My optometrist did not carry colored contacts in the color I wanted in my prescription so she recommended me to order them online. I wasn't sure which company to order my Air Optix Color off of since this will be my first time getting colored contacts. I decided to go with 1800Contacts and hope that my experience with them will be good. I emailed them my Rx the night I placed my order. Since my prescription was written as "Air Optix Aqua", they email me back letting me know that they have to get in touch with my doctor if it's okay with the colored contacts that I ordered. Their customer service was awesome! Quick reply, very informative and my order came in a week later. I would definitely order more in the future. So happy!

Everyone I spoke to was absolutely amazing, but Deena is truly the most caring, patient, sincere, compassionate and helpful rep I've ever had the good fortune to meet! This was my first time ordering from 1800Contacts, and I must say I am very impressed. Their regular price was cheaper than ordering from my Dr. However, I had a coupon for $40 off for a year supply (4 boxes) ordered standard shipping which was free. With a 7 day ETA. They shipped same the same day I ordered and I had them in 4 days. On the day I received my contacts, I was doing some internet pricing, and found my brand cheaper from a different competitor. I called 1800Contacts per there price match guarantee. The friendly associate found the price on the competitors price on the website and issued a refund plus 2% saving me $80 more dollars. I will differently use them again for the purchase of my contacts, and recommend them to all my friends and coworkers.

This company 1800contacts.com is great. I have used them for 10 years and will use them forever. It's convenient and fast to get your order. I always get my contacts fast. My orders always come several days faster than what I expect. I actually had a problem with my last order and the wrong script was sent, I contacted them and they shipped my new order super fast so I could get the new contacts so I could see. They paid for the shipping back of the other contacts and refunded my credit card for the inconvenience, even the box that I opened and used one pair out of. Everyone was quick to reply to my emails and had a great response and took full responsibility and made everything better.

This company is so awesome! I went to America's Best in Williamsburg, Va to get my eye exam but contacts were cheaper at 1800contact. I had a first prescription from the day of my exam but then I had two more from the follow ups, to make sure I pick the right one. I decided to get the very first one, I was very specific about it but the associate gave the Dr the wrong one to sign so he was out of the office for a few days and I had to wait for him to sign the right one. Well he again signed the wrong one (2nd follow up) but I didn't realize that until my contacts came in the mail and I couldn't see anything with them on. Thanks to Jessie, who has been my life savior, who helped me so much taking all my worries away and who had to clean up the mess America's Best made, I'm now feeling better. America's best didn't want to help me in any ways, I asked for a follow up to make sure I was getting the right prescription but they refused to do it. Amanda, the manager, told me the doctor finalized me and they would not be any more follow ups or trials, she was rude and wasn't trying to help me at all. Thank you 1-800 contacts for being such a helpful company! And thank you again Jessie for such a great customer service.

I just did, and I am shocked. I got an eye exam 6 months ago, and I needed more contacts, so I called my eye doctor's office and got a price per box. $44.99... Great price. But I had a background ordering from 1-800-CONTACTS in the past, and knew they had a price match, so I called.
I got THE BEST EVER, (seriously not kidding) customer service professional on the phone, Brenna. I challenged her with the price match. No problem. I challenged her with the old contacts I had previously ordered from them, and she gave me the exact price refund to return the old stock I had, with prepaid return postage. I was calculating the cost in my head, and she kept up with me on why my calculation was a bit off due to my ordering the over stock in higher quantities, thus the lower price return. And she got me the whole way! No one can ever follow my train of thought! LOL
IMPRESSIVE! If you wear contacts, call them. The customer service is unbelievable! Thanks Brenna!

I had never ordered contacts online before but took a chance at 1800 contacts to save $90 on a year supply plus free shipping. I didn't put in all the info needed and the RX pic didn't upload correctly. They called and sent several emails trying to inform me that they needed more info but I didn't check my voicemail or email until several days later when I finally did check on the status of my order. I saw it was cancelled so I called them at 10:30 pm on a Friday night to find out why. I had no wait time and a helpful customer service rep answered. She walked me through all the steps of getting my RX to them and my order processed. 15 minutes later she called me back to let me know that everything with the order went through perfectly and the order was processed and shipped with a free upgrade to overnight delivery. I got my contacts the very next day, less than 24 hours after calling them. They also included a free contact lens case that I wasn't expecting. I will be using them again in the future. I would suggest if you've never ordered contacts online, have any questions or issues about your order after placing it, or if you want to check on the status, give them a call. They were very helpful and I'm very pleased. The original estimated date of delivery was 7-10 business days. Even with the issue I had, from start to finish, I had my contacts in 7 days.

