointed that IHC made this assumption of where i should have received care without checking my provider first or myself for that matter. Not to mention there were so many CT scans performed, it almost seemed like IHC took advantage of the situation for their own cost benefit. It apears there was excessive treatments that went on. Dan Rodriguez [protected]
Desired outcome: I wish to have these emergency charges removed alltogther or greatly reduced due to the error above of sending me to a non network provider.

billing/financial aid/payment
Before receiving a treatment I tried to get infusion center to coordinate with my insurance so I wouldn't get a surprise bill. I had received the same treatment the year prior but had different insurance. I got a bunch of excuses why they couldn't do that. Suprise...I got a bill for 4,400 after my insurance had paid. I applied for financial aid and was treated like I was stupid by the staff anytime I called and asked a question. I was turned down for financial aid because "I make too much money". I explained that my work was seasonal and work a lot during the ski season. Now ski season is over and my income has dropped significantly I cannot make my payment. I will never deal with IMHC ever again.
Desired outcome: some kind of financial aid
On call doctor
May 21, 2023
My daughter had brain surgery and was released from the hospital but he head start hurting very bad ( a 10 out of 10) he was the doctor on call and being trying call him since 7 this morning and when he was finally reach gave the wrong medication and instruct the physician answer service no to bother him again so we have to come to the emergency room with all that that imply ( pain and money an waste of resources )
Desired outcome: To get doctors to be willing to explain what is going on not just stop taking the calls
Valet parking
I sent in a complaint @5days ago.I have not heard from anyone.I did speak to Daniel about this matter.
If I am correct the the day and time of the incident occurred on March 20th at 2:00. I was going to an appt.at the hospital.Mike ,from valet ,asked me what I wanted.Mike then told me “if I can walk then I can’t have Valet parking”. I was shocked. He then proceeded to tell me that “Valet was closed” it was 2:00.
After I explained my health issues he begrudgingly parked my car.
You can not judge a book by It’s cover.. I may look healthy but my heart is a different story.I am going to have a 3rd heart operation.
It is no one,’s business why I use valet services. That is violating my HIPPA rights.
I have used valet parking since it was iniated with no problem.Mike needs a course on how to treat customers.McKay Dee is known for I’s fine customer interaction and treating patients with care and dignity.
I need to hear back from you with a solution for the future.
Mary Kristin Bauter
Desired outcome: To see that this never happens again.
McKay-Dee Hospital
My fiancé went to the ER the other day (Jan 31, 2023), after having breathing issues and chest pain, the did nothing to help her other than a breathing treatment and tell her to use her inhaler, the doctor was dismissive and rude, ran no test, or labs to determine the issue causing the problem, hardly spoke with her which caused her anxiety to spike a make things worse to the point she was admitted to the access center, the therapist there accused her of not wanting to leave in the middle of the night, which was not the case at all.
Because we are low income, they are constantly not taking her seriously and basically try to get her out the door asap. Due to her breathing issues and it being ZERO DEGREES outside and the people there refusing to help her with transportation, she would have had to walk several blocks in zero or below temps, which could have been fatal given her condition.
They have no right to treat people like this and it is unacceptable and not at all ok, it is basically discrimination without openly doing so.
Desired outcome: We would like an apology and test to actually determine what is going on.
Intermountain medical center ER, Holly Clark’s PA in the Park City Specialty clinic
I traveled over 100 miles in hope of receiving care after the SelectHealth nurseline suggested I needed a bigger hospital. I was told that if I couldn’t orally hydrate the hospital would keep me. I was misleadand now I still can’t orally hydrate over a day later. I have no redress for complaints through the system and they seem to just make everything worse and add to the retaliation by doctors.
The clinic refuses to let me make an appointment under more conditions and has accused me of drug seeking inspite never asking for medication for pain, just asking what my next steps were. I received no redress when asking what I should do about experiencing repeated GI bleeding, worsening upper abdominal pain and now something that looks like my gastroparesis has gone to grade 3. Apparently from comments one of the physicians has written something unflattering in my chart that I can’t have access to that now makes it so that I have been treated progressively worse. I’m being retaliated against and have no greivence without a lawsuit. I can’t even express hopelessness without being accussed of trying to manipulate people.
At this point in time I would not go into this facility without a sound recording device, because they just lie to my face and on my chart. I do not trust these doctors not to lie on my chart or to the staff. When, not if I callopse because I can’t orally hydrate there will be a lawsuit and as soon as humanly possible I will be changing my insurance to Molina or anything that does not require me or any member of my family or friends to patronize an IHC facility.
Desired outcome: Not making retaliatory notes in the chart system to target young disabled patients ever again might be a great start. Training your staff how to take a complaint without closing ranks to protect the doctor in the wrong.
Dr. Jonathan Gochnour - McKay-Dee Hospital ED
I went to the McKay-Dee ER on October 23, 2022 due to a small wound on my foot that I was concerned about. The Doctor spent no more than 10 minutes with me, at least 5 of which we taking up by chatting about something that was not relevant to the reason I was there. I asked the same question several times in different ways trying to get some advice on what I should do, and I never received an answer. He then told me he didn't know if it was infected but he would give me some antibiotics and I could take them if I want. For this few minutes of unhelpful service I was charged $1061.89 by Intermountain and $535 (for a total of $1596.89). This is an exorbitant charge for 5 minutes of "care". I was completely unimpressed with Dr. Gochnour and the poor care that he gave me.
Desired outcome: I would like my bill to be reduced to an amount that actually reflects the care that I received and how I was treated during my visit. I want this doctor to be coached to improve his care in the future.
This is on Intermountain physical therapy.
I was referred to do physical therapy by workmed on 1, 31, 22 and for weeks I called and left messages and no call backs. So, did a walk in and was scheduled a appointment for today at 8:30 am . I showed up and it was charged without telling me. Then I'm told that they will get me in today. So I have to cancel all my other appointments. This is bs
This is the worst insurance. The Dr I chose through intermountain is the most uncompassionate dr I have ever had. Dr Brian Earley in boulder city NV doesn't care about the person, he just wants the money. Us seniors don't matter.
Dropping appointments
Desperately needed a psychiatric appointment. Took all I had to get out and make it. In early February, we made the appointment for their earliest availability at IHC. This date happened to be April 1st. I was given a 13 page information packet to fill out in order to fulfill the consultation.
During terrible hours of terrible days in these 7 weeks I would find myself counting down the time until I could see somebody and try to get some help.
At 10 AM April 1st, one HOUR before my scheduled appointment I received a phone call that my appointment was cancelled. And if I would like to call back in three weeks she could try to schedule me another one.
On a personal note, things like this completely defeat me--leave me feeling unimportant, unwanted, and unworthy of proper respect.
On a professional note, the hospital would have charge me a fee for cancelling within 24 hours.
COLLECTION ON SETTLED BILL
Ic systems calls and sends letters threatening to further action if not paid. these bills mentioned have been paid either up front or through collections. we are not to blame for lack of communication between ic systems and clients, or ic systems and the courts, any judgements coming out of ic systems collections have been addressed period, we are not paying the bill twice.
