As a female stumbling on this industry I had my reservations, but I was intrigued enough to move forward with signing up for a class. I chose to go with Inspection Certification Associates (ICA) based on the previous reviews, specifically I saw a common name being mentioned throughout. In attending my training, I had the opportunity to match the name with a face. Within an hour of class my anxiety and walls came down. I felt comfortable with my decision with going with ICA but mostly I knew I was in good hands. The instructor and staff really breaks down complex information into bite size compartments along with aligning real world examples to paint the big picture. The experience was life changing and unexpected for a training. The instructor speaks life into you and helps you immensely to think confidently in yourself. He is not the average trainer. You will leave out a completely different person but the new person you become is one that will care about helping people on their biggest purchase of their life and feel good that you were a part of their journey. To my ladies interested in this industry I highly recommend. To the gentlemen in my class, I thank you so much for making a girl feel comfortable. Ladies we can do this! Don't hesitate just do it! When I got started with the 120 hours of online modules I wasn't sure what I had gotten myself into. I needed something self paced that would cohere to my busy schedule. When i needed any help it was there. Impressive! I would recommend anyone use Inspection Certification Associates for their home inspection training. The field training class with Floyd and his team as instructors is one of the best training classes and decisions I have ever made. Floyd's knowledge of construction from years of experience as a contractor matched with his knowledge and experience in the home inspection field is unmatched! He is one of the most well rounded individuals that I have ever had the pleasure of learning from. When you have Floyd and his team as instructors you are going to learn a ton about home inspections and have a great time doing it. I wish I would've met these folks a long time ago and I would definitely recommend anyone take this class with these instructors. They are definitely stewards of the home inspection industry and Inspection Certification Associates is lucky to have them as instructors!

I originally took this course as a stepping stone towards a future career. My mentality has completely shifted towards the industry, my role in the inspection process and my eagerness to learn as much as possible. Jim with ICA was always available to take a call from me. There were a lot of questions I needed answered and from start to finish the school has been excellent. Jim was an effective team member at helping me coordinate my education. The instructors , Floyd and Sandra , were outstanding. This is putting it lightly. The in person training has already began to change how I view the process. I feel very prepared for the test. Floyd is an amazing instructor who's knowledge is staggering. I feel blessed to have been lucky enough to learn under him. Sandras business knowledge is second to none and her willingness to share information has given me the confidence I needed to do this work. At first I thought I was just getting myself a new job. There aren't enough stars or words to express my thoughts about the class I took from Floyd and Sandra at Inspection Certification Associates. From the beginning, they remind you that you're family and every day that passes is simply a reminder that you are a special part of their lives. Their openness and transparency let you into their lives in just the right doses so that you can begin to experience the confidence and courage it takes to get out of this class much more than you ever expected. As a seasoned professional of over 30 years in another career I chose to change paths to home inspection. I have personally provided my share or training over the years...but, to watch Floyd be able to bring the same energy level to class every day is quite amazing. Floyd has a unique skill of challenging each student with the information they have already gained in order to put it into application. He does that without the student feeling threatened or belittled. He meets them where they are in order to bring them to higher levels of intelligence and application. From the very beginning Floyd was full of energy, ready to teach us the ways of home inspecting. Originally I was nervous starting this course, I am a female and only have slight construction knowledge... That immediately changed when Floyd opened his heart and mind to the class, giving us real life experience scenarios of his with our coursework. (He also gave me the confidence and support as a woman to go into this field, truly!) I am so honored to have Floyd and Sandra as our instructors, they are absolutely amazing people. In a matter of days, our classroom of strangers became a giant family that Floyd and Sandra created. The love and care that they pour into educating was not something I expected, but definitely what I needed. I was astonished by Floyd and Sandra, they truly care about the classroom being successful not only as inspectors but also in real life as people. We had classroom time supported with in field training, it was wonderful to connect all the dots from paper/screen to real life in homes! I was given the knowledge and confidence to feel comfortable on site and be the best inspector I can possibly be. I will forever be thankful to ICA and their wonderful instructors Floyd and Sandra! I cant begin to express how great Inspection Certification Associates and their instructors have been. I have never had so much information thrown at me in such a short amount of time but it was not overwhelming. The class was so much fun better than any class I have ever taken before. The instructor tells you that once you take his class you become part of his family and you can rely on him and the rest of your life and he does everything he possibly can to make sure you feel that way. We had 22 people in our class but I always felt like we had one on one sessions because he would always answer your questions and he would give you the time you needed to make sure you understand everything. The knowledge that the instructor has is just mind blowing. You WILL walk away from this class with more than just home inspection knowledge, you will have a new perspective on life that will make you go WOW. I could not imagine taking this class with anyone else. The way the instructor presents facts allows you to retain information and his colorful stories just hammer them home. If I could give them more than 5 stars I absolutely would. I recommend anyone serious about becoming a home inspector take his class and absorb EVERYTHING. make sure that you request the instructor you do not want anyone else. the 10 days go by way too fast but the confidence you feel when your 10 days is up is amazing!so enjoy your time and good luck to all of you.

