I gotta tell ya, folks, steer clear of this Russian company called Emerging Travel. They're the ones behind Zen Hotels and a bunch of other shady operations. Let me tell you, they're as fraudulent as they come, so don't even think about trusting your precious card details on their websites. It's a recipe for disaster, my friends.
Warning: Zen Hotels Cancels Reservations Without Notice, No Resolution Yet
Emerging Travel, the owner of Zen Hotels, is a third-party booking site based in Cyprus. If the parent company allows such incidents to occur to customers, it is likely that they operate in a similar manner. Consider yourself warned.

I have a hotel room booked and fully paid for with a confirmation and booking number. I have emailed and called Zen Hotels. I spoke with a representative from Zen Hotels who was very polite and helpful. They assured me that they would contact the hotel and resolve this issue. However, according to the hotel, my reservation was canceled without any notice to me. I am currently waiting to hear back from them via phone or email. Today is May 22, and I am supposed to check into The Fairmont San Juan on May 28.
If Zen Hotels manages to fix my room problem, I will definitely increase my Star review. I will provide an update on how my problem was resolved so that everyone will know what to expect from this company.
The representative from Zen Hotels confidently assured me that this problem would be resolved and that I would be placed at the property I originally booked, along with seven other families. I explained that I have non-refundable airline tickets, prepaid excursions, and dinners. The representative assured me that the company will "make this right." I have faith in him, Zen Hotels, and their ability to rectify this situation.
As I mentioned before, I will amend this review to inform everyone about the resolution.
Please keep your fingers crossed and say a prayer.
UPDATE: It is 9:30 on 5/26. My flight is scheduled for 5/28 at 6:00 am. I still have not received a resolution from Zen Hotels. The service representatives are friendly, but they have not resolved the problem. I still have all of my non-refundable flights, excursions, and dinners, but I have NO PLACE TO STAY. I have discovered that they book through BIG POINT and are part of the EMERGING TRAVEL GROUP.
They asked for a photo below, I guess if they don't provide me with the room I paid for in full months ago, I can always post a picture of myself and my son sleeping on the beach at night... sigh
I will provide another follow-up...
