I was looking to earn some extra money and contacted Diamond Companions through their website. They told me i could earn £490 per booking doing lunch or dinner and that they earnt their money through commission. i emailed them a photo via my blackberry as strangely enough I was unable to send them to their email address [protected]@diamondcompanions.org. They kept bouncing back. Kelly the contact there called me this morning to say she had a booking for me tomorrow night in Canary Wharf, London for lunch with a business man from Birmingham. A car would pick me up and bring me home and if all went well a dinner with him and clients would be forth coming next week. All I had to do was pay for my advertising, a fee of £350 which needed to be done via Weston Union as their head office was in Spain. (By now my heckles were up and I was smelling a rat). I registered with Weston Union and did allow the money to go through but didn't pass on the code to Kelly at the agency so knew Stuart Piper the contact who was to pick up the money in Spain would be unable to. I then checked some scam sights and low and behold my worst fears were realised. I rang Weston Union, got my money refunded, and warned them of Diamond Companions and Stuart Piper. I checked Companies House and this compamy only registered as trading on the 26th Jan 2010 so they were probably trading under loads of other names in years previously. their company number is 0713 7275, their Sic number is 03 and they said they were based in London but their trading address is the one above. Finally we should all understand that 'if something seems to good to be true then it probably is!'