When I was contemplating about home inspection, I was not looking forward to hours and hours of boring useless lectures from a washed up contractor that knows it all but for some reason isn't doing it anymore. So I reached out to ICA after receiving a recommendation from a realtor. I was impressed immediately with the customer support I received from Joe. He got me signed up and I was still not looking forward to the classes. Once I got started though, I couldn't stop. I found myself getting more and more interested in starting this new career. I was still apprehensive about all of the live class room time that I would have to endure. All of that melted away very quickly after meeting Floyd. His confidence and upbeat demeanor capture your attention and his stellar teaching style is unparalleled. Floyd teaches with passion and it is very apparent that his intent is to coach you in this career and not just disseminate information like a boring robot. Floyd and Sandra come across more as a life coach than a teacher. They truly want each of us to be great inspectors and successful business owners as well as good people that want to do a great job for our clients. I came into this course not fully knowing what to expect or how it would go. I've been in the education field as a teacher for 12 years. I've taken all sorts of trainings and updates on curriculum, instruction and best practices. I know what it's like to try and deliver information to a group of people with all sorts of backgrounds and abilities. Floyd and Sandra take it to a new level. This training brings the best out of YOU. They believe in YOU and in turn creates a passion and drive that you want to bring to them and others. Yes, they deliver the information you need to be a great inspector. They get you the hands on. But that's not the whole story. That's the beginning of the journey. The way they teach the curriculum, their delivery, their pedagogy it's rare and inspiring. You can tell they have the passion for what they do and they truly want you to have that passion. From day one they have been approachable, kind, caring and informative. Having no prior experience or exposure to home inspections, I was completely blind when choosing a provider for my mandatory training. I feel as though I couldn't have been luckier or more blessed having chosen Inspection Certification Associates (ICA) to be my first mentors in this amazing business and career path. From the very first day, ICA promoted an atmosphere conducive to learning, sharing, and team building. By the end of the course of instruction, it was clear that we had all become family and that we will be sharing many stories, experiences, and lessons learned into the future as we pursue our individual career paths. ICA is the way to go!Let me start off by saying out of all of the courses I could've taken I am so blessed to have chosen ICA. From the moment I inquired via email and phone call I was welcomed. I never got the feeling of pressure from them. A few follow up emails with more information from ICA and my choice was made. A few of the other places never followed up with me. Now onto the 80 hour hands on course and instructors. Naturally everyone has their doubts such as this will be a boring power point class and go out and look at a house or 2. This was not the case at all! The instructors were absolutely amazing. They treated the entire class as family and it felt sincere! They took their time to explain things and go over every detail no matter how many times they had to repeat a section they made sure everyone understood before moving forward! Then we went out to several different houses with different issues and again they stopped and explained everything to everyone. [Instructor 1] and [Instructor 2] were absolutely amazing. They delivered so much more than I ever expected to get out of this course! They brought so much energy and compassion to the class it was an absolute pleasure to be a part of it. The passion they have for not only the inspection field and their passion for teaching, They possess such a heartfelt passion to see others succeed in this field. I plan on sending a couple of employees to this course as long as [Instructor 1] and [Instructor 2] are still teaching the class!

Hi, my names evan, a recent graduate of the ICA class. Now after having sat through the test and an ica course taught by a Floyd Gibbs, i, well to put it mildly i feel amazing. Floyd and his team dont just sit down and tell you read what i put on the screen and email later if you have a question. They educate you as if you were going to represent their company tomorrow. They really prepare you to step into the world with confidence and not havw that confidence shut down by reality, because you were prepared for everything down to the letter, Floyd will stop an entire class and hammer at a subject until EVERYONE understands not just the few. Coming in and sitting in on this class i felt overwhelmed and out of place amongst my classmates all of whom had many different careers. degrees, and backrounds honestly i felt like it might not be for me. Being just an ordinary pizza man. However Floyd made it clear and pushed to make it so it did not matter my experience, but a willingness to learn is what mattered. Floyd pours out his soul and sacrifices his own free time well after class is over to put together tests, study guides, answer questions and give encouragement where needed. When you sign up for ica understand your not losing 1400+ On a quick certificate and slides. Your getting a BARGAIN on new skill set that will benefit you As LONG as you want it to. Mr. and Inspection Certification Associates deserves ten stars so here is why I am adding another five stars. My name is [Name] and I live in [Location]. I am coming up now on Friday being my 10th day to finish my in-person class with Mr. [Instructor] and [Instructor]. Becoming a Home Inspector was not a plan of mine, but being that I have retired from my first career after accomplishing my goals as a Professional Boxer I have had to find a new path instead of battling in what we fighters call the squared circle.After many weeks of research and spiritual counseling about what would be next for me, I come across becoming a Home Inspector. My coach is a general contractor and he thought it was a perfect business to get into due to me thriving as an independent. Researching the reviews on ICA seemed pretty legit to me. Even though I m very skeptical going by reviews I decided to give it a try and paid for the course. My first trade skill at 31yrs of age excited me a whole lot. Going into my first day in class I was super skeptical about what I was getting myself