Etsy I'd like a human being to contact me and help me resolve my problem with registering with plaid and I want my shop restored.

After 12 years as a seller (and buyer) on Etsy, with a 4.9 customer satisfaction rating, my shop was closed and I was banned from the platform with no explanation other than not meeting their "terms of service."

Etsy recently required shop keepers to verify their bank accounts with Plaid. I could not get Plaid to accept my bank account, the one I have been using with Etsy for all 12 years. I followed all the directions, including contacting my bank and contacting Etsy and even trying to contact Plaid. No luck.

Etsy however didn't respond to my requests for help other than to send me the same directions I had already followed. Any request for more help was followed by silence. There was a deadline: they said that if you didn't verify with Plaid, your account would be suspended.

I filed several pleas for help. I finally complained about being ignored. I just received a letter which simply banned me — for good.

I'm currently awaiting a refund from an Etsy seller — and have no idea how I will ever receive it since I have no account!

I would like an explanation.

Etsy Terrible customer service

I placed an order for a music box #[protected] for $231.21 with Ismael on the 30th October 2022. as per attachment screen shots of my messages, Ismael assured me that he would have the box finished in a week. I also paid extra express shipping on the 02/11/22 as advised and set up by Ismael to ensure that the music box would get to me on time before a very special occassion. I expressed to Ismael that this is for a christening for my God Son, so it is obviously very important to me. He continued to send me messages saying that he would have it completed ASAP (all messages are in my account under Jodie smith ([protected]@yahoo.com. sg, mb: [protected])

Ismael communicated every time saying that he would have it done asap, messaging me again on the 2/11/22, he was going to send me the audio file, but I got nothing. Sent another message saying he would complete it on the 05/11/22, but he did not. Then monday 06/11/22 he sends a strange message saying he doesn't have enough information. When I replied telling him I sent the music file when I ordered it on the 30/11/22, and I thought he would have already sent the box. He responds annoyed saying this is impossible and cancelled the entire order, 3 days before the Christening. This has got to be the worst customer service and dishonest thing I have ever experienced. It has turned me off Etsy. Are the reviews on Etsy false? if this is the type of sellers you attract, I am happy to shop elsewhere. So disappointing.

Desired outcome: I would like a full refund within 2-5 days , so this should be in my account by the 15th November 2022 andI would like Etsy to contact this seller and warn him of his disgusting conduct.

Etsy Clara’s Closet Crafts/Breyauna Holloway

I purchased 5 China dinner plates and o e platter from this shop with supposedly free shipping. The items came poorly packaged in a flimsy diaper box and ALL THE PLATES were broken.

I paid $64 plus $17.05 POD.

I asked the owner for a refund and she refused and was completely rude and unprofessional!

She told me it was USPS fault and to file with them for $50 insurance which doesn’t cover the cost of items plus the shipper has to do this and she should be the one to file with them and take the $50 and refund my $81.05.

Etsy Etsy

They closed my account and despite me contacting them repeatedly, they have never reoopened my account!

I have pa-id a marketer over £200 to help me set up my Etsy shop professionally and teach me about the algorithms, etc.

Such a waste of my efforts, time and money.

I am SO DISAPPOINTED with Etsy!

They have never followed through with that they have said they would do- including sending me a deposit to approve or get back to me within the short time frame stated by Etsy.

Sad it has come to this as I am no longer able to sell my Christmas cards which have taken me a long time to get together, along side my full time job!

Desired outcome: Reopen my account as soon as possible.

Etsy Micro managing, making it impossible to comply

First off, (well not FIRST - Etsy has been steadily going downhill for a while!) etsy requires sellers to register with a shady company (Plaid) that has/had major security issues. Then why I try to comply, they make it impossible, won't link my bank, tell me the codes I entered were incorrect - they weren't - then suspended my account. Then it is virtually impossible to contact a real person, so now I have no recourse. Stay away. You're better off selling on other platforms. Not only have they lost me as a seller, they have lost me as a customer as well!

