01 Dec I bought a Yardworks Electric Snow Thrower at the local Canadian Tire Store in Moose Jaw. It is the 9A version, item number [protected]. After using it three times the plastic impeller broke as well as one of the guide vanes. The temperature that morning was minus 28 Celsius. Figuring that maybe this product was not build for those temperatures I attempted to return the snow thrower to Canadian Tire 21 Dec. I was informed that a return could just be accepted within the first 7 days, every follow on issue would need to be addressed through Yardworks. Multiple emails to Canadian Tire were answered but stated the same policy. No attempt was made to address the issue of a low quality product breaking at extreme temperatures. While calling Yardworks I was informed that the impeller is not covered under the two year warranty since it is considered to be a “normal wear part”. They also charge for shipping the item. That pretty much topped it. With this kind of company policy I am stuck with a marginal useful snow thrower with a useless two year warranty that I can not return to Canadian Tire. Also Yardworks does not seem to have a company address, phone number, or email address. As explained to Canadian Tire. This was the last Yardworks product I have purchased.

I have the same item 9A/16 inch wide. Impeller cracked in the first year and Crappy tire Did not sell spare parts nor willing to help ordering one. I was puzzled...no other words to describe it.

First year chute cracked, fixed it. next year the chute adapter shattered at 18 below C. Can not find a replacement part. Great value

I also bought one of these from Canadian Tire. I picked up the power cord by accident and it shredded the impeller. Of course, I was willing to pay, but Crappy Tire said that they don't sell that part and they don't order it - end of the conversation. End of this useless snow thrower.

I as well have had the same problem. The impeller broke into tiny pieces. I bought it last year and by the sounds of it I was lucky to have used it for 3/4 of last winter. First the impeller broke a bit but I was still able to use it (not relaizing it was the impeller that broke) but 3 or 4 uses after that it broke into tiny piece. I am just trying to find parts for it now, but am having no luck. Yardworks doesn't seem to have a website nor an order form online. That's pretty lousy customer satisfaction.

I have the same problem and only used it twice. The snow was powery, The blower was inside before going outside so it is not that the plastic was cold and brittle. I dont recall the temp outside but it was nice and sunny (I was only cleaning the back deck with it!) Interesting to find this posting first before finding the Yardworks web site!

I have the same problem, after 3 times the impeller broke. Is 25$ for a new one, is supose to be more durable.
