i went on gcflearnfree.org and i gotta say, i'm not a fan of the new look. it's all different and i can't find any of the classes i used to take. like, what happened to them? i'm trying to learn some new stuff but there's no way to tell when the classes start. it's all confusing now. i hope they fix it soon cuz i really liked this site before.

I'm almost done with the Excel Program on GCFGlobal and I gotta say, it's pretty darn good. I mean, what more could you ask for? It covers everything from the basics to the more complicated stuff, so you can really get a handle on the program.

And the best part? Once you're done, you can decide if you wanna keep learning somewhere else or even become certified by Microsoft. But honestly, after finishing this course, you should be able to use Excel like a pro and find some sweet gigs to put your skills to use.

This website is totally awesome! It's called GCFGlobal (gcflearnfree.org) and it's run by a non-profit organization that wants to teach you all sorts of basic computer and internet skills, like how to use MS Office 2007, math, and other everyday skills like how to go shopping or cook in the kitchen. And the best part? It's all totally free!

The style of the website is super casual and welcoming, and there are over 200 video courses to choose from. Even though the training is basic, there's no talking down to you and you can take your time going through the courses. They cover everything from setting up a Facebook page or using FireFox, to collecting a prescription or operating a vending machine, to writing a job application. Basically, they cover all the areas where you might need some help to make your life easier and more enjoyable.

The courses are really interactive and use Flash to make them engaging. They're just challenging enough to make you think, but not so hard that you get frustrated. For example, the course on reading a bus map is really simple, but it still involves clicking and dragging things and making decisions based on what you see and hear. Once you've planned your route, you get to see a first-person view of walking up to the bus stop. The graphics are really cool and hand-drawn, which makes it easy on the eyes.

Some of the courses are even accredited, which means you can earn credits for completing them. And when you finish a course, you get a certificate to show off your new skills!

If you or someone you know needs to improve their literacy or life skills to get a job or just get through everyday life, this website is a fantastic resource. It's totally outstanding!
