I orderd four boxes of chudder as a Christmas gift
I orderd four boxes of chudder as a Christmas gift. Only 1 box was deliverd and I was overcharged by about 100 dollars. I would not recomend buying from them again.
Total failur
Total failur.. never got order. Called and waited 37 mins to be DISCONNECTED. Emailed. A total of 6 times. Twice I received response saying THEY will call me. NEVER HAPPENED. Called again.. FINALLY talked to someone who promised it would be reshipped. NEVER GOT IT. *** and thieves.
I got a gift from someone who doesn't have much money
I got a gift from someone who doesn't have much money. I asked Hickory Farms if I could exchange it because I couldn't use it, but they said no. They don't allow returns or exchanges for anything. I didn't see anything about this on their website when I ordered, so I don't think it's even allowed in the , especially in California. Shame on you, Hickory Farms!
I ain't gonna order from Hickory Farms no more
I ain't gonna order from Hickory Farms no more. They sent me a gift basket that I ordered for a buddy, instead of sending it to him. When I called ***, they didn't even offer to send someone to pick it up and ship it to the right place. They just kept tryin' to prove that I was the one in the wrong. I ain't gonna order from them again, and you shouldn't either.
The customer service is terrible
The customer service is terrible. They just assume you bought something and knew it would expire soon, even though it clearly says it's a flash sale. Watch out, the expiration dates are not fair. You can buy almost the same things at *** for a quarter of the price and they have an expiration date of 2 years, while Hickory Farms only gives you 2 months.
Hickory Farms says they guarantee all their products 100%
Hickory Farms says they guarantee all their products 100%. They'll give you a refund or a replacement if you're not happy. But I bought something in December and when I tried to return it, they said no. I had asked the sellers in Chicago about it before I bought it, and they even gave me a return code. But then they changed their minds and canceled it. Their ads in Chicago and on their website still say they'll take care of any requests. They promise!
When I went to place an order that's in the catalogue as SHIPS FREE, they added a shipping cost of $12.95
When I went to place an order that's in the catalogue as SHIPS FREE, they added a shipping cost of $12.95. I called customer service and they said the item is no longer eligible for free shipping, even though the catalogue says free shipping is valid until 12/17 (today's date is 12/8). When I asked customer service which items still have free shipping, the rep said she didn't know. I asked to speak to a supervisor, but the call got disconnected. I'm going back to Wine Country Gift Baskets because they stick to their catalogues and have excellent customer service. I suggest you do the same.
Orderin online from Hickory Farms has been a total nightmare
Orderin online from Hickory Farms has been a total nightmare. I ordered 3 cheese balls and 3 summer sausage. They sent me 3 blocks of jalapeno cheese. When I call, they tell me a "specialist" will need to call me back. No one ever calls me back. I call again, wait on hold forever, again, and then am told that I will get a refund within 72 hours. No refund after 5 days. I call back. The next woman accuses me of havin received what I ordered and finally says she will "look into it". This was 3 days ago. Still no refund and still no cheese balls or sausage. I am very disappointed and will never do business with Hickory Farms again.
I bought two Deluxe Natural Gift Crates from Hickory Farms for 79.99, but they sent me a Savory and Spicy Snack Gift crate that costs 59.99
I bought two Deluxe Natural Gift Crates from Hickory Farms for 79.99, but they sent me a Savory and Spicy Snack Gift crate that costs 59.99. I called them on Dec. 10th and Dec. 18th when I received the wrong order. The agent gave me two dispute numbers: #HF0030831 & #HF0030835. She said they would check it out and send replacements. But now they're too busy to handle it. They charged me too much, and I want a refund. I won't order from Hickory Farms again. One mistake is a mistake, but two mistakes are a pattern. It's really disappointing. I had my Aunt and friend take pictures of what they got. Shame on you.
I ain't never gonna order from Hickory Farms again
I ain't never gonna order from Hickory Farms again. They're so sneaky! I ordered a gift basket for my friend for Christmas. They said it would come on or before Dec. 24. I placed the order on Dec. 15. But when I checked the package, they didn't even have it yet. I called them on Dec. 23 and found out the gift basket was still in their warehouse! I talked to their boss and she promised it would be overnighted. But guess what? It didn't happen. Now it's almost New Year and all they're saying is that the order is still pending. Watch out, this is the first and last time I'll ever order from them. They should be ashamed, taking my money and not delivering. Liza-NJ
Worst customer service ever!