I was looking around on thesite and all of a sudden a charge for *** was made and contacts ordered I did not authorize. It was taken out of my bank account immediatey. I contacted *** contacts and they refused to refund the money and cancel autorization, Don't use them! I have had to deal with them for over 2 hours.
Mislead on rebate. I purchased the lenses from 1800 contacts after reviewing pricing across a number of sources. The order was eligible for a $90 rebate. I sent in the rebate form and after several weeks followed up with 1800 contacts who informed me that because I received a 25% discount for the lenses, I was ineligible for the rebate. I escalated and spoke to a supervisor who informed me that the pricing I received made me ineligible for the rebate. That 'ineligibility' was not explained to me at the time of purchase and had I known I would NOT have ordered from 1800 - my purchase decision was based on total cost. At no time did the agent who took my order tell me I would be ineligible for the rebate in fact the chat history shows that she told me the order number that was eligible. 1800 supervisor response was that 'he understood that' but I would not get the rebate. He would 'coach' the agent so that it wouldn't happen again. After several minutes discussion it was clear 1800 was not prepared to address its error and the fact that it mislead me to purchase the lenses believing I would get the rebate. It is rare for me to say this, but I will not use 1800 again. It would appear that 1800 do not understand the value of a satisfied customer
Pros -- Quick shipping available, relatively easy ordering process, prices seem industry-standard Cons -- SO pushy. I have several times heard from my eye doctor that *** Contacts called in my prescription for a refill request when I did NOT request one. They are constantly trying to borderline trick you into reordering your contacts to get more business. I have also heard from my eye doctor that they are sneaky with the 8 hour Contacts Lens rule ("Prescriptions are verified automatically if the prescriber doesn't respond to the seller's verification request within eight business hours") and will fax in requests at midnight on a Saturday to ensure the prescription can be approved without the doctor. This has left me with a really poor taste in my mouth and I will seek to buy my contacts elsewhere
If your prescription is constantly changing (between annual eye exams) then it might be worth it to use *** Contacts but I would be wary of their price matching claims. When I sent them a price match request (including screenshots of the price I found), I was told they could not match my price because they could not find the same price. When I asked for them to send me a screenshot of what they were finding, I was told they could not do that either. I ended up ordering directly from the website I found because the *** Contact agent could not resolve the issue.

I was charged 3 times for my order. They cancelled the first order because they couldnt ship within 30 days. Then they charged me (and the transaction posted) when we re-placed the order. Then when my order finally shipped on the 10th, they charged me again and that transaction posted. I have yet to receive a refund on either of the 2 $250 charges for the same or ***. When I call, I get verbatim the same answer about how their records indicate I was only charged once. The last rep I spoke to asked me to send her bank log in details so they can confirm I was charged more than once? Very very scammy.
I wanted to order contacts through them, I spoke with a guy on chat and he was able to help me get what I needed. I wanted to opt into overnight shipping, I found out they dont actually do overnight shipping. So I wanted to shop around a bit. I ended up calling about an hour later to place the order because it was the best deal. The female on the phone gave me a completely different price and when I told her I wanted overnight shipping because of the holiday and their low stock in contacts the earliest I could get them would be 4 days if I paid for over night shipping and it wasnt guaranteed. I said ok so if I dont get them on the fourth day what would be the longest Id wait. SHE SAID EIGHT WEEKS. Eight weeks for overnight shipping. WHAT A SCAM do not buy from them. They are pushy and dont guarantee anything
I ordered a few boxes of contacts from the company, and supposedly receive rebate from them as advertised. I filled out the rebate form but never received the rebate money. I contacted the customer service was told my rebate request was being rejected and this is because I received new customer discount and so therefore can't receive rebate anymore. But the rebate terms never indicate the rule. The company can change the term as they like.

