And yes I read their troubleshoot info and there is still no sound. From the rest of the reviews it seems I'm not the only one with this same problem.

To the developer: if you are going to charge for an app this stupid-again based on the reviews I have read mentioning the farts sound really fake-at least make sure it's worth the dollar by actually working.

Basically go buy a doublecheese burger with your dollar-this app is worthless-perhaps it will actually make you fart for real.

i'm so mad i bought this app. it was a complete waste of money. i could've bought a song i wanted or something. this app is so pointless. the only reason i bought it was to be a nusance and make some jokes using this app with friends, or in class (which isn't a good thing), but the built in speaker quality of the ipod touch is too bad to make the farts sound legit. IT'S A WASTE OF A BUCK. I HATE TO SEE IT AS THE NUMBER 1 APP. IT DOESN'T DESERVE IT. It doesn't even deserve one star. DON'T BUY

Sneak attack is always fun, it’s excellent to hide it near a buffet or in your friends living room during a gathering.

Security fart is an excellent way to keep people from picking up your phone.

And its way cheaper than Calm app, it will turn your frown upside down in 10 seconds flat!

I do miss the send a fart feature…but listen, there is nothing butt fun in this app y’all.

Congrats on the #1 paid app spot, but I should have spent my 99¢ on a real Whoopie Cushion. The Whoopie Cushion widget for Mac has much better fart samples so I know it's possible. But as far as farts for the iPhone goes, this is the best we have right now - so I can't really complain. I have high hopes for this app with future updates and there's no holding back now that it's on the market. Maybe it's the iPhone speaker holding it back. Apple's next iPhone update should fine tune the EQ to optimize the fart potential.

Just a fun app. Unless you are an uptight and dour person, this has to give you a laugh. Easy and intuitive to use, with a great interface, this app is a gas (sorry)! The timer allows you to plant the "device" near someone and stay back to watch the fun. Timer goes to 5 minutes, but that should be enough...great to liven up a boring day at the office. The Security Fart mode is also good for laughs. You can even record your own, although my wife has told me that if I EVER do that, she's taking away my iPhone, and I believe her.

This app is the most funny app out there! It provides over 15 different farts. It is the best prank to pull on somebody. I suggest to use the "Wipe out" fart in a big crowd of strangers or in a bathroom. It is so worth $00.99 up to $1.99. I strongly suggest to buy this app if you have a good sence of humor. If you don't have a good sence of humor than I feel bad for you. Try useing the "Rasberry" fart with somebody (best with family) you know in a big crowd of strangers (act like that person you know did the farting). This app is the altoment prank machine.

Titles are priceless...not sure the economy needs the workplace productivity loss this will inspire, but then again, maybe it does!

The share function crashed my phone but when it works, it'll add new scrutiny to the request, "can I borrow your iPhone?"...

Have a laugh...don't yap about audio quality (do you need higher fidelity really?)...and quit complaining and embarassing yourself that you admit to requesting a .99 cent refund for a mobile fart download...I mean really...you got to love these guts...who names a fart "dirty raoul"?

Real farts are funny, so why go through the effort to record a bunch of fake ones that sound lame? You're trying too hard to fake something that is easy to get. This ain't the Hope Diamond - it's a FART. Here's a tip for the developers: give five college guys five bucks and a bunch of chili. Wait half an hour and then record all the great fart sounds you want. I bump it up to two stars only because the interface works well, the sneak attack and security features are cute, and there are lots of sounds to choose from. But fart machines come down to one thing: It's the fart, stupid. Make it sound real and it will be funny all by itself.

This app has had a couple of bad days lately. They just updated this app and do to some unknown elements of the iPhone software iFart started crashing.A lot of people have written bad reviews for this great little app. If they had just followed the link to the apps website they would have gotten the info I got where Infomedia lets it be known that they have a fix written and are waiting approval by Apple.SO, I would wait. The bad version is Version 2.0, so how ever they number the next version as long as it's higher then 2.0 download it.This app is a scream, very funny. And the software company is trying to fix this so give them a chance.

It's crashing after 1st use, for everyone. Has anyone gotten this to work after the last update? Seriously, if your going to integrate push into the app, you really need to wait until it's working before submitting to Apple. Shame on the devs for jumping the gun & shame on Apple for not testing it. So much for equal testing and evaluation, I know of quite a few apps that sit under Apples microscope for months before they're approved, what happened this time? Now that Ive vented, this is a great app and will be well worth the buck once it's been fixed, wish there was a way to go back tocthe old version, I really don't need a fart machine that uses push but it's a great idea.

Probably won't be $2.99 for long. ("Fart apps are the new flashlights!"). But I think it's worthwhile for the timer feature and the realistic audio selection.

The security mode should replace the waiting screen with something generic-looking, so the victim isn't tipped off. Or it should allow sleeping the phone- or both.

I think they should audio-process one or two farts to crank up the gain. A little audio distortion doesn't matter for this app, and given the limitations of the small iPhone speaker, it would be nice to cut through ambient noise a little better (so to speak).

This app has definitely restored my sense of child-like wonder about the iPhone - and just in time to prank relatives during the holidays...