Worst customer service ever! I placed an order on 11/21 with a delivery date of 12/9. I called on 12/9 to see where my package was and was told they had until midnight to deliver by a snippy customer service rep. Called again on 12/10 and was told the order was pending and to send an email to their customer service department because the phone rep could not see the ship info. Sent the email on the 12/10. Called again because no response from the email and was told they have 48 hours to respond. Emailed again on the 12/12 telling them I am waiting for a response. Called 12/13 and talked to another rep and she told me she contacted her supervisor and found it would be delivered 12/23. Told them to cancel the order as this was too late. They charged my credit card on 11/21! I have called my credit card company to dispute this charge as I have canceled the order. WORST experience ever. Do not recommend!
I bought two gift boxes from Hickory Farms for $112 to send to *** and ***
I bought two gift boxes from Hickory Farms for $112 to send to *** and ***. On the order page, you can pick a delivery date. This was great because both people I sent them to travel, and I wanted them to be home when the food arrived because some of it can go bad. But, to my surprise, I got an email saying the gifts had already been shipped, way before the dates I chose. I contacted customer service four times to tell them that the boxes would be sitting outside for at least a week before the recipients got home. Their "solution" was to first give me a refund for the shipping. That was funny because there was no shipping charge for the order. Then they said they would refund 10%. Sure, $12 will make up for $112 worth of gifts baking in the sun for a week. Oh, they also suggested I ask someone in the neighborhoods to pick up the gifts. I live in PA, so it's no surprise that I don't know anyone in the *** and *** neighborhoods where my friends live. I asked them to send the products again so they arrive on the right date. They said no. Their customer service is terrible.
I couldn't post my review 'cause the website ain't sendin' me no email to verify my email address
I couldn't post my review 'cause the website ain't sendin' me no email to verify my email address. On Nov 30, 2020, I bought two Christmas baskets that were the same, 'cause they said it would be cheaper if I got two. I wouldn't have bought two for $150 each, but I did 'cause they said it was a deal. One of the baskets got messed up, either in the warehouse or during shipping, and when it arrived, it was so wrecked that I couldn't use it. The whole order cost me $252.40 (see below), with $150 for the first basket and $75 for the second one, includin' shipping for both. That means each basket should've been worth $126.20. But when I called Hickory Farms, they said they wouldn't take it back or give me a refund for one of the baskets. When I told 'em about it, they emailed me and said to go on their website and pick another basket. I did that right away, but guess what? They were all "currently not available," which they probably knew when they told me to do it. Here's the order number and cost: Order Number: W00092264 Order Placed: 11/30 BILLING ADDRESS J# , AZ 85234 480-PAYMENT METHOD Other - $252.40 PAYMENT TOTAL Subtotal: $223.50 Shipping: $28.90 Sales Tax: $0.00 Order Total: $252.40
Me and my wife was meeting my parents for Thanksgiving at a new rental home
Me and my wife was meeting my parents for Thanksgiving at a new rental home. Haven't seen them in a year cuz of COVID, so I thought it would be less stress to order dinner from Hickory Farms. My mom ordered on Nov 15th for delivery on the 23rd. But guess what? Hickory Farms delivered it on the 20th, two days before we even got there. So some other lucky family got Turkey number 1. She called to cancel and order a new Turkey for the 24th. But Turkey number 2 never showed up and customer service said it was "canceled". So she ordered another Turkey for the 25th and they promised it would be overnighted. They also said a manager would call back soon to confirm. But guess what? No call, just an email at 3 AM on the 25th saying Turkey number 3 would arrive on Friday the 27th at 8 pm. That's not only a day after Thanksgiving, but we're leaving the rental house early the next morning. And to make it worse, Hickory wouldn't refund the order until the Turkey was delivered. Still waiting on that. And no one from Hickory has even bothered to apologize for ruining our Thanksgiving meal. They should at least give us a gift card to their website, but what's the point if we can't even get their stuff? If you want a stress-free holiday, don't go near this company.
