Found a car on mobile.de for the unbelievably low price.
The ad has been removed within a day, but just for fun I kept asking about the car. See below some of the messages I received in reply.

The car has GERMAN documents (the car is registered in GERMANY - Is a German Model - TUV Valid 2 Years ).
I have worked in GERMANY for 2 years and i purchased the car there.

I am trying to sell it at this price because I do not use it anymore ( the steering wheel is on left side and is very difficult for me to drive it ), it is a pity to keep such a car and not to use it.

Ich habe in DEUTSCHLAND für 2 Jahre gearbeitet, und ich kaufte das Auto dort.
Meine Firma wollte mich zurück nach Hause, so Derzeit bin ich in Großbritannien.
Das Auto ist jetzt in Großbritannien.

Ich kann das Auto an einem beliebigen Ort in Europa auf meine Kosten in max 5 Tage Lieferzeit liefern.

Like i informed you in the first email, the car is located in England, UK. Transport is included in price.
I have registered the vehicle with eBay Purchase Protection Program so a local pick-up is not an option.
Since the car and all the documents are already deposited at the eBay company, they will handle the shipping. I used them before and I am 100% satisfied with their services because they protect both of us (buyer and seller).
Let me explain you how it works:
1)I need your transport information (your name and address) also your identity scanned copy, in order to contact eBay to start the transaction.
2)You will receive a notification from the eBay Inc as a confirmation that the car is in their custody and also that the car has been tested.
3)You will have to make a deposit payment to the eBay Account as a guarantee .
(you must send a deposit of 30% first and rest of the money 70% after you will receive the car)
4)The eBay company will verify the payment and if everything is in order they will deliver the car to your location address.
5)After you will receive the car and you will be completely satisfied with it, you will confirm to the eBay your decision. You have 5 days to inspect it and take a decision.
6)Transport company will take care for all export paper work documents and they help you to register the car in your country.
Delivery time: 3 - 5 days
AFTER they receive your payment confirmation they will start the delivery. You will have a 5 days inspection period to test the car and to decide if you want to keep it or not.
If you decide to keep it, eBay will register the car on your name .
If you decide not to keep it they will give your money back in 48 hours.
The payment will be released to me ONLY AFTER you have received the car.

The car is not listed on eBay, I just use there services in order to finish the deal in best conditions.
Without the deposit payment 30% to eBay from the total amount of the price of the car I can not start the transport.
In case you do not like the car you can refuse it because the transport is insured in this case. You have 5 days inspection time to decide if you keep the car or not. In case you don't like the car you will get your full deposit payment back without any problem.
You know all the details in case you want the car .

Dieses Auto habe ich am 20.06.13 in autoscout24 entdeckt. Wurde alles beschrieben und... unglaublich billig!
Audi A4 Avant 2.0 TDI DPF Navigations S-Line; Bj 2007; 70000km für 4000 Euro - TIPTOP Zustand etc etc...
Standort war Ohrdruf in Deutschland. Ich habe Anfrage gestellt über das Formular. Auch am Freitagmorgen war das Angebot in Autoscout noch vorhanden. Mittags hingegen war das Angebot in Autoscout gelöscht worden. Eine Antwortmail bekam ich.

Ich schrieb dann in Englisch zurück, dass ich interesse an dem Wagen hätte und beschrieb meinen Standort. Wollte mehr Infos über das Auto. Auch wollte ich wissen, warum das Auto in Autoscout gelöscht wurde.
Dann kam folgende Mail:

I just moved out from Germany to UK, London and the car is here with me.That is the reason because i don't need the car anymore because here in UK is very hard to drive an European car with the steering well on the left side.

Ich bat ihn, mir doch mal die Papiere des Autos als Copy zu zeigen und fragte, wie der Transfer denn laufen solle.
Darauf hin bekam ich diese Mail mit Kopie von Fahrzeugbrief, Fahrzeugschein, Führerschein von dem Anbieter, Krankenversicherungskarte, Ausweis.
Inwieweit die Papiere überhaupt gültig und echt sind möchte ich schwer bezweifeln.

Ich lehnte ein Improval ab, da ich ohnehin cash gezahlt hätte. Jedoch meldete ich Zweifel ob des Angebotes an, da dieses Model mehr als den doppelten Preis erzielen würde und somit das Ganze doch recht seltsam sei. Hab ihm auch n Link hierzu geschickt.
Seither hör ich nix mehr von ihm.
Was interessant ist.
Erst bietet er an in Autoscout mit Artikelstandort Ohrdruf in Deutschland. Nach einer Anfrage beendet er das Angebot über Autoscout und geht über in eine Darstellung von Picasa.
Dann ist er beruflich in London, wo das Auto abzuholen sei.
In den Fahrzeugpapieren (Kopie) steht er drin mit Wohnort Ohrdruf. (Gut, die Kopie könnte gut und gerne ne Fälschung sein!)
Aber er kann doch auch nicht so bekloppt sein und seine wahre Identität preisgeben.
ALSO: WER erklärt mir nun die Funktionsweise dieser Nummer?
Dass das nicht echt ist, war klar. Ich verstehe nur nicht, wie er zu Geld kommen will.
Bin gespannt, wie es weiterläuft.