UPDATE [01/28]: Best fart app in the app store. Beautiful & functional. 5 stars. The developer is very responsive to feedback and fixes problems in a timely manner.

UPDATE [Response to developer]: The 1st thing i did after the crash was delete and reinstall then restart the phone. Last night I updated to ios 13.4.3 and the problem persists. All you should have to do to replicate is very quickly scroll through the noise selector and when the bottom is reached the app will disappear. As an aside, great job with the updated look of the app. As soon as the crashing is fixed i will change the rating to 5 stars...

App crashes on ios 13.4.1 iphone xs. When scrolling through selections and you get to the bottom it just disappears. Please fix.

I had grabbed all the free flatulence apps when they came out, but iFart Mobile is the first paid fart app that I bought. I was mildly amused until today, when I was stuck at a boring family holiday gathering. I began occasionally pressing the "I'M FEELING LUCKY" bar to randomly let one fly, and as family members began to catch on to what I was doing, it surprisingly, (sadly?), brought the entire family close around each other, hitting different fart sounds and laughing rather hysterically. I'm guessing I'll only put this app on my iPhone once a year, but during that time, it's worth a spot for the smiles and laughter it brings. It's a fart app--it's not going to change the world--but it can help with some comic relief during the tense holiday season. :-)

This is a very fun and entertaining application. I've thoroughly enjoyed using all parts of this app including the "Sneak Attack" which allows me to set a timer for a chosen sound, set my iPhone down next to someone and then walk away, leaving that poor victim looking guilty when the fart goes off. Also, the Security Fart is cool - you turn it on and the moment someone moves your iPhone, it makes the fart sound you had it set to. Very funny.Fart-A-Friend allows you to send an email to a friend with an attached fart. I've sent one or 2 to my daughters and they love it! Of course, my family has set around and played different farts, comparing to certain people we know who have done that. What a blast!I've also enjoyed the Record-A-Fart which allows you to record your own unique sound. Unfortunately, it only allows one recorded fart at a time and they cannot be saved.I've had a blast with the 2 recent Fart Packs I was able to purchase: One was for food sounds, like "Cut the Cheese" and "Cauliflower" while the other Fart Pack is based on Movies, including "BraveFart" and "Harry Pooter." This fart app will bring you loads of phone and is well worth every penny and more!The only thing I would like to see added is to be able to record more then one fart using Record-A-Fart and save them with your own name so you can use them for later. Also, it would be fun to email a recorded fart and allow another iFart user to save that fart on to their iPhone.(Added)I had not read the other reviews before I made mine. Now I have and obviously, some folks have some serious problems or its just competitors trying to pull this application's ratings average down. I cannot believe the complaints about paying 99 cents for the extra fart packs. What a shame people have such issues with people making a living from their hard work: petty and sad...

First impressions:
This app isn’t for the “faint of fart”. Nor is it for the more mature among us. But it’s guaranteed to get laughs wherever you use it!

A large variety of farts to use on unsuspecting victims are right in the palm of your hand! Hilarious categories from standard stinks to political poots to film flatulations and so many more!

To go along with your ARSEnal of anal fury are features like timed farts, phone security farts and DIY fart recorder! That’s right! You get to immortalize your very own signature sound to share with others!

Diving a little deeper:
Some hang-ups I have are not deal breaking by any means. I’ve had this app for a couple years now and periodically prank my co-workers and have gotten plenty of use out of it and have no desire to remove it from my phone now. It’s a staple app! Anyway, over time I’ve noticed that there are segments of sounds that are reused in various farts, sometimes even an entire audio is used in a couple other fart categories. Shows a little lack in creativity but really it’s a superficial problem at worst.

Next is a little more frustrating and it has to do with the Record A Fart. The Record A Fart function is genius! But it doesn’t save your recording after the app closes. So if you have an epic expulsion saved and the app crashes or is restarted, it’s gone. Kinda stinks. And not in a good way. If there was a way to save your recording in-app indefinitely, that would be amazing! Then if you record another one, you could have the option to overwrite or save another fart! Maybe allow for 3-5 RAFs!

My last point is actually a function suggestion. Something I think would take this app to the next level. Devs, this one is for you!

This app needs to have an Apple Watch companion app! Choose your fart on the phone app, then use the Watch app to remote detonate the fart! The shenanigans are endless! That feature would even be worth dropping a couple bucks for! C’mon, be the first in your class to offer remote fart capabilities! It’s 2021 and this app needs to keep helping people get through these tough times!

At first I was able to hear everything but now I can’t. I do like the app but it’s hard to like something you can’t hear.

Hasn’t worked in a couple months. Any sound I click on & app closes. Used to be great. I am running current iOS on 12 pro.

I was so excited to prank people with this app. But I guess I was pranked because it won’t even open! I wish I could give it 0 stars.

What a waste.

No sound comes out when the button is pressed. Volume is at full volume and no sound is emitted. Literally useless. Please fix in next update. Until then, do not buy this app.

It’s a lot of fun yet the new app update has a horrible design. The button is almost invisible knowing where to press in comparison to that nice big red button. Beware the example screenshots are not the newest look. It’s bad and it not as much fun, and that stinks.
