Hiscox I called Hiscox Inc

I called Hiscox Inc. to file a claim and got a claim number. But then, nothing happened. I called customer service to tell them I never heard back from the claims adjuster, and the lady said Todd's usually good. But still, nothing happened. Luckily, I fixed the damages with the responsible party myself. But I learned my lesson.

Hiscox Don't ever deal with Hiscox Inc

Don't ever deal with Hiscox Inc. I've been with them for 3 years and when I made my first claim in December, they had no record of it a month later. I had to do it again. The adjuster texted me once to ask for a statement, but since then, no answer, no call, no show. The company is holding my pay and Hiscox said there's no limit on when they have to pay or do anything. So, I've been calling them, but no one answers and they can't do anything to help me.

Hiscox I run a small electrician business and been doing it for 30 years

I run a small electrician business and been doing it for 30 years. I never had any issues with my work or business, and I never claimed any insurance. I picked Hiscox for my insurance last year. The price was alright when I compared it to other companies I checked out. But, without any changes to my business or any claims, Hiscox increased my premium by 250%. Just a heads up to other contractors about the game they're playing.

Hiscox Hiscox ain't the best choice for insurance

Hiscox ain't the best choice for insurance. Updating your profile online is a no-go and don't even bother calling them because no one will pick up. I wasted hours on hold, pressing 1 for a callback, but it's all a sham. Their numbers don't connect to a real person and their online emails bounce back. If you need to cancel or update your policy or just need some customer service, you're out of luck. It's like they're a big shot online but there's no one actually working there.

Hiscox I wouldn't recommend Hiscox for insurance

I wouldn't recommend Hiscox for insurance. I've been with them for 2 years and got an email titled "Please review this update to your policy" with an attachment that looked like regular insurance paperwork. But, there was a sneaky line in there that said my premium was going up 50% for no reason. I switched to a different company. Plus, like others have said, you can't update your policy online. Pressing 1 for a callback doesn't even work. Canceling took way too much effort.

Hiscox I found Hiscox Inc

I found Hiscox Inc. on the web and called their *** center. One employee took all my company info like address, phone, and contact. She asked for yearly revenue, but I didn't want to answer before talking to a broker. She hung up on me. I called again, they took all the info again and connected me with bizinsure.com, which seems like another scam. They asked for all the information again. I would never work with them. Horrible customer service. I think they're getting all the information about your company and selling it in the market. Watch out.

I got this insurance policy for my therapy business and when I tried to make a claim, they said I was an acupuncturist instead of a licensed clinician. I asked for it to be fixed but the Senior Claims Examiner didn't help. He said he had to wait for the underwriting team. After four months, I asked for an update and he sent me the wrong contract again. He didn't take responsibility and ignored my request to cancel. I talked to a woman who said it was easy to cancel and start a new policy. This guy is not reliable and makes his company look bad.

Hiscox This company, Hiscox Inc, is a complete mess

This company, Hiscox Inc, is a complete mess. I tried to cancel my policy twice but was still being charged. When I called the help center, the name came up as Sutherland Global Services. Finally, on my third call, a gentleman cancelled my policy and sent me an email confirmation. However, I kept receiving emails saying my policy would renew on 1/3/23, even though it was cancelled on 10/4/22. To make matters worse, my credit card was charged again on 12/4/22 for a policy that was cancelled. When I called to get a refund and confirm the cancellation, I was given the run around and disconnected. I called back and spoke to another rep who said the policy was cancelled but the renewal wasn't. It doesn't make sense to keep a renewal on a cancelled policy! She cancelled the renewal and reversed the payment to my credit card, but I still haven't received confirmation that everything was cancelled and refunded. The call center and operations of this business are unacceptable. I doubt I'll receive a call back or email confirmation. I'm so frustrated!

This company is not advertising their true price, I am a painter and I tried quoting online but it said that I needed to talk with an agent, when I called I spoke to Andrew who said that the 300k policy will be costing me around $10,000 for only one person.

Hiscox double charged me from April until March and when confronted with the $980 overcharge, sent an email indicating a credit in 5-7 days to the debit card on file. Naturally, the card on file they used to charge me used the extended expiration date into 2023, but the one they used to CREDIT me was the original on file of 2020. So, without any discussion, they cut a check for $980 and sent it to my former address. I had given them the correct address but they did not use it. They sent it to the place I live a full 1.5 years ago, a vacant home, in another state. How dumb can you get? When I asked them to cut and overnight a new check they said they'd have to cancel the first check and then put it in regular snail mail all over again. So, here I am letting you know not to use HISCOX.

Truly spectacular jobs leading in the fields of customer Service, Retention, compassion and timeliness... is something none of the claims agents seems to even pretend having. Only initial call center people seem to care due to its in charge of new sales. Also take any turn around time and double it to just get you expectations aligned.

Hiscox We been paying Hiscox Inc

We been paying Hiscox Inc. for Commercial Insurance for our company since Feb 2021. On Aug 21, 2021, we had some stuff stolen from our trailer while working on a job. We filed a police report and on Aug 27, 2021, we sent them a list of the things that were taken along with the police report. The last email we got from them was on Aug 30, 2021, giving us the name of the person assigned to the claim. We've tried to talk to someone about the claim, but all we get is a new name and a voicemail. We've left a lot of voicemail messages and emails, but no one ever responds except for the people who answer the phone and transfer us to someone else. We don't know if this company is legit and we want to see some kind of result. If they're not legit, we want all the money they took from us for our premiums back.

Hiscox I made a claim with Hiscox Inc

I made a claim with Hiscox Inc. on January 9, 2022. On January 12, 2022, I got an email from *** saying she was my claim examiner and to send her claimant info and pictures. So, I did and she replied 7 days later on 1-19-22! I sent her an email on 1/30/22 asking about claim updates and got no response. I sent her another email on 2/2/22 and still no response. So, I called Hiscox a few days later to understand why this process was dragging like this. The customer service lady said someone would call me back and a guy did call me back and said his boss asked to call me on behalf of *** and updated my file with claimants info. About 14 days went by and I hadn't heard anything, and the claimant said she hadn't called him. So, I decided to call *** again, and she answered, saying she was at lunch and would call me back. And I never heard from her! This is ridiculous! This company takes money out of my bank account every month. I shouldn't be going through all these games from this company! Learn how to handle business ***!

Hiscox Hiscox is a company that has its main office in Bermuda (tax haven capital?

Hiscox is a company that has its main office in Bermuda (tax haven capital?; says a lot about their company). They also have an office in San Francisco that offers insurance policies in the US. My wife got liability insurance through them for one year; 12 months. After the policy ended they kept making unauthorized monthly charges on our bank account hoping we would never notice. They knew that the policy had an end date, and we did not authorize to renew with them after the expiration date. Our contact was for specific for one year only. We only caught on just recently; over a year later+ after our original policy should have ended. We never received a single letter in the mail, email, or phone call from Hiscox company in the two years they have been charging us. Not a single notification of a payment being processed or renewal letter. We would have caught on sooner if they did but this is their tactic. I called them and we we're not refunded for our year two policy which we never authorized for. There is a lot more to say but this company; they will lie, twist the truth, ignore you. They commit false charges, theft in my opinion. Their San Francisco office should be closed for dishonest service to the public.
