Contractors beware! This company will hire you to perform tasks for them and then not pay you. I was hired to do drywall repairs, texture and paint on 2 separate properties by Gateway Home Services and they have not paid me for these task or returned my several messages or phone calls. It has been almost 2 months and I cannot seem to get a response from the local representative or their main office. I had done work for them in the past with no issues but something has happened within the company or this may be their normal shady business practice. I paid out of pocket for the materials to do these projects and it is a shame they cannot pay for the services received. The clients as well as their local representative in my area complimented the work and were very satisfied with the job. All previous jobs were paid in a timely manner but now nothing. I would advise anyone to stay away from this company if you are looking for work.

I hired Gateway Home Services in October to fix some drywall in my living room. I paid them $350 upfront, but they found water damage and stopped the job. They said I needed a new roof and billed me an additional $2,750 and $1,350. They didn't give me any itemized quotes, so I don't know what I paid for. The drywall and hardwood floor repairs they did were terrible. The drywall had dings, dents, and tape lines all over it. They didn't remove the crown molding or baseboard like they said they would, and they didn't treat the wall void with moldicide. They also didn't paint the ceiling correctly and missed a lot of spots. They were supposed to do more hardwood floor work and porch work, but they only did a small portion of it. They promised to replace my paint, but now they won't. They also didn't protect my floors or the rest of my house from drywall dust and paint. They offered to forgive the balance, but they won't pay for damages or paint.