If I could give negative stars I would. Did online eye test, paid 20$ for optometrist to look at test and write me a contacts prescription. Thats not what happened. They said I needed to see local eye dr. (I cant even get in until March locally.) so they denied prescription and I was out 20$. They said because it has been too long since last eye exam. However, in the beginning it asked when my last exam was, I answered honestly. And it let me continue. If the time was a problem, it should have kicked me out, before I spent money.
I talked to someone from 1-800-contacts on the phone and then live chat. I was inquiring about a new account. I had a prescription for 2 brands of contacts and wanted 2 boxes of each brand(a left and right prescription).They told me about the rebates I could receive for all of them. I was planning on ordering later, just wanted info, but the person kept trying to get me to purchase. Saying I mine as well go ahead while I was on there. I was tired, but decided since they helped (maybe they were getting commission?) I would just order. When I received my order, it wasn't what I wanted and what I originally discussed. They sent me 4 boxes of the same brand. I contacted them, and they sent the 2 I wanted. Then I sent the 2 wrong ones back. I was waiting for my rebate for awhile. I talked to someone and they said because I changed my returned contacts they canceled all my rebates. Even though it was there mistake! They didn't tell me they were going to cancel my rebate either. I might not have exchanged any contacts if I had known. Not to mention I was worried the check was lost or stolen. Lastly, I also had told someone about an issue I had with a pair early on and no one did anything about it. Later I exchanged the other 2 contacts for the cheaper ones because they told me I wouldn't get the rebate anyways. I felt totally ripped off. Was an awful experience.

Was double charged for an order online, customer service was rude and not helpful at all. Currently still waiting for the error to be credited and out the funds for up to ten business days. Had to go through the bank to get it fixed. Avoid paying with a debit card and check your statements if you buy from them, very disappointing for a large company to treat their customers in this way.
They pre-authorized/ charged me for the contacts I ordered and then told me they didnt have my prescription for my right eye. Why they would pre-authorize or charge me before acknowledging they were out of stock is just crazy. Then when talking to two different customer service people both tried to sell me the 6pk of lenses when I wanted only he 3pk. Now I have to wait *** days for the money to be refunded. Just seems dishonest and stupid way to do business to charge someone, Im sorry, pre-authorize a payment before checking if you had my order in stock.

I ordered my contacts this morning and needed to amend something. I called customer service and was immediately connected to a representative, no button prompts or anything. She was very polite and helpful. I was on the phone for 6 minutes and in that time got my prescription info updated and 2 hours later got the confirmation that they had shipped out for next day delivery. I couldn't be happier with my experience, especially with my 20% off for first time customers.

I just went to refill my prescription with them and mistakenly chose the standard 5-7 day delivery instead of the overnight delivery I required. I called their customer service number at 8:30 pm on a week night and was IMMEDIATELY greeted by a friendly and very well spoken woman. When I explained that I needed to alter my delivery method she not only changed it for me but waived the extra delivery fee as a courtesy to me. Interactions like these leave a lasting impression on me as a consumer. They have just guaranteed my business with them for life.

I ordered a pair of contact lenses on ***- contacts. I was assured on the chat line my insurance with superior vision was being applied but both times noticed the total was too high. On the third try I called them and was told that my lenses had already shipped and they could not apply my insurance to the order without me returning the contacts. They also claimed they originally did not apply my insurance because they did an unrequested price match and they could not apply both. Even before I placed my initial order I was very clear I wanted to use my insurance and those chats are supposedly recorded. I was assured in the chats my insurance was being applied by two different reps. I would like my insurance amount refunded to me as I can not use that amount on anything but more contacts this year and I bought a years worth of contacts already. I should not have to go through the inconvenience of returning the lenses and replacing the already difficult to place order (track my chats and my call it took me an entire afternoon to order those lenses. Plus, I would need to wait on my order another 5-7 days after you receive and process my return. Also, I was originally going to get free shipping, and the representative on the phone charged me for shipping without informing me. So I also paid another ***. Ive been a customer of *** for over a decade; Ive never experienced such deceptive practices until now. I would like my insurance amount refunded and my shipping fees to my credit card used to purchase the lenses.
This business is so racist. This is my second time encountering issues with this business. The customer service is horrible and every time I place an order they send emails saying I need to do an express exam and pay $20 when I have already gone to *** for my personal prescriptions, you have to wait more time to receive your contacts than they state . Ordered contacts on Nov. 25th paying *** for next business day shipping. Nov. 28tg after still not receiving order I contacted and so far have received 4 different answers about my purchase. Even received an email stating they were on the way, still waited and nothing. Only after several attempts did I finally find out they were in back order. Why is this not told to customer before taking their full payment on top of *** shipping costs. I could have gone elsewhere or planned for the delay but instead am now stuck because they have all my money. They made it seem as if they were doing a favor to return the shipping fee, why is that a favor, that should be a no questions asked policy if the purchase is not delivered when promised. Also why is it made to be such an inconvenience on the customer when it's *** problem of the back order? Every person I chatted with made it seem as I'm being done a favor and this is acceptable. It's not. It's in no way acceptable to promise a purchased good and then hold information, money and item from customer. It's just not right. I got an email early on Saturday morning saying that they would be shipping my contacts that day since my prescription was verified. I waited for a tracking number and kept checking my emails and by today, I sent in a message to support to see what was going on. I was then advised by an advocate "Mike" who let me know that because my eyesight is bad, it will take 4-6 weeks! He refunded me my shipping and $30, which felt like a drop in the ocean since I could have been paying significantly less than that anyway. After asking for a supervisor, this agent ended the chat without responding! I called back to get in contact with a supervisor and spoke with an agent who didnt seem to care about the issue and offered the same, then took forever on hold to then come back and tell me a supervisor would email me. When the supervisor emailed me, she blamed the agent ending my chat on a "power outage" and explained that nothing else could be done because I was given an automatic new customer discount as well as the refund, even though I still paid $100+ extra because of their fake shipping and delivery promises. I'm extremely upset because I have been expecting my problem to be resolved today since I was told multiple times that they would be delivered TODAY. Now I will have to go without seeing for at least another month.

