I was sold frozen chicken, hamburger, shrimp, and fish.
Iwas told this was very high quaity products fatfree and fresh. The chicken had an expiration date 0f 03-09-2009 and was freezer burned. Mind you this was purchased February of 2010. The " steak burgers " were supposed to be high quality fresh ground steak and very lean. I cooked one of the steak burger and it smelled horrible and collected 34 of a cup of stinky heavy grease, just from one steak burger.
The chicken was freezer burned and Mr. Ruben had the nerve to tell me it was very fresh and is never ever kept frozen very long. The freezer burned parts were supposed to be the little bit of fat that came on the chicken breast. And that could easily be removed. But that it was still a very high quality frozen chicken.
I called this sales person Ruben that I was very unhappy and I wanted a refund due to what I had learned about these products that he sold to me. He said the company wanted me to try some of the things and to call back and if I was still unhappy he would come and pick up the frozen products he had sold to me. Even though I made it clear I did not want to try anymore of the frozen products because I was horrified and concerned about my family and their health.
I have called many times to this mr ruben he has avoided all my calls. He should be ashamed of himself. That was $173.00 I had to purchase good quality food for my family was gone and we did without for the rest of the month.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I have a debit on my bank visa debit card for $210 from usafoods.com. I had trend micro at one time but cancelled this several months ago. I would like to see this is cancelled and amount credited to my account. I contacted my bank to get a phone number to contact and they did not have one listed.
A young man and a very young lady approached me on my driveway as I was coming home from a restaurant after lunch one day a couple of weeks ago. They had a cute little decorated truck. He seems rather anxious (to say the least) and started showing me packages of meat, etc. I told him I was not interested at that time and they could give me a phone number in case I wanted to contact them. The young woman jumped out of the vehicle and wrote a phone number on a brochure I had asked for. They then left. I'm sure I remember seeing (on these packages of meat - two or three of them) words that said 'product of China'. At that point, I knew I wasn't interested, but didn't mention it. I just checked this directusafoods site, and came upon a lot of interesting info. This was/is my only contact with them. I've always dealt with Schwan's Frozen Foods - since the 1990's, and they're excellent. I have no reason to switch to anything or anyone else.

Horrible meat. Obviously this isnt the first time with bad meat...ban the bad meat! i cant afford to keep purchasing this crap!
I was one of the stupid purchaser's too. My husband and daughter were sick for 2 days after eating the chicken. I cooked up the "so called steak burgers" they shrunk double in size with a horrible grease smell. They tasted like rubber or plastic. We have been fighting with them for over a week now and they won't return our calls. This is a horrible company. Stay clear of them!
I was stupid enough to purchase from these guys too. They came banging on my door told me they were selling cases for 268 or something i said no i dont have that kind of money he suckered me into $100. Well i write him a check and after reading everything on this company i tried calling and calling no answers. Was told i had 3 days and if i didnt want them they would refund me my money. Well luckily they hadnt cashed the check 2 days in and i canceled the check. Its been almost 2 months now and no one has called me reguarding the issue so for now im just holding onto the yucky steaks and seafood until they call, if they call and they can come pick up their nasty foods.
Direct USA Meats is a rip off--------meat is bad plus they rip you off on your money.
I bought meat from Direct USA, 4/23/2011 Got Steaks, Burgrs, Seafood. The meat was bad. Shrimp foamed up when cooked, and smelled really bad. Steaks were freezer burned. meat overall was bad. But when bought, the salesman said I could write a post dated check for it. He said he would not cash until said. Dated it for 4/30/2011. He cash it the same day as I bought the meat. Causing checks to bounce that were due in for payment. Causing me $180.00 in overdrafts. I am on a fixed income and when my pension check came to the bank all of it was takn to cover the checks, plus the $262.00 I was charged for the meat. Needless to say I was out of money for this month. How can people do this and live with thereselves. I am 72 yrs. old and it has been very hard on me. I hope that young man that did this to me can sleep at night and Direct USA meat can sleep too.
you got steak, seafood, and chicken for 173? must have just got it by the box. not by the case. it was, i'm sure an honest mistake. the food is very high quality and i have no idea how you cooked the steak burgers, but there is no way there was that much grease in one patty. post honest comments.
