My wife and I, having booked on the above cruise with Bolsover Cruise Club UK, are very disappointed at Cunard’s decision to remove Haugesund and Gerainger from the V315 itinerary and the manner in which passengers were informed. The changes to the itinerary were conveyed to passengers just 11 weeks before sailing and - it has to be noted after Cunard would have received the final payments for the cruise. Furthermore no specific reason was given for the changes other than a general statement concerning ‘operational difficulties’ – what does that specifically refer to? I have subsequently found out that in May 2021 (ref. YouTube) the Norwegian authorities had banned all diesel ships from entering Gerainger. So the banning order was well known to Cunard - and indeed Carnival - long before the changes were made official to the public.

Gerainger was for us the jewel in the crown for this particular cruise and if it had been omitted from the initial itinerary we would not have made a booking. I’m afraid this experience will affect our decision to consider any further bookings with Cunard.

As a Carnival shareholder I feel that a full refund is in order given that we are unable to transfer to another Cunard cruise. This request is also made on behalf of Mr and Mrs A John - brother and sister-in-law - who are traveling with us.

I would welcome a swift reply

Yours

Dr & Mrs A Harget

Our Cunard booking reference is 2GCT7H

Cunard booking reference for Mr Mrs John is 2M9G9V

Desired outcome: A full refund or transfer to another Carnival cruise of our choice.
