Friendly and knowledgeable staff. We needed to split an existing circuit into two separate circuits, plus add a new circuit, into a 100+ year old house. EarlyBird took extra time to think through the least destructive way to accomplish this, and actually ended up not having to open any walls (which meant I had no patching to do). Very happy with the final result.

Mark was super professional, thorough, knowledgeable and helpful. I feel really fortunate it was him who answered my emergency call. Not only did he fix my acute problem, he repaired some faulty work that had previously done that was jeopardizing my whole electrical system. I have nothing but praise for him and will absolutely call him again and refer him to my friends and family.

Adam Gruber was very knowledgeable of electric code, explained very well solutions to safety issues, including whole house surge protection , arc fault package and identifying faulty GFCI receptacles. Answered all our questions . , about present and future electrical needs like central A/C, kitchen/laundry appliances. He adhered to social distancing and COVID-19 safety guidelines. We are very happy. ?

My Electricians were great. They hung my ceiling fans with little to no mess. They listened to what I wanted done and I greatly appreciated it. One of my fans was defective. He spoke with a customer service rep from the company and together they decided it best to exchange it. The only thing was, they offered me 18 no internet free financing. I applied but when I got the info from Ally Lending I found out they had a lot of bad reviews so I ended up not going that route.

I had heard their commercial on WCCO radio. I called & was very happy with the service from EarlyBird Electric. From the initial call, to the day of my appointment, I was very pleased. They have excellent communication from their office as well. The electrician, Zach, was on time, very polite & professional. He explained all details to me before the work was performed. I feel, he did an excellent job! A side note, he also discovered why my paneling did not have sheetrock totally behind it, a once doorway, that was moved. (Mystery solved!)

Scheduled an appointment online and was contacted via phone the next day to confirm appointment. They were able to get me in within a week and the technician arrived near the beginning of the allotted window of tome. Dan with EarlyBird was very helpful and explaining the work and very patient in dealing with some wiring that was not originally done correctly (by previous owners of the home). I had 2 outlets put in, including 1 GFI, put on a new circuit. Work was done quickly and also provided estimates for future work. I am pleased with the results and overall workmanship.

Carl and Peter arrived on time and worked very efficiently within the time Ty originally proposed. They installed a new 240 amp circuit and ran 8-3 cable from panel across finished ceilings up to new 4 prong 40 amp outlet in kitchen for a new oven (not delivered yet). They were able to run the cable and only create one hole in the ceiling and replaced the Sheetrock (an easy patch for me). They also replaced 26 LED trims, installed new LED bulbs and calibrated the dimmer switches.They were friendly and courteous and we will definitely call EarlyBird Electric for any electrical work we may need in the future. This is an update of my earlier evaluation. After raising the concerns I had about the work Early Bird Electric did on my house, I can report that the company stood behind their service, and were prompt, courteous, and professional in making the necessary adjustments I needed. As for the charge for this service, I failed to take into account that I was not only replacing the electric panel, but I was also upgrading from a 100 amp service to a 200 amp service which could plausibly account for the charges. I believer Early Bird Electric is a reputable company; I regret my earlier (somewhat hasty) review, and am comfortable to recommend them.

Dusty was dispatched out to our home on Saturday afternoon after we lost power to our entire house. It did not take him long at all to determine the problem. He was able to get us temporary power and set up an appointment for the following Tuesday to fix the issue. When I asked if he knew what time it would be he said 8am and if I'm being honest I was a little skeptical of that, but Tuesday came and he was here at 8 just like he said and got right to work! After a few hours the job was complete. He did have an apprentice with but I didn't catch his name. Both we very nice and helpful. The price was fair and the job was well done. I engaged Early Bird Electric to replace and upgrade the electrical panel in my second home. They charged me in excess of $7000. It took two men less than a day to complete the work. In casual conversation with another licensed electrician, he indicated that he normally charged less than half that amount for two people working less than a day. It appears as though Early Bird merely doubled the charge. Further, when I was able to inspect the work, I discovered there is no main shut off circuit breaker (which I believe is standard in the main panel) an omission never discussed with me and entirely unacceptable. The Square D circuit breakers appear to be misaligned in the panel, further evidence of poor, substandard, unacceptable workmanship. I have contacted Early Bird and await their response. In the meantime, I can't recommend this company to anyone.

Rick made time for us this morning to fix a dangerous electrical situation. He was prompt, friendly, and professional throughout his visit in our home. We had a live electrical outlet under a countertop in the way of a drawer opening and closing; causing it to shave the wood off 3 sides of the drawer during the 18 years we have lived in this house. We have no way of knowing how or why that was installed there. Today we joyfully can live like others who have serviceable drawers under there countertops. I will be picking up the newly constructed drawer box from a local carpenter later on today. thank YOU to the customer service provider, the job organizer, the electrician, and your company who provided professional electrical service during the coldest part of the winter. The price was rather high; but we understand that everything costs money. We appreciate all of your help.

A large tree came down and damaged the meter mast to my house and neighbor's, Earlybird's Tech, Adam was on site doing great fast work already at the neighboring house, and I asked if he was able to mine also. He had great advice for me about how the power company prefers the mast to be, since mine was 20 years old. His advice was great, the power people were very glad on the update. Adam also had all the parts and needed supplies in his well stocked truck. I have worked with other electrical people that had to leave the work site to get materials. Adam G. was very professional, and was very kind and pleasant and did super fine work. In order to get us up to power faster, he had another associate come to work on site, and he was also very professional, pleasant and they teamed well. Adam left no trimmings or any debris behind. EarlyBird did a great job rewiring the second floor of our home to remove knob and tube wiring that was likely original to the 1921 house. Prior to hiring EarlyBird, we had several electricians out to give us estimates - D from EarlyBird impressed us with his depth of knowledge about electrical in older Minneapolis houses. Though EarlyBird's estimate was not the cheapest, it was the only guaranteed bid (and electricians we spoke with from other companies warned us that our estimate could increase dramatically if they ran into unforeseen, and possibly likely, problems). We are very pleased with EarlyBird's work. In addition to the basics (punctual, professional, effectively addressed our problem, and cleaned up after themselves each day), two electricians from EarlyBird managed to rewire the whole second floor with only minimal cutting of one wall and a small hole in a ceiling, a challenge given the number of external walls with windows that needed electrical outlets. We would recommend EarlyBird to anyone (for a big job or small--they also did a few smaller jobs in addition to the rewiring) and will use again when needed.

With so many positive reviews, I don't know if anyone will see this, but I hope at least one person looks elsewhere for their electrician needs. After losing power to our detached garage, a technician from Early Bird came out to see what the problem was. After a brief look around, he quoted us $6,500, stating we needed a new breaker, a new line run underground through our backyard and some other repairs to return power to our garage. This was a HUGE expense so we called another company for a second opinion and they were able to simply replace a GFCI outlet in less time and for less money than it cost for the Early Bird electrician to quote us over $6k. I requested a refund, and while Early Bird refunded me part of the money we spent to have the electrician come out, and stated that the electrician somehow had a faulty piece of equipment (?), I doubt they would have told me if I hadn't already complained. I am also not convinced it even was faulty equipment, but instead an excuse for them essentially lying to us about the repair we needed. DO NOT TRUST THEM and please do not use them. Find someone small and local to get your job done.