I was shopping online on Black Friday and a Hickory Farms pop-up said I'd get 10% off my first purchase if I sent my email
I was shopping online on Black Friday and a Hickory Farms pop-up said I'd get 10% off my first purchase if I sent my email. But I didn't get the code they promised in my "Welcome Email". So I called customer service and they said it would automatically apply at checkout, but if it didn't, I should call back. Well, it didn't apply, so I called again and spoke to another employee. After some research and talking to others, they said the easiest thing to do was to complete my purchase and call back after 45 minutes to get a 10% credit. They left notes in my file about this. The next day, I called in the early afternoon and the agent read my file. He put me on hold for about 10 minutes to check with others. I didn't understand why he needed to check when I was already told I'd get a refund. When he came back, he said I couldn't get the credit because I already got a discount on the BOGO half off deal, and it was one or the other. Nowhere did it say on their website that discounts couldn't be used with the BOGO. I have pictures of their website where I clicked for more info on the BOGO, and it didn't mention this. I also have a picture of the 10% off submission, and it didn't mention any exclusions. I was upset because I completed my purchase expecting the credit. I asked to speak to a manager, but the agent said there wasn't one in the building. I asked to speak to someone in a lead position, but he said there wasn't anyone. I find this hard to believe. I think Hickory Farms falsely advertised by not indicating the exclusions for the promotions. I also think they should have honored their word since it was promised upon completing my order. I will never buy anything from Hickory Farms again. I'm surprised they're willing to lose a customer over $20 and all the people I'll tell about this experience. I started off impressed with their customer service, but now I'm disgusted that they denied me a promised discount and refused to let me speak to a manager. The promotion details didn't mention any exclusions. This whole experience was a failure in advertising and customer service.

I ordered from Hickory Farms on Saturday, 12/10/2022
I ordered from Hickory Farms on Saturday, 12/10/2022. It's still pending on my credit card, but they don't have any record of my order. I can't talk to a real person, only a recording. This is supposed to be a Christmas gift. I don't understand why it's on my credit card if they don't have any record of my order.
I got a gift basket from my Mother In Law, and it was worth about $100
I got a gift basket from my Mother In Law, and it was worth about $100. The package must have gotten hot or something, 'cause the chocolate was all melted and the meat and cheese went bad. They wouldn't give me my money back 'cause I threw it away without takin' a picture first. I asked 'em for a gift card instead so we could get a new one. I don't wanna get the same thing again 'cause it smelled bad and looked gross.
I bought a Christmas Gift Basket on 12/9, Order number W00619021
I bought a Christmas Gift Basket on 12/9, Order number W00619021. It got delivered on 12/14. My friend who got it called to thank me and said that the jam got all over everything and the crackers were squished. I told the company that I don't want a refund, but I want the product to be replaced and delivered as I ordered it. They said I need to send a picture for that to happen. I told them that she already cleaned up and threw away the broken glass. At this point, I just want a refund because I don't trust the company. But if they don't want to do that, then just replace the damaged gift box.

I've been tryin' to get myself off this company's mailin' list every year for like the past three years
I've been tryin' to get myself off this company's mailin' list every year for like the past three years. Every time I ask 'em, they say they gonna do it (but this year they ain't even botherin' to respond), and then when the holidays come 'round, they still send me their catalogs. I've tried contactin' 'em 'bout this issue again, and I even sent a data deletion request, but they ain't been gettin' back to me. I want all my info, includin' my address, deleted from their records and for 'em to take me off their mailin' list for good. At this point, their mailings ain't doin' nothin' 'cept remindin' me to never order from 'em again.
I want my money back for my order
I want my money back for my order. I ordered on 10/17 (Order Number: W00446262) for Christmas delivery. It said "shipped" since November , but no tracking number was given. I emailed Hickory Farms customer service on 12/23 to ask if my order would arrive by Christmas Eve. I paid $15.95 just for shipping, you know. Employee 'MarineI' said there was no tracking number as of 12/23. On 12/23 at 11:11 am, employee 'Regine' emailed me and said, "I checked your records and the gift item hasn't been shipped because you wanted it delivered on December 24." It's now 12/26, and still no tracking number, and the item never came. I want a full refund for this order.
Date Ordered: December 15, 2022 Order Number: W01142741 I ordered online from my residence in ***, *** 97062
Date Ordered: December 15, 2022 Order Number: W01142741 I ordered online from my residence in ***, *** 97062. I paid for it using my *** bank account. I have been living in *** for my entire life and I am a taxpayer here. It's worth mentioning that *** doesn't have a sales tax. However, to my surprise, Hickory Farms charged me a sales tax of $5.25 on this order that was supposed to have free shipping. I ordered two items, and each item was meant to be sent to a different address as personal Christmas gifts. One of the items was supposed to be shipped to ***. Strangely enough, Hickory Farms charged me sales tax on this particular purchase. I have sent more than 3 emails to Hickory Farms, but their response has been the same every time. They claim that they have a store in *** and that's why they can charge sales tax. I wonder where they will send this collected sales tax from an online buyer in ***? It's important to note that the other purchased Christmas gift didn't have any sales tax charged. I am still trying to get a refund of $5.25.
