ValoreBooks fraud of 15000$

VALOREBOOKS CAN EAT YOUR MONEY!BEWARE!

I AM SELLER ON VALOREBOOKS.COM AND HAD 5 ACCOUNTS WITH THEM FROM 2009.THEY PAUSED ALL MY ACCOUNTS AND STOPPED MY PAYMENTS.AFTER CONTACTING 50 TIMES THEY RESPONDED AND HOLD MY 15000$.I MET WITH AN ACCIDENT WAS IN HOSPITAL FOR 7 MONTHS IN CRITCAL CARE UNIT AND HAVE NO MONEY AND BUSINESS TO SURVIVE MYSELF.I ASKED THEM FOR MY MONEY AND THEY SAID WE HAVE ALREADY PAID YOU.BUT WHEN I TOLD THEM I WILL CONTACT MY LAWYER THEN THEY MADE ME THE PAYMENT BY CHECKS FOR 9000$ AND THEY SENT ALL THOSE CHECKS TO MY EARLIER ADDRESS BECAUSE I MOVED TO THIS ADDRESS 8 MONTHS AGO.I TOLD THEM TO SEND ME THE CHEQUES AT MY NEW ADDRESS BUT THEY REFUSED AND SAID WE WILL NOT ISSUE CHECKS AGAIN .GO TO YOUR OLD ADDRESS AND FIND YOURSELF.

SAME SITUATION HAPPENED WITH TEXTBOOKSRUS AND ECAMPUS BUT THEY PAID ME AND RESPONDED ME VERY FAST TO MY NEW ADDRESS.WHEN I CONTACTED DIRECTOR OF SELLING HE SAID THIS IS HOW WE WORK AND THESE ARE OUR POLICIES.

THIS IS A BEWARE FOR ALL THOSE SELLERS WHO ARE SELLING THERE BOOKS ON VALOREBOOKS.THEY HAVE NO COMMITMENT OF PAYMENTS AND DON'T GIVE TRACKING WHEN THEY PAY YOU BY CHECKS.I WILL CONTACT MY LAWYER NOW AND SEND A LEGAL NOTICE TO THEM BECAUSE ANYONE CAN CHANGE HIS ADDRESS, EVEN BUYERS CHANGE ADDRESS FOR THEIR SHIPMENT.I SOLD ON AMAZON, EBAY, AND OTHER BIG WEBSITES BUT THIS WAS THE WORSE EXPERIENCE I HAS WITH VALOREBOOKS.COM

THEY USE YOUR MONEY AND ONLY SEND YOU WHEN YOU ASK THEM 100 TIMES.

VALOREBOOKS.COM IS FRAUD WEBSITE FOR SELLERS.

I have sold a book where I was supposed to receive $83.25 for. However, after waiting for some time for my check or some updates on the book status, I decided to email them (there is no number provided-I did research to get it). They replied that the book was rejected by the seller and that's it. No mention of weather or not will I get it back and when. I contact them again and asked when will the book be sent back to me. They said that it will take about 45 days (?). I emailed back few weeks later to see if the book is in transit yet. They gave me a tracking number that was mine (when valorebooks received my book) and I emailed again telling them this is the incorrect tracking number. A month later still no feedback on my status or if it was shipped. I am still waiting on their reply. I even called and the woman who answered said that she will send my request to a "higher" department that supervises these situations. Very shallow customer service...

ValoreBooks return refusal

Online retailer Valore Books, calling themselves "the student's textbook marketplace", advertises books supplied by other booksellers, in my case a company called Barracuda Books. I ordered "Drug Guide for Nurses" that was advertised as "hardcover" and received a CD-ROM instead. As a nursing student, I need to carry a printed reference guide with me in the clinical setting for repeated reference, and a CD-ROM does me no good. When I reported this to Barracuda Books by email (they do not provide a contact phone number)they responded by telling me that the ISBN number for the book I ordered is for a CD-ROM, even though my printed order confirmation clearly stated "hardcover." All that I asked for was to return the CD-ROM and get the hardcover version as I had ordered, but they refused, so I disputed the order with my credit card company, and payment was cancelled. As the final insult, I received an email from Barracuda Books that said they "understand the listing may have been confusing" and "We were going to offer to ship the actual book to you but since there is a credit card dispute we will not." I now own a CD-Rom version of a book that I really need for school, but is useless in the current format. I feel sorry for any other students, especially those who are struggling with finances like I am, who are taken advantage of by companies like Valore Books and Barracuda Books.