into. Mr. [Instructor] and [Instructor] really caught me off guard with not only how passionate they are, but how much they desired us (their students) to understand every little thing that we had questions with throughout the compiled days of cramming semesters worth of stuff in 10 days. I couldn't be more blessed to have such a heartwarming and caring couple who treats us, total strangers, as a family on top of bringing us up to their level by giving us all of their knowledge and driving their passion into our hearts to allow us to feel that same passion.I'm now excited about my future and can truly say that I no longer am confused as I was when I started this course and have found a new sense of purpose in my life. When I first enrolled in the Inspection Certification Associates program I was expecting a teacher reading slides off the board while you try to take notes quickly not knowing what would be important. However that was not the case.. Inspection Certification Associates has a different approach to teaching that helps you understand the fundamentals of how things work, and why. He gives you more information and knowledge than you pay for enrolling in this class and could benefit so many people (even if you're not becoming a home inspector) He gave great advice, personal experience, stories, and knowledge you cant read off a PowerPoint or on the internet. He talked about how to live your life to the fullest and never take a day for granted. He teaches you what you need for the exam, what helps you in the real world, and how to better your personal and professional growth as an individual. He made the experience fun with a laid back atmosphere and was able to teach a room full of people who all learn differently. Most of the class were opposite and all retained and learned a different way yet he was able to hit home with each student. He was great about testing each student and playing games with us but never made anyone feel stupid or disappointed in themselves. He laughed with us and at us making everyone feel like family. Inspection Certification Associates went above and beyond to make sure we got all the knowledge, confidence, and skills we needed to succeed in the world PLUS MORE! I would recommend this class to anyone who ask. I will be planning my continuing education credits with Inspection Certification Associates in the future and everyone else in the classroom was in agreement. He made the whole class feel special and brought everyone together while teaching us some amazing knowledge I would have NEVER received anywhere else in life. I wanted to document my experience for anyone that may read this that is considering this course. My advice to start would be that when you do book and take the course, make certain that it is with Inspection Certification Associates and their team. I did not know what to expect when signing up for this course. I am not someone that has the foundational knowledge in any field that directly relates to what you will be doing as a Home Inspector. My background and training for the past 28 years is in Aviation and Maritime. I thought that I would be receiving an in-person "button clicker" that would guide us through the process with a heavy reliance on a screen using a slide presentation. I was wrong. Inspection Certification Associates and their team bring you in, treat you like family and do not advance until everyone there has a complete level of comfort with each facet of the training. At first you may feel like you are in the wrong classroom. You may feel like you are in a Life-Coach training session, YOU ARE! You will be out in the field physically doing the work with experienced instructors and a gentleman named ***. The accumulative knowledge between them is confidence building and impressive. The three of them take the time is necessary to one on one address any questions you have and the process as a whole with you. What I gained was more knowledge than I had even considered possible in a 10 day period of time. I went in to this literally blind to this industry. Having completed the course now I realize that I gained the knowledge and confidence necessary to start the next phase of my life that for the first time I will have control over. I have every confidence knowing that as my path moves forward Inspection Certification Associates, *** and my classmates will be there for me and each other as we all grow in this industry. I was one of 17 individuals to be fortunate enough to take this program in Fayetteville, AR. Our instructors were Floyd and Sandra Gibbs. This is my story... On day one, we introduced ourselves and our backgrounds. We had a diverse group of people ranging from Master Electrician, Plumber, HVAC, Framing/Construction, Police Officer, Property Management, Appliance Techs, Veterinarian, Firefighter, Pest Control, Car Salesman, Retired and current Military, Quality Control, Logistics/Transportation, Mechanic, AT&T Tech, etc. The point is, we had people with a range of experience, some more, some less, but we were all equals. Floyd and Sandra, over the course of 8 days, were able to take us from uncertainty to confident in our abilities and to be able to assess a property to know not only what to look for, but to also determine what could cause an issue and the implications behind them, as well as how to direct a client towards remedying those issues. They were able to make a connection with everyone of us by simply being genuine in the way they spoke and presented themselves, as well as allowing their passion in the industry to lead them. They really reinforced to us how to take care of customers and to be of strong moral character with everyone we come into contact with from here on out, regardless of client or bystander in a gas station. Regardless of whom we run into, be professional, be polite, be the change that we want to see in others. Not only were we learning how to be the best inspectors in the area, but also receiving great life coaching. By the end of the week, just by looking in everyone's eyes, you could see the change in confidence amongst us all. We were excited to get out there and help others learn everything there is to know about the home they're wanting to make an investment in. Although I'm ready to make a paycheck again after taking a week off work (as a parent), if I could I would be 100% willing to spend an entire month in this course. I didn't show up to sit in a room with my competitors for over a week. We became an odd sort of family in there. That wasn't something I expected, but I'm thankful for. From all of us in your class, THANK YOU FLOYD AND SANDRA! We will forever be grateful for your mentoring over that week.