Hickory Farms at *** Mall (Seasonal)
Hickory Farms at *** Mall (Seasonal). I bought two "Holiday Traditions" boxed gift sets for Christmas (2021). When I opened them on 7/14/2022, I discovered that they had expired in March 2022. Am I being too naive to think that these should last a little longer than three or four months from the purchase date, considering they were Christmas gifts? Summer sausage, cheese, and crackers are meant to be eaten in the summer, right? I called the customer service hotline, and it was even more frustrating because they said that three months after purchase means it was still a good product until then. They wouldn't do anything about it, even after talking to the supervisor. No sympathy for the consumer. I expect this type of product to have an expiration date at least a year in the future. My theory is that they had old stock on the shelves and sold that to customers who usually don't check for that, as we expect it to be within a year or so. Each box cost $14.95, and I would like a refund or a replacement product.
On 11/28/22, I ordered seven gift packages from Hickory Farms
On 11/28/22, I ordered seven gift packages from Hickory Farms. Their website let me add multiple addresses, so I added them. I checked the address list and it showed up before I paid. I don't understand why their website didn't pick up ALL the addresses. They sent six gift packages to one customer. *** says, "They sent a confirmation with the addresses, so they can't pick up the packages. But they can send them to the right people, but they'll charge me the full cost." It's terrible that this organization wasn't willing to fix things. They basically said it's my fault because I should have looked at the confirmation and called before the items were shipped. So, it took me a few days to check their confirmation in my emails, but it probably wouldn't have made a difference. I'm just disappointed with their customer service department. When I asked to speak with someone higher up, the supervisor with ID #*** said there's no one higher to talk to about the issue. On top of that, I got two automatic emails apologizing but saying they can't solve the problem. Our organization will never use their services again.
I got a Hickory Farms gift basket in late October
I got a Hickory Farms gift basket in late October. It was sealed and you could see it had beef sticks, cheese, crackers, trail mix, mustards, and drinks. We know Hickory Farms and usually buy similar stuff during the holidays as gifts for others. When I opened the items in this basket, something seemed off and when I cut into the beef log, I realized it was mushy. Then I checked the other items and found out they were all expired. I called Hickory Farms right away on their 800 number and they told me to send photos. After I did everything they asked, they said they would contact me by phone or email. I waited. Called again a week later and went through the whole thing again. They said someone would get back to me. I waited. One week later, I called again, not happy to have to go through everything for a third time. Like before, they said someone would get back to me, but they didn't. After five weeks, I finally got a call and since I don't have proof of purchase, Hickory Farms doesn't think it's their responsibility to fix this expired basket (according to the service supervisor). I'm so disappointed in how Hickory Farms handled this. I can only imagine how someone we gave a Hickory Farms gift basket to would feel about us if they had to go through what I just did for the past 5 weeks.
Order # W00887867 was placed on October 1, 2022
Order # W00887867 was placed on October 1, 2022. We are requesting a refund of $96.36. My order was for $106.36, but the customer service manager only offered a measly $10 refund. We waited all year for the Hickory Farm Original Blend cheese *** to arrive. We ordered 9 cheese *** and they arrived warm. All the dry ice had melted and the cheese *** were packaged in a box meant for 4 regular-sized cheese ***. This made the difference in size very obvious. They are noticeably smaller. The price of the product and shipping went up, but the quality and quantity went down! When I finally reached their customer service, a manager told me that the website clearly states the size of the cheese ***. Technically, it does, but how am I supposed to remember how many ounces they used to be compared to how small they are now? The website should clearly state that due to the economy, the cheese *** are one full ounce smaller and that they are charging more for them and for shipping. Getting $10 off was insulting. These cheese *** do not taste the same. My husband thinks it's because they arrived warm and he doesn't want to eat them because they might be bad. They definitely don't taste the same. When I checked the ingredients, I was shocked to find out that there is no blue cheese in them. It's just blue cheese flavoring. Have they always been made this way? This company is cutting corners and their quality assurance department and marketing department are not doing their jobs. Good luck trying to reach customer service. The representative I spoke to sounded young and inexperienced. She only knew about the price change. I knew more about the product than she did. My husband wants a refund. We will never order from or recommend this company again. The product is inedible.
