my daughters trip from barstow California to jackson michigan

The service was so bad and so unpredictable, the bus leaving out of Lubbock was delayed, so my granddaughters got on another bus as directed by Greyhound staff, only to have to sit and wait several hours, and then was never told that there was not going to be a bus that evening, that they would have to spend the night in the bus station until the morning. that information was told to them by a bus driver who was coming from the opposite direction. They then had to get on their phones and re -schedule the booking ticket. there was no one at the station to help anyone. I am so upset with Greyhound, for so many reasons. The rudeness, the lack of safety, the dis-concern for anyone, even those with small children. What had happened to this company? there was a time when you could depend on a bus ride from cross country. now I will not even allow my DOG to ride your bus line. Something has got to change. people want to feel safe and what to know they can depend on a ride from a dependable bus company, that is no longer yours.

Greyhound stealing money from customers to line their pockets
I will make this my last long distance ride with greyhound. You guys are liars and thieves and I am done with you. When enough people stop riding your bus then maybe you will wake up and stop over booking and if a seat is available why should I pay extra. I purchased a ticket to Raleigh NC today September 29, 2023 asked for seat 12d and was told I had to pay extra even though the seat was available. Ticket number [protected]. Explain to me why I have to pay more. On alot of the busses the sockets don't properly work, I have medical issues that I need to be closer to bathroom. Yet that wasn't a concern of greyhound the only concern you have is getting money. I have been using greyhound for over 50 years and there has been issues I have dealt with including being rained on while traveling. I'm just tired of it so I have to find another way to travel. If you want to be like the airports take some of the money and put it back into your busses. On the plane I'm offered something to drink on greyhound you are offered nothing but a seat that you didn't ask for. Your agent had the nerve to tell me work it out when you get on bus. Is that your policy? I am disgusted with your company and service. I take ground cause it's easier for my family to pick me up but after this trip I have to find another way. So AM TRACK here I come. I will never refer anyone to greyhound and I will discourage anyone who asks me if greyhound is a good way to travel. Greed is a terrible thing to focus on instead of making a customer happy. August 18, 2023 on my return trip from Resorts Atlantic City to Washington, DC it was discovered that another person (a man) was also assigned Seat 2B (which was my assigned seat). Therefore, the person assigned seat 2A had to find somewhere else to sit. This is not only ridiculous, but also dangerous; especially when we’re living in a climate rampant with gun violence. Unlike traveling by plane, it’s hard to know if someone on the bus has a gun or not. I pray that I am not in this situation again and it turns out differently than it did this time. Again, this is a dangerous mistake to make. You do not know what the consequences will be because you don’t know who you’re dealing with or what type of person you’re dealing with. Or, is this the way you increase your bottom line? I asked the driver (Mr. Smith) if this type of occurrence were common and he said it is, as if it were no big deal. Pathetic. Needless to say, I have not rode a Greyhound Bus since.

stole my baggage and school books and greyhound is not helping me get them back ... i need them shipped to me or else i will have to forfit my semster of college tuition as i cannot afford to repurchase all the luggage they misplaced or lost and will not send ..the communication for the direction of detroit bus driver was awful. they never awser the phones and all the communication via email seems to be automated ! who do they have working these places ?! nobody ? i will never take greyhound again and will continue to share my story unless this issue is resolved

Customer service/seating issues
First of all I booked this reservation on August 5th and i choose seats 9A and 9 B for myself and my husband so we could sit together. I PICKED those seats the website allowed me to pick them! We booked well in advance and received an invoice and receipt for our seats and reservation. Hours before our trip we received a email our seats were unassigned out of nowhere. Then sent a new ticket with no seats! How can you just unassigned our seats hours before our trip. I tried reaching out to the customer service number that is online, they were no help. I had to fill out a feedback survey and wait for them to reach back out to me. When they did they informed me they would not honor my reservation we booked in advance and informed us we never choose they seats they were auto generated, they actually were not. I went back and forth with the so called "customer service" they were absolutely no help not do they have a number to really call for immediate response. They just kept sending generic responses. This company is a scam i will never support them again. This now means we have no clue if we have seats at all. This is absolutely ridiculous.