ValoreBooks Sell Back Scam

I sent a sell back order to Valore Books a little over a month ago, and still no word from them. Not even a confirmation email. They assure you it takes up to 14 days to receive your package, when it's a lie. They cut your sell back price after 30 days knowing that they either won't receive the package by that time, or have received it and won't process it by then. It's a SCAM and shady. I've spoken to 4 of their representatives and they all give me the run around and tell me my order's probably lost, but I'm not buying into this AT ALL. I will be taking legal action if my check isn't here soon. This is unethical and again...a SCAM.

My grandson sent a book to Valore Books and I tracked it and it was received by them on May 30th, but no payment has ever been received. I used the number someone else posted on another website with a complaint of their own and was asked to leave a message which I did. I then hung up and called the National Association for College Stores. They gave me the number that is listed above. I called this number and they denied being Valore Books. They were very nice at the National Association for College Stores and it probably would not be a bad idea to call them [protected]) just to lodge a complaint. I am also going to make sure the college my grandson attends knows about their business practices since he got something and they were on their list. I am very angry given the fact that there are a lot of college students that need this money to purchase more books this fall and Valore Books appears to be taking advantage of them. It is just wrong!

I sent two books to sell backs, one New, never used and the other slightly used to Valore Books a little over a month ago, and still no word from them. Not even a confirmation email. This company completely scammed me out of my money. I returned a rented book that I did not use this semester and was sent an email to my SPAM folder that I did not notice till weeks later saying that the returned book was unacceptable due to water damage and they have CONVENIENTLY charged my stored credit card with an additional $122. They did not send me the book back which would have been another way of notifying me the condition was unacceptable bringing it to my attention they had charged my card $122..
I tried reaching their customer service representative that can only be reached through email because the number they have on file goes to voicemail everytime and they do not return your phone calls. I was replied to through email by a representative by the name Wolfgang who OFFERED to send me the book back. Now, I think that is something the company should do right away. Hence if I DID want the book back I could sell it to somebody else but now that they have waited so long, the semester has already started leaving there no students with need for this book until NEXT semester. As a student, I CAN'T have this. Students are charged, charged, and charged again for schooling, the last thing I need is a company claiming I returned a damaged book that I did not even use and have no way to prove that I did not cause the damage.
Who's to say this company isn't scamming us students out of our money and really damaging the books themselves so they can charge us and buy a new book for their company. OR who's to say the book really is damaged, they could be choosing random students to charge once a book gets to a certain used point just to buy a new one! ONE THING I AM CERTAIN, that book was returned in perfect condition and now... I am paying for it.

Thank you guys soooo much! I was about to send some books out, but before I did, I decided to check these guys out on this website. Luckily I did. I will not be selling my books to these guys anymore. Listen to the people! 9 times out of 10 we are right when we warn people of bad business. I've been saved a few times and have also fallen victim to a company before. Sure enough when I checked them out here, they had a ton of complaints that were exactly like mine.

Back in February, I sent Valore two separate book orders. They mail me a $35 check for all 4 books. The total for both orders was $141.50. I emailed them 03/09/10 regarding my orders. “Christina” the customer service rep who answers on the complaint board left a number for Valore, what she fails to mention is that the number is for completing orders, they...

ValoreBooks sell back

December 31, 2009 printed mailing label, mailed - bought insurance. Got an email confirming package delivery. Got email confirming check had been sent - for half of the amount it was to be. Got an email saying half of the books did not arrive - they were all in the same box! Have emailed three times with questions / complaints - one response saying this was their busy time of year to bear with them. January 24, 2010 - NOTHING! The website has no phone number for the company anywhere on it. What can I do to get the money - OR my BOOKS back?

I rented a book from Valore Books. I received the wrong book. When I emailed customer service, I was told that I needed to contact the shipper directly (I thought I was!) in order to resolve the issue. I sent an email to the address they gave me and was told that the book I originally rented was not available and that I needed to return the book they mistakenly shipped within 30 days. They will not process a refund until they receive the book back and I need to ship it at my own expense! This place is as bush league as they come. I ended up renting from Chegg.com.

Valorebooks.com is the worse excuse for a middle man. Their shipping speeds barely equal that of the early American pony express. You pay the same cost of standard shipping and receive it weeks later than standard speeds. They're customer service matches that of a socially frightened robot. First they ask you to contact the seller for questions before contacting them. Once the seller never responds and you do contact valorebooks, they send you a response thats copied and pasted from their FAQ section on the topic of your concern and soes not address your particular problem or question. Never use this site. Chegg.com is a much better service oriented provider for book purchases and rentals.