Etsy Financial institution

This is the problem I am have if for over two years now. I m getting no answers or help. I am not able to update my financial institution. Now it has been suspended. I have explained my situation several times. I am beyond irritated with this situation! It would be very nice if I could talk to someone about this situation. The trouble shooting advice I am being given is not working. Nothing is getting resolved. This has been going on for way to long.

Etsy Seller extremely unhelpful awful customer service

Etsy Locked out of my etsy account for weeks!!

Four weeks ago, I was locked out of my Etsy account for no known reason and can not get a customer service representative to complete the process of reopening my account, despite me providing security information to them twice now!

They are taking weeks at a time to respond to my support requests but they just suggest the same things and it's always a new customer representative getting in touch, who clearly has no idea of what I have already provided! I have also been asked to change my password which I have done as well as approve a small fund in my account, which I can no longer do as I can not get into my account.

Please help as soon as possible!?

I am really frustrated as I have missed my opportunity to sell my Christmas cards and there is no phone number or web chat to actually speak to a human customer representative. I have worked really hard around my full time job, to get account up and running properly.

I am very disappointed in Etsy as a service and will not be recommending them if they do not help as they should.

It really has been an appalling service from them!

Desired outcome: To reopen my account as soon as possible as I have done everything asked of me!?

Etsy Order No. [protected]

8/30/22 Ordered Lion Sitting on The Pedestal made of marble powder, bronze, handpainted for $80.00 plus 19.97 shipping. Credit card was charged 99.97.

What I didn't see on the confirmation was that the order was changed to a rubber latex lion...invoice stated unit was with shipping was $77.40. Didn't get anywhere with Amy who I replied to on the shipped email. Now on their web, it

states the lion I actually ordered is out of stock. I'm due a refund of $22.57. What are my chances of getting that? Totally dissatisfied with this whole situation. I ordered one thing, then it was switched on the confirmation which I didn't notice. This is a worthless piece of latex.

Desired outcome: I would like an apology and a check for $22.57.

Etsy Order No's. #[protected] & #[protected]

Order ending 054 - I wish to return the medium and large sizes, keeping the XL.

Order ending 894 - I wish to return the large size, keeping the XL.

Both orders were supplied by MonarchicStore. I have contacted them several times requesting details of where to return the unwanted items. So far, they have told me that I need to return them to China but have provided no further details, such as address etc.

Desired outcome: I would like a response and an apology plus the details of where to return the unwanted items and ultimately a refund.

Etsy Temporary Suspended Account

My account/store is temporarily suspended for listing fees. I've paid the listing fees but it was through the "Close Account/Shop" section. This was the only way to pay the .40 balance.

Customer service is non-existing. I have all the names of the ones who were of no help on the basic level. They kept transferring to different departments. And this was through the chat line. And now the chat line seems not to exist anymore and I have to use email to get in touch with someone from the company.

To make matters worse, when using email it tells you it will take 1-2 days to get a response. However, I got an email from Raven saying it'll take about 7 days to get a response from anyone at the company. SEVEN DAYS?! That is seven days too long.

Etsy needs to do better concerning customer service.

Could someone please help me with this issue?!

I just saw that my issue has been marked as "resolved". It has not been resolved. My account is STILL suspended and now, the chat line has been DISABLED.

This is a billion-dollar company and yet, they cannot get decent customer service? Anything that anyone is saying on here about this company is NOT defamation but the truth.

I really want to get this company the benefit of the many doubts that are being said about it but Etsy is NOT doing its job.

My issue has NOT BEEN RESOLVED! My account is STILL SUSPENDED.

Etsy, reinstate my account/shop, please.

Etsy Historic defamatory customer review

Due to personal issues my Etsy shop has been on Holiday mode since late last, year and I have not looked at either the shop manager or the public page, as my intention at the time was not to reopen the shop in the foreseeable future until all issues were resolved, when I went to remove this mode and reopen my shop yesterday I was horrified to read the following review left on 15-12-2021.