I orderd the Charcuterie & Wine Gift Basket on December 9 for my neighbor whose dad was sick
I orderd the Charcuterie & Wine Gift Basket on December 9 for my neighbor whose dad was sick. They said it would be delivered by December 18. On December 18, I got an email saying it was shipped (via ***) and the tracking number showed it was delivered on December 17. It was weird that they sent the email after it was already delivered. I asked my neighbors if they got it, but they didn't. I waited a few days, still no basket. I called Hickory Farms on December 22 and told them it wasn't delivered. They said it might have been stolen by "Porch Pirates," but that's unlikely since my neighbor lives in a gated condo area. Anyway, Hickory Farms offered to refund or resend the item. I asked them to resend it and went on with my holiday. I came back on December 29 and asked my neighbor again, but they still didn't get the basket. I called Hickory Farms again. They said the basket was sold out and they would refund my purchase. Fine. They said the refund would take 72 hours. Today, January 4, I called Hickory Farms again because I still haven't received the refund. I waited for 30 minutes to talk to someone. The lady I spoke to talked to her boss and said they hadn't approved the refund yet (they hadn't reviewed it yet, apparently). She said she saw her boss approve it and I should get it in 48 hours. I don't think I've ever complained to the ComplaintsBoard.com before. This is some of the worst service I've ever gotten from a company (online or offline). I've been dealing with them for almost a month now (and three calls).
I ordered 3 things from this company for Christmas gifts
I ordered 3 things from this company for Christmas gifts. On Dec 22nd, I checked my account and saw that one order was refunded. I called customer service and they said they didn't know why it was canceled. They put me on hold to look into it. Turns out, the warehouse canceled the order because they ran out. They didn't even tell me and my account was wrong. The customer service rep said his supervisor was sorry and they would ship the item for free. They said someone would follow up in 2 days, but I haven't heard anything as of Dec 29th. I called again and they said they couldn't track who I spoke with. The next rep said they wouldn't honor the free shipping, but they would give me 10% off if I ordered again. This is a joke! They need a logging system and they should follow through on their promises. It's sad that a company has such a bad process. We order from different companies for our employees and thought this would be a good one, but we were wrong. The emails I got when I complained were a joke. They just copied and pasted and changed some words. They refunded me, but don't promise to do extra if you won't.
I emailed about a problem I had with my order
I emailed about a problem I had with my order. I got the Signature Beef Sampler, but it wasn't in a separate box. The mailing label was stuck right on the box, which said it was a gift from someone else. I didn't send myself a gift, so now I can't give it to someone else. I asked for a refund or another Beef Sampler. They asked for pictures, so I sent them. They apologized for the problem and said they couldn't do anything about it. Their grammar was bad and basically said "tough luck."
I called and talked to Sunni, who couldn't help me. I told her that I buy $300-$500 worth of gifts every year, but I won't anymore if they can't be given as gifts. I asked for a supervisor, but Sunni said she didn't have one. I asked for someone else, but she said she was the only one there. I told her she wasn't helping me and asked who she reported to. She said she was the boss and didn't have anyone above her. I asked if she reported to the ***, and she said yes. I asked to contact the ***, but she said I couldn't. I asked for an employee number to file a complaint, but she said she couldn't give me anything to identify her. That's not true. Every call center has an ID number for management purposes. She refused to transfer me, couldn't help me, lied about not having an ID number, and lied about not having a boss. It was the worst customer service experience. I want a refund or another box without a mailing label. I took off the label and ruined the box.

My wife and I were meeting my parents for the week of Thanksgiving at a rental home. I have not seen my parents for a year due to COVID and wanted to minimize the stress of cooking a full meal at a new home, so I suggested this dinner for Thanksgiving. My mom placed an order on Nov 15th to be delivered on the 23rd. Hickory Farms instead delivered it on the 20th, two days before we even arrived. So some lucky family gets Turkey number 1. She then called to have this charge canceled and order a new Turkey to be delivered on the 24th. Turkey number 2 never arrived and customer service showed the order as "canceled". She placed another order for a Turkey to arrive on the 25th which she was assured would be overnighted. She was also promised that a manager would call back shorty to confirm this order. At 3 AM on the 25th after never receiving a call, she received an email stating that Turkey number 3 would arrive on Friday 27th at 8 pm. For those of you keeping score at home, this is not only a day after Thanksgiving, but we leave the rental house early the next morning. To top this all off, Hickory originally refused to refund this final order until the Turkey had been delivered. This final point is still awaiting resolution. At no step has a representative of Hickory taken the initiative of reaching out and apologized for ruining our Thanksgiving meal. I would suggest at minimum a gift card to their website, but what's the point if you can never receive their product? If you value a stress free Holiday, please stay clear of this company.