I rented a book from Valore Books.com and the moment I finalized my order it had said the book was shipped. I was immediately charged $27.74 for the rented book.I did not receive any email confirming my order and it had said I would receive an email with the confirmation number but I never did and I also did not recieve any email confirming my shipment. I have sent several email to the merchant seller and have never responed to my email.I have also tried contacting them with a phone number I found in their website but no one ever answers the phone.I have not received any book and it past the date it was said I would recieve the book.I will never do businesses with this company again.

Sold books, books showed up as received and signed for on January 3, 2014. I asked for payment via PayPal which was supposed to be within 8 days--and still do not have it. Twice written to customer service and they say they are "checking into it". HORRIBLE COMPANY!

I am seller on valorebooks.Com and had 5 accounts with them from 2009. They paused all my accounts and stopped my payments. After contacting 50 times they responded and hold my 15000$. I met with an accident was in hospital for 7 months in critical care unit and have no money and business to survive myself. I asked them for my money and they said we have already paid you.

But when I told them I will contact my lawyer then they made me the payment by checks for 9000$ and they sent all those checks to my earlier address because I moved to this address 8 months ago. I told them to send me the cheques at my new address but they refused and said we will not issue checks again. Go to your old address and find yourself.

Same situation happened with textbooksrus and ecampus but they paid me and responded me very fast to my new address. When I contacted director of selling he said this is how we work and these are our policies. This is a beware for all those sellers who are selling there books on valorebooks. They have no commitment of payments and don’t give tracking when they pay you by checks.

I will contact my lawyer now and send a legal notice to them because anyone can change his address, even buyers change address for their shipment. I sold on amazon, ebay and other big websites but this was the worse experience I has with valorebooks.Com

They use your money and only send you when you ask them 100 times.

Valorebooks.Com is fraud website for sellers.

I wish I would have found this website before I sent my book to them. I called to check on the check and they said it would take about 3 months to even get a check. The rep was rude, took the wrong phone number down, refused to transfer me to manger and hung up on me, I called back and she was rude and hung up again. I called back and got a Georgia who was also very rude and refused to transfer me to manager. In this economy companies like this deserve to go out of business. We work hard for our money and deserve respect from companies. I am contacting my local new channel. I live in a large college town, I am going to tell everyone I know not to do business with Valore books. It's sicking to rip people off like this. I could have sold my book on craigslist faster than this.

I have rented a book through Valore, I got an e-mail asking if I had received my book and the e-mail said that if I did not receive my book with in 24 hrs to contact them. So I e-mailed them, I got a e-mail back saying to contact the seller, I followed there instructions and the e-mail went back to them, I guess as I got another e-mail from the with the exact same instructions. I e-mailed asking for a phone # to get help over the phone and I DID NOT GET one ? NO I got the same instructions as before.

I hope I get my book but as of now I'm not impressed with their customer service.

This is the first time I've used Valore, never again I'll go back to either Knect books or campus book rentals, I ordered two books through campusbook rentals at the same time I ordered the one through Valore, Campusbook rental books are already here.

Yep same issues...I sold my books like I saved up my books from 3 years of college and sent them they were all in perfect condition because I have like OCD on this...sent them they quoted me for $1688.32. I see on the tracking that they got them and its been more than a week for them to have been evaluated. Then they say that they have been rejected all 13 of them and don't tell me why just that I will be getting not money I asked for my books back and they said expect them to the provided address in 2-4 weeks its been 3 months and no one has given me my ###ing books back...that's damn near $2000 and they won't give me my damn books back and they wouldn't tell me why they didn't accept them for a payment... They literally stole my books because they have one number which is always busy and never goes through and they don't send you any emails back on topics so I very pissed like very pissed...

I sent 3 books right before textbook season started. They rejected them saying that they were not good enough. They said would return them within 30 days. Now, one of the books is selling for 71 dollars on amazon, same condition. They only offered 21 dollars. I believe they have an Amazon seller account, selling my books for that price and will most likely send me back books in worse condition or not send them back at all. Beware.

I had the same issue as several people who have posted. I purchased a "used" book that was in very good condition and I made sure it stayed in excellent condition. Valore said they would buy the book, of course contingent upon their acceptance of same once they received it in the mail. There was no reason whatsoever to doubt they would accept the book; however, upon their receipt of the book, I got an e-mail stating they could not use the book and would have to "recycle" it. I agree that this screams "scam." I will not use them again, EVER.

I was selling back a textbook which they quoted that they would pay me $42.00. The book was in good condition, no reason for it to be sent back or anything. It took the book literally a month to arrive to the Valorbooks location from my post office. I later get an e-mail that my book is being processed. Then another e-mail that the check has been sent out (not really, they paid through paypal), in the amount of $31.14. No explanation why they paid less than the quoted price. The book was in good condition, and did not break the rules of their "book standards". I e-mailed them a week ago to find out why the price discrepancy, nobody has answered yet. These people are ###.