Avoid this seller waited approximately 8 weeks nothing turned up, had to open a case with etsy, wouldn't answer messages calls nothing. Disgusting seller should be thrown off all selling platforms. Nasty dishonest person."

Not once in my 69 years as a person, or my 20 years as a seller, has my honesty ever been questioned, I have never been, or been accused of being 'rude' to a customer, this is not how I do business.

On reading this review I reached out to the customer, perhaps on this occasion I could have worded my response better, but it was honest and heartfelt at the time and I stand by what was said. I had intended to paste below all messages between the customer and myself but as the supposedly improved messaging system, designed to combine all messages on the one thread appears to delete originals and only show the last five and, said messages do not appear to be being sent through the email system, there is no record of the initial message and several of the responses, I think the customer will likely be breathing a sigh of relief as they contain several statements that can be proven to be untrue.

My request is that the review in question be removed and notification sent to the customer that this sort of review/ language is not acceptable, it is public deformation of character and punishable by law, should Etsy decline to follow up on this, I will consider them complicit.

Etsy Ordering gift cards / customer service

Tried to order gift cards for my daughter. Order went through, 5 days later, I get an email about it being canceled. I contact customer support, they ask me five questions. I answered them thinking everything will be taken care of...Nope. Email from a different customer support responds with me being banned permanently. Really! This is how you treat customers. No response from them for days now. Order # [protected]

Desired outcome: Reinstate my account that was banned for apparently no reason and fix your gift cards.

Etsy Payment not received; permanently suspended account without explanation; no response to emails

I have had an account with etsy since 2014. Recently, Etsy had tried to deposit $156 in my account balance. The transaction failed because I had changed the bank account linked to etsy (same bank, different account #). I went through the steps with etsy to link a new bank account and received an email confirming the new link. Subsequently, however, etsy froze my account because of unspecified "security" issues and has not deposited the balance of $156. I have repeatedly asked through email and chat for more information. I received two emails that asked for answers to five simple questions. I sent the emails, but nothing. No response from Etsy support. Days and days, still nothing. And even more recently, I received--out of the blue--and email informing me that my account has been "permanently suspended" because of violation of selling policies. Now, I have only two items on etsy: a small antique mirror and miniature ceramic salt shakers from the 1930s. There are over 5,000 mirrors for sale on etsy. I have no idea how I could have violated selling policies especially because I pattern each listing after existing ones--and I have had no problems for the past eight years.

Desired outcome: Etsy deposits to my bank account the stranded balance of $156.

Etsy My Shop

I set up a shop on Etsy selling jade bracelets, rings and seashell buttons late August and made my first sale in September. Almost immediately after that, Etsy suspended my account then deleted it about two days later. I opened a case and asked why it was suspended and then deleted and they gave me no answer. Etsy has the worst customer service by far next to Lyft. Every time I submitted the information they requested they gave me a different customer service agent, who needed to be filled in or who asked me for proof that I was the account holder. And even now no one will get back to me about the matter. My shop on Etsy was deleted without explanation and I want to know why specifically it was deleted. Then I would like it reinstated.

Desired outcome: I'd appreciate a response and an apology for this whole problem

Etsy Etsy Seller Protection Policy- A Bluff!

Recently as a Seller I was unfortunate to have a couple of orders lost by a Currier last month, and one refund request due to a claim that the order was not as described (which was barely true).

I was happy to learn that I will be covered by a Etsy Seller Protection since my orders and my account were fully Eligible according to that policy.

I had followed the instructions minutely and got the receivers to open up a case, which shortly got "refunded" by Etsy Team.

I was over the moon.

Imagine my surprise that a few days later my account got suspended due to unpaid fees!

It turns out that only one of the orders got refunded by Etsy team and the other 2 orders (1 of which was identical to the first one- as they got ordered together at the same time and got lost by same Currier) were "refunded" by Etsy team but out of my account, without me even knowing that my money was used by Etsy to pay the refund! And further they suspended my account because I had $150 outstanding balance on my account.