1800Contacts is accepting orders for contact lenses, but is failing to mention to customers that there is a manufacturer back order on those medical devices of 4-6 weeks. In effect, they are holding customer money hostage for 4-6 weeks and failing to serve customers with any notice of the back order. Surely they must alert customers that their money will be taken at the moment of order but they won't see their medical devices for months. They're also still charging extra for faster shipping options without acknowledging a 4-6 week back order.
I returned a part of my order, however I still have not received my refund. PayPal is stating that they did not receive any refund from *** contacts, and I also have not received a confirmation email regarding the refund from ***-contacts. Order Number: *** Paypal's message regarding my concern: Hi ***, this is *** from PayPal Messaging. Thank you for reaching out to us. I understand that this is about a refund we're expecting that has not appeared on your account yet.After reviewing your account, I can confirm that we have not received any refunds from this seller, within this month or even the past month. If they did have issued a refund to you, it should show up on your PayPal account right away as being processed even if it has not been posted yet.We advise that you reach out to the seller to follow up on the refund, or, if the payment you made with them has been done within the past 180 days, you may also choose to open a dispute on your PayPal account for it.
A 1800Contacts provider gave me a different brand contact lens prescription which did not fit well. I returned my contacts back to 1800Contacts and they said they would refund me. USPS tracking (***) says the return was delivered back to 1800Contacts on 10/17/2022 but I still have not received a refund after several weeks. Several attempts to contact 1800Contacts provided non substantive answers. To clarify, I returned the DAILIES AquaComfort Plus Toric and am seeking a refund of $63.98.
I paid $639.94 on 3-22-22 for a years worth of contact lenses. This purchase was supposed to come with a $70 rebate. I received an email with the rebate form, and I filled it out and sent it in on 3-30-22. A couple months later I realized I had not received my rebate back in the mail as it was stated I should. I called customer service and the agent told me that they received my form and the rebate would be refunded back to my credit card within 5-7 banking days. Recently, I realized I never received the refund and contacted customer support and was told that I could no longer get the rebate because it was expired, and they could only offer a $35 credit on my account. I want *** Contacts to honor the rebate they offered and refund the $70 to my credit card, not as a half credit on my account.

Consumers should know what I endured before buying contacts from them. They have a policy to replace torn/damaged contacts. It's not my problem if 40 contacts out of an order of 180 contacts (2 boxes) were damaged. This is an ongoing issue with the brand but due to allergies my family doctor would like me and my kids to use that specific brand. The reason why I decided to buy from 1800contacts is their replacement policy. After I ordered the replacement, the customer service told me that they won't be replacing the contacts and will be placing a note on my account of suspicious activity for misuse! When I confronted them they said so sorry, we didn't mean to sound rude. RUDE?! They basically accused me of FRAUD without saying the word "fraud"! This company attempted to double my order on the front end clarified with customer service who attempted to double my order and push me to do another order automatically. I specifically told them NO I want to get the minimum order first if i like the product I will order again. I received my contacts and the next month i received another debit on my card and the next 2 days there was a box in my mailbox i did not order. THAT IS ATTEMPTED THEFT! I contacted them immediately to reverse the charge on my card they said they would mail me a return ship label on Saturday and then they will reverse the charge then. Today is wednesday and no return shipping label now they have my $297.00 hostage for a shipment I did not want . They are trying to get people to just roll over and accept these orders that they did not order or request monthly orders. My contacts prescription has to be made by hand and are to be worn for 2 weeks. Therefore i do not wear them everyday so they last me a long while. I think just because they made two custom orders instead of just the one i ordered they are attempting/bullying me (a retiree on a fixed income) to just accept their bad decision.