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the compensation offered for the hours-long delay of my Greyhound bus ride from Orangeburg, SC to NYC on July 25, 2023 due to the police being called for an unruly passenger.
I understand that bus delays can happen for unforeseen reasons, but I am disappointed that your bus company offered me only a 10% discount on my next trip. This is not an adequate compensation for the inconvenience and stress that I experienced.
I had to reschedule several appointments and meetings due to the delay, and I also had to pay for additional accommodation and meals. I am still not sure when I will be able to take my next trip, so the 10% discount is of no use to me.
I believe that a full refund would be more appropriate compensation for this situation. I would also like an apology from your bus company for the inconvenience that I experienced.
In addition, I am appalled that you are only giving me until October 2023 to use the discount. This is completely unreasonable. I may not be able to take another trip until much later than that.

The service & communication was not good
The week following August 7, 2023, I purchased a ticket for my uncle from SC to CA for over $300. We used GPS to find the bus bench at a barely marked gas station. It was the wrong stop. We didn't know Greyhound had many stops around the city; all barely marked as a bus stop. A bus did pull up, but they kept saying he couldn't ride it. We couldn't get a refund. We were just out of $300; oh well tough luck. Greyhound would not reimburse nor let him ride a different bus. I had to purchase a second ticket for over $300, make sure he was at the right gas station bench, and then he had to wait over 8 hours for the next bus. This is Wrong. It's not about customer service. It's about "we're taking your money, tough luck, it's your own fault! Greyhound makes too much money to treat people this way. I hope I never ever have to use Greyhound again! Senior citizens that are not tech savvy don't know all the little quirks and details about this company and how they operate but often may have no other choices. Greyhound should care more about its customers and treat them better, after all if everybody stopped using Greyhound, it wouldn't be in business.
Desired outcome: I want my $300 back. Since they wouldn't accommodate the rider any other way, they shouldn't just take people's money that way!

I was supposed to ride with greyhoundbut they delayed my bus and made me miss one to my next destination I've been polite trying to get my money back there's no reason I need a voucher I need My money back! This is ridiculous it's not my fault it's greyhounds I never even made it to my destination because of Grey hound I just want my money back not a voucher. Customer service, experience and safety concerns
I would like to begin and say I have traveled with Greyhound before without problems; however, my experience this past weekend has made me not want to ever use their service ever again. My trip was from NYC to Atlantic City. I feel like that was an important detail.
Firstly, the bus smelt like old urine. The other passengers and I complained to the service agent checking us in and the bus driver who continuously ignored us and passed the responsibility off to the next person. I don't know if anyone is aware of this but sitting in an enclosed space with circulated air with stale urine can do to one's health but I'm sure it is not pleasant.
This will be my last time traveling with this company. The service agents are rude, the company must not train them on proper customer service. Because they were lacking compassion and overall patience for the situation. Also, why do we have to pay a convenience fee when booking tickets at a station when the option of purchasing with an agent is not an option or available.
Overall, I will not recommend this line or them to anyone moving forward. Also, they no longer have anyone to handle complaints and pass most of their responsibility off to a third party company, FLIX Bus.
Also, taking my concerns to Twitter are pointless because both direct message features are not accessible. I'm sure that it is purposeful.