I placed an order on the 14th of August and i used the standard shipping method as my class, as at that time was not going to start till the 29th. According to the information there, standard shipping method should take two weeks or a little more. It was never stated there that this shipping method is uninsured nor untraceable. As at today, the tracking number of the so called item says accepted at a particular USPS facility since the 19th of August, When is the rented book going to get to me? I called valorebooks and I was told to contact the sellers, I did and the sellers told me to direct my questions to valorebooks. Eventually, one of the customer service representatives of valorebooks forwarded an email received from the seller that the shipping method used for the item was untraceable and uninsured? Why was that not stated on valorebooks website? Therefore my money could not be refunded. Can you imagine? Am I meant to be liable for an item that I am not even sure was sent in the first place? I called all the USPS post offices that might have been involved in the chain of delivery and none had a record of the item. A case was even created and was later closed as no one could say where the so called mailed book was or if it was truly mailed. So at the end of the rental period, I will be charged again for not returning a book I never received. I am working so hard on getting my refund as I cannot allow some money-loving company fraud me of the little I have.

This company is a complete scam. They keep books that you are trying to sell for 45 days before they say they will send them back even though they are in perfect condition. Not sure if I will do it, but I have heard of people creating multiple orders and then SEND THEM BRICKS so that they would be stuck with the postage.

Valore books said they sent me a book but never did. I has to do an investigation with my bank and I was refunded the money. I had to rent the book from another company. When it was time to send the book back valore sent me a label and without thinking I sent the book to the wrong place. I contacted valore and told them I sent the book to them by accident and they would not help me in any way and made it so hard to get this problem solved. I was charged over $200 for the book that valore is keeping that I owed to the other company. They will not send me my book back and are being so rude and will not help me in any way. Do not use valore. They are the worst company ever and they take advantage of ther customers whenever they can.

Returned a rental book before due date. Valore indicated they received but refused. They did not send me a notice nor did they indicate there was a problem with the book, they charged me for 30.00 more then what the price of the book was if I had purchased it. I returned the book before due date but was charged 92.16 for a book new would be no more than 63.13. I contacted Valore, the representative had no idea why it was refused. The book was not rented through Valore, it was rented through College Books direct.com. It is clear that there is some major fraud going on with Valore. They did not send the book back and they clearly are scam artists. Even the representative suggested I contact my credit card company to dispute the charge. They need to be put out of business. College Book Direct needs to also be indicated a perpetrator in this scam

ValoreBooks 34 days and still no check

On [protected] i printed label, shipped one book. On [protected] I rec'd an email confirming receipt of book in warehouse. Today is [protected] and still no check! This was supposed to be 7-10 days, not 34 days and counting. I have saved all email correspondence between us and nothing validates the delay! IMHO their guarantee is bogus! What does their guarantee afford me if they do not comply?

Although we do promote best business practices to our members, we have no authority over them other than declining their membership application when it comes up for renewal. (NACS doesn't "accredit" them as you seem to indicate)

However, I have passed your e-mails along to our membership department and have been told they will be duly noted in their file. If we receive other complaints that indicate the poor customer service you have experienced is a pattern, you can be sure we will consider asking them to leave our association.

Again, I understand your frustration with the delay on your refund. - Sincerely, Charlie

Hi, I sold my books on late Dec. 2013, and Valore-books, shows that they sent out check to me on early Jan. 2014.
But, as of today, April 7th, 2014, I never receive check from Valore-books. Does anyone know how to reach out to Valore-books to get my check back?
I sent many emails to Valore-books, but, I still do NOT have my check. It's been almost 3-month.

Thanks,
Stella

As of today, April 29th, 2014, I still did NOT receive my sell-back check from Valore-books.
BE VERY VERY CAREFUL to sell back any of your books, you will not get paid.

Stella

Hello. Im from Puerto Rico and I'm another victim here. Last week (27/3/10) I tried to buy a book in VALOREBOOKS.com with my mom's credit card. They said in the message that my billing address does NOT match so I've got surprised because I typed every single letter just like in the bill. Then, my relative told me that her cred card has been frozen due to the 9 attempts I did. Now, I'm wondering if the transaction is in its course because since the last two weeks I didn't receive any single e-mail or notification with an order number/info. I already sent a message through the CONTACT US option.

This problem is increasing because I suggested this page to a friend and she had the same problem I had so I'm thinking if they recognize this problem. What can I do?