I had ordered contacts on Friday, 09/02/22. Was told that the order was received and they were verifying the prescription. I didnt hear anything all weekend, so I chatted with someone named ***, yesterday 09/05/22 and was told that one warehouse had my right eye and another had the left eye, but in order for the contacts to ship together, they needed to leave the same warehouse. I was also told it would take anywhere from *** WEEKS for it to come in from the manufacturer, where as my eye doctor said it takes 1-2 WEEKS, and they use the same manufacturer. The only solution she offered was to cancel the whole order and place 2 separate orders, paying 2 shipping fees and taxes. I had asked if there was any possible way she can reach out to have them shipped from 2 separate warehouses as I am out of contacts. I had received an email, today on 09/06/2022 and was basically told she didnt want to reach out and offer a solution, but kept insisting that I just cancel the order and reorder to have them shipped from 2 separate warehouses.I figured Id save some money ordering from them; but I am starting to regret that decision.I also was not told that my left eye was on backorder until I contacted them yesterday, 09/05/2022. I ordered a pair of color contacts and the wrong color was sent. I contacted customer service as soon as I realized it was incorrect. They resent the correct color but the prescription was incorrect. They then claimed that I was shipped 12 FREE BOXES of contact lenses that were never paid for. What in the heck? How do you think I was given FREE lenses? As if a customer can just order free lenses? Sure.
What happened was TWO separate shipments were Expired Lenses, I mailed them back, and they sent me new lenses. TWICE. Then my prescription changed, and I called to order new lenses. I informed them that from the last few years, of moving around and finding old boxes, I had 9 Boxes of lenses to return, in an EVEN exchange of 9 boxes. I took a picture of all 9 BOXES and sent it to them, I mailed ALL 9 boxes back, and now they are saying that they only received 5 BOXES! WTF. You literally have a picture of what I mailed back, and you're still saying I didn't do it. Talk about the worst customer experience ever. Someone in YOUR RECEIVING DEPARTMENT is probably selling contacts on Craigslist (OR) Ebay, and you're just letting them do it. So, I did my contact lens exam with 1800 contacts. It said I completed the exam but I got an email from a rep named Joshua who said (after I already expressly acknowledged to him that my prescription from my prior contacts exam had gotten way worse and even provided him my current glasses prescription to compare) that it was SO odd how my vision fluctuated, implied I was squinting for the exam to impress my eye doctor, and that I needed to retake the exam. Fine. I retook it. Got no response from Joshua or anyone for the matter.
I emailed Joshua and got no response. Whatever, I gave them leeway. Hey, maybe my scenario is SO foreign to them that they need 48 hours to examine my results instead of the "guaranteed" 24. Emailed Joshua again after 2 days--still no response. Called customer service the next morning (3rd day) just to be told that there's a note in my file that says the exam couldn't be completed.
Like BRO, Joshua, JUST TELL ME your company couldn't pull through so I can make plans to get my contacts prescription and lenses elsewhere. Why would you ghost a paying customer after having received 2 emails inquiring about your overdue guarantee? What a waste of time. And now I will not be able to see clearly for my law school graduation. Even a blanket statement of rejection would've sufficed. Instead, I was left waiting with 0 response that $#*! didn't work out, which was concluded internally 3 days ago, unbeknownst to me.

Thank god they didn't blame me for ordering the wrong item because I really didn't. So they said they would send the new contacts instead of the old ones. Ok, that was great. They said the contacts would arrive by Friday.

On Saturday I called them and asked what happened. So it turned out that they had never shipped the order. Promised to send again.
The week had passed. Nothing again. Same story from representatives and thousand apologies... But no real actions.
Requested the refund, if they are unable to send anything. They agreed, asked me to wait for 8-9 business days. We will see, I guess there will be the same story with the money...

I never received what I paid for and when I contacted customer service they said that they would check my case and promised to contact me back later. They never bothered to call or email me, so I asked them myself about the status of my order and they said that they need more time to resolve the issues.