I have emailed the team to find out why I've not been covered for these orders' refund whilst I was fully eligible to qualify for the protection and did everything correctly, and the answer I got:

"As for order number [protected], for case [protected], the reason as to why this refund was covered by Etsy was because your account was still in good standing.

And as for the other 2 orders, the reason as to why it wasn't covered by Etsy because your shop wasn't considered to be in good standing, the order didn’t qualify for Etsy Purchase Protection and a refund was issued."

I have further asked to explain why my account wasn't considered in "good standing" for the other two orders, and only got a petty generic answer and a link to the policy (which I have read over and over again about 10 times now).

In conclusion, I have not gotten any valid explanation as to why they only refunded one order and not the other. My assumption is only that the Etsy Seller Protection policy is a Big Bluffer!

I am lead to believe that the guidelines of the Etsy Seller Protection are somewhat misleading, and therefore dangerous to the community, because if followed the accounts can conclude in unexpected outstanding fees, leaving sellers in debt without an ability to pay the fees. And hence losing their shops after years of working them up.

I believe this should be brought to attention and solved, avoiding misfortunes to many affected small Sellers like myself being mistreated and taken advantage of.

Etsy money stolen

I sold two tables on Etsy.

Etsy put the money into an account closed by Chase bank long before thus rejected the deposit.

I have a copy of the rejection letter from Chase testifying to the fact that they DID send payment back to Etsy as I did not have an account there.

Etsy then billed me for their service despite not having sent payment to the correct account. Instead, incredibly I was told future payments would go to the correct account. Of course, I will not pay any fees as I never received payment for the tables I sold.

I have communicated this to customer service online many times and Etsy ignored all requests.

I have thankfully found legal assistance to help me as I am low income and clearly been stolen from.

Desired outcome: I am demanding that Etsy send the money it collected for MY tables and has yet to pay me. This is absolute theft. I intend to file suit with damages if I do not finally hear back with something conclusive from Etsy.

Etsy store suspended unable to close my store andaccount

two months before accused of selling prohibited eye and lip care. I HAVE NEVER TRADED,FORMULATED OR SOLD EYE AND LIP CARE.

after 6 years of not making a profit, soaring "fees" and unauthorized refunds to customers who did not revived shipments which were in USPS possession at time of loss, they have compensated customers without my permission from my account.

I now want to close the account and also the store, I am unable to . HOW CAN WE STOP THEM?

Seems very bizarre. I have had my hand-crafted amber bracelets not shown because they were a copyright infringement and my own creation and have been sold across three marketplaces prior to coming to Etsy. They offered no evidence to substantiate their claim only that their decision was final. Very bizaar.

Etsy Charged card, no merchandise received.

I ordered a figurine from Etsy. I thought it was from their seller Salty Dawg Creation. I ordered it on 7/13/2022. I was scheduled to arrive 8/13/2022. When it didn't arrive in September I emailed them for a credit on my account. They then sent me a copy of my confirmation Which they hadn't sent before. I ordered as a guest so they could not look up my order because I didn't have an account. I gave them all the information they asked for to locate the order. So

went to my bank and asked them to file a dispute for the money taken from my debit card. Their dispute was declined by Etsy. So again i sent an email to Salty Dawg Creation. They told me again to go back to the bank. The bank sent the information back and said since the dispute was already declined there was nothing they could do. I have all the paperwork. I was charged $118.40 for something I never received. Etsy refused to credit my card. All I want is my money back. Please help.

Etsy The blanket was faded,wrinkled and uncomfortable

I bought a blanket here on Etsy and it came very faded and peeling. The blanket was very thin and flimsy in texture. It was wrinkled and uncomfortable to sit under. Not warm and cozy. I usually don't buy items made in China. Bought a different one not long ago it to was sub standard. I returned it and got a refund . I was able to find some items else where that I liked . All I wanted was to purchase some AKA merchandise for my birthday. I was very disappointed in the blanket . I try to support Black Owned businesses and encourage my sorors and friends to do the same. I feel that everyone needs to be aware of the different companies and refund policies.

Desired outcome: I would like to return it for a refund please