I booked a bus via Greyhound for Aug 25, from Los Angeles (Hollywood /
Highland)- 1658 N Orange Dr, 90028 Los Angeles to San Jose Downtown. The bus was scheduled for 11:45am and I reached at 11:31am.
I reached the exact address provided to me in my ticket which I have mentioned above. There were 2 other passengers waiting there for the same bus as well.
We tried to track the bus but the tracker provided by you guys was showing no data for this bus.
Further, we called customer care as it was 12pm and the bus had still not come. The customer care very rudely just said that the bus has left which is impossible as there was no bus that even crossed that road from 11:30am to 12pm.
We were standing there till 12:30pm and there was no sign of any bus and your customer care was very irresponsible and careless in guiding us. They did not care to even update us the status.
Clearly, there was no bus that was functional as no bus crossed that road and there was no data on the tracking app as well.
So I request a refund for the bus from LA to San Jose.
Desired outcome: I want a refund for the same.
The condition of the bus, the lateness hour and half late, rudeness and driving
As five of us proceeded to get on bus the driver was very rude and I had my handicapped mother with me with whom I had a hard time getting on bus. We had just missed our train coming off of a cruise. i sat her down in the handicapped seat in the beginning of bus. She was mad about that and I explained that I had not been on a bus in years and did not know we had assigned seats.. On the 18th of this month, Greyhound was to pick me up along with 35 other passengers at 11:55am. never showed up, the reps there had no idea what was going on, they did try to call, but got nowhere. 2hr later bus showed up but didn't allow anyone on due to no a/c and 90 degrees inside the bus. this was heard by all of us. So bus left and they said it would be fixed. Never came back, not any updates provided by staff since they were left in the dark. After 4hrs, I gave up. I was heading to albq for my nephews funeral who just died. I was to speak there. I was robbed of doing my family duty. My Nephew, Josh Sickels service was conducted 10am 19 Aug at Covenant Church if you wish to confirm. Then they offered me a voucher which wasn't even the full amount. NO amount of vouchers can make up this loss. I request the entire 184 dollars be refunded along with 26 dollars reimbursement for gas down to Union Station. THATS WHEN IT came clear to me to GREYHOUND IS A SCAM STAY AWAY. And without my consent After contact about a full refund. I was reissued a bus ticket whilest I was sourcing and being helped by a real traveling company.

For two roundtrip tickets purchased on the same date with same destination.
I purchased the said tickets on July 3, 2023. Reason for the two purchases: I didn't know that you could purchase seats until I completed the purchase of the initial ticket. I read the frame that reads cancelation and cancel the ticket but I couldn't find how to complete it. I reordered a second ticket and filled in the section for the seats. They were billed to my PayPal Account. The ticket with the seats was used, and the other ticket was not because of the same date and destination. I checked my Pay Pal Account and saw the two charges: The traveled one was Booking number [protected], seat 2D Date of Travel: Monday, July 3, 2023, and return Date Monday, July 10, 2023. I contacted Greyhound via chat on their website and asked for a refund of the unused ticket they told me that I purchased a non-refundable ticket and I replied that I didn't know that because I didn't see that initially. I wanted to speak with an agency and it was difficult to reach one, I finally found one and they told me the same thing and told me they could issue me a Voucher, and in addition, if I had purchased a Refundable ticket, then I could get a refund for the second ticket. I told them that I never read that before making the purchase, If I had known that there was an option before purchasing the ticket then I could make a decision but they said they could not refund me and the ticket was good for a year and they could give me a Voucher to use for another trip. I explained to the agent that I was a missionary pastor in Jamaica and couldn't travel at any time. I saw that I wasn't getting through, therefore I contacted FlixBus Lines that are a part of Greyhound, they were very nice with their response, and told me after checking since I purchased the ticket through Greyhound, they would be the company to reissue the refund. They gave me an 800 number to call with options, I selected option 6, A first-time rider, the agent told me I couldn't get my money back because their policy doesn't refund nonrefundable tickets and I could get a Voucher to use within 15 minutes before travel. I told her that I didn't read that policy when I was purchasing the ticket(s) I only saw those policies after the purchasing and learned about the refundable tickets too. To me the policies are misleading. I told the agent I only want the refund of $127.55 because I need the money and don't have money to give away. That is my Complaint/grievance and was hoping for some leniency, they said that's their policy, thus I'm out of a refund. I'm begging help if possible. Thank you.
