I trusted Christopher Terry with CT Construction and gave him 30k up front to install two foundations for commercial satellite antennas. He dug the holes the wrong size and then gave me a change order for 23k and wanted it up front for the additional excavation. He never showed up to work again. In my opinion he is a very dishonest guy. Another lady wrote me and said she lost nearly 100k to him. Beware!

I would suggest anyone that is considering hiring CT Construction to go to the site that the comment left above suggested and look up CT Construction. Had I done that first I would not have hired him.

Let me clarify a few things.
Christopher Terry was given $28, 725.00 Not $30, 000.00

If you copy and paste this web site it will take you to the RICO web site or licensing board that Nancy Terry is referring to.
You need to put last name first Terry, Christopher and click on search.
I would highly recommend searching this site before you hire CT Construction.

A complaint?
It appears to me that there are five of them now. There were only four when I looked at it in December.
If you would like me to spell out step by step how Chris Terry ended up with $28, 750.00 and I ended up with two holes in the ground the wrong size, we can do that.
In an effort to be fair I also sent Chris Terry an email after he failed to return and asked for an itemized invoice for what he thought the services that he did provide were worth. I got no response. He had my money, why respond...
This can be worked out and I will see about removing my complaint if he agrees to refund a portion of my money for services that he did not provide. That would at least show he has some business ethics.

Doug,
Thank you for the private email.
Sorry to hear your mother in law is having a similar experience with Christopher Terry.
I would rather not share the details other than right here.
I would suggest that you post your own complaint so that it shows up when someone Googles CT Construction.
People need to know the type of business person that Chris Terry is.
My thought is that he prays on people's trust, gets as much money as he can out of you, then turns it around like you are the problem preventing him from doing the job.
It seems he has figured out that it will cost you as much in attorney fees to go after him as you have lost. The guy is a total ### as far as I am concerned and you will be helping the cause to post your own complaint.
He has made no effort to refund the money for services that he did not provide and that I have paid for. If I don't hear from him by 4-1 to negotiate my refund, I am going to send out an email to his entire address book, which I now have, that simply states, "if you have a complaint about Chris Terry, please file it at complaintsboard.com At that point, my guess is people will have a hard time finding his web site while they dig through the complaints.
Of course if he is as squeaky clean as Nancy Terry says he is then it shouldn't be a problem.
Bob

Christopher Terry still on the island? With his bad reputation and cheap South of the Border non craftsmanship he may have to be living off his wife, none other than Nancy Terry, whom I believe is a realtor.

Yes. As a single home owners few years back, Christopher Terry financially reeked me over the coals. Pompous ### and a liar. He threatened not to finish the job unless he get paid more money than agreed and he wanted it up front. He and his workers were left my home a total mess. Unscrupulous ### without any business or personal ethics.

I had a very unpleasant experience with CT Construction, as well. I filed a complaint with RICO that is still pending. Chris Terry received a great deal of cash from me and did not complete the project. I would never recommend CT Construction for a project.

Bob,
I believe that Nancy Terry is none other than Mrs. Christopher Terry and I recall that she was listed as the "owner" of one of his construction companies. C. Terry has at least than four complaints made to RICO dating back to 2008 but none appear on RICO's web site as required by State of Hawaii regulations (not laws) . These four are listed as pending. RICO has a reputation for favoring the contractor over the client. Terry is indeed a ###.

Mr Bowlin- you make a very misleading statement above as there may have been a complaint but if there are no judgements listed, which there are NOT, then that means it was a bogus complaint. Unfortunately the board has no way to remove it and they drop off after a period of time if no action is taken against a contractor, sort of like an inquiry on a credit report.

If Mr Bowlin had a LEGITIMATE complaint then he would have been able to pursue it with the licensing board. Hawaii has some of the strictest building and contractor laws in the U.S. and has very specific checks and balances for issues like this.
