This is B2B selling, where you are told to go back to the costumer even after he/she has said no and your butt hurts from them ripping you a new one. There is more read on.

This company is a major MLM scam, running a pyramid scheme. They hire anyone who applies to the company, but lead you to believe that you were "chosen" out of the 25 people that the interviewed the day before.

The second interview consists of going out in the field for 10-12 hours with a so called executive sales leader. After you survive, you are hired. Then the brain washing begins with working you 10+ hours a day and promises of owning your own office in 2 years and a 6 figure income. If you even question the rigorous pace, you are told that the hard work is only for a short time and if you don't agree you are basically a slacker.

After you have been accepted into their flock the brainwashing begins...
A morning meeting starts the day with shouts and group pep rallies. Most questions are never answered. You are told to get with your team leader for a one on one. The problem is that, you can't get a hold of your leader to have the question answered and then you are rushed out of the office to start your sales day. You are not permitted to come back to the office until the end of the day. A team leader was with you at all times except when you begin to sell solo, then your by yourself. This is done so you are never able to talk with any co-workers. They even walk you to your car every night to make sure you don't talk with anyone else!

The worst part is the deceptive sales training. You are told to have all initials and signatures on the contract and not to worry about the content for they can fix it when you get back to the office. After my first day on my own, I came back to the office and the team leader added a service to the contract without disclosure to the customer. Trainees are also told to distract the customer if they ask any questions about the contract or disclosure statements. The reasoning told to the trainee is that you will be there all day if you answer any questions and you won't make any other sales. Since you are paid only 100% commission, trainees will adhere to this advice.

The day ends with another pep rally and a critique from your superior on how you could of snowed a customer into buying something that they did not need. You are then once again walked to your car by a team leader. Only to start the process over again the next day.

There are some legitimate MLMs out there but, please beware that there are some out there preying on the millions of desperate unemployed people out there.

I got out in time. Only because I was lucky enough to approach a business owner who was an ex FBI agent. He confirmed my suspicions.

After doing some extensive research, I have found that this type of business racket is going on through out the CONUS and parts of Canada. Anyone looking for employment BEWARE! Anyone who owns a business and is solicited to purchase anything (phone services, office supplies etc.) by contract ask questions and if you are distracted DO NOT SIGN anything!

I plan on filing a complaint with the BBB and the Attorney General of the state.

I bought some moxie shoes from the sears store and i put on one of the shoes to make sure it fit and they did so i went to the checkout and checked out. So then i went home with the shoes and i went to wear the one night and they both didnt feel right the left shoe fit and the right shoe didnt. Then i looked at the bottom of the shoe and the left was a 8 1/2 and the right was a 7 i was highly upset so i eventually called the store snd they said i would have to return it and they would have to order me a pair of black moxies in a 8 1/2 online and ship it to my house and i would have to pay for it. So now i will always check the shoes because that store messed up in inventory. But i forgive them because things are messed up sometimes.

My story is not that much different from the other ones that are on this page. I started working for MMI Marketing or Moxy Marketing or whatever the hell she's calling it now back in June of 2011. I was fresh out of college and have a bit of criminal background so I wasn't able to get work in my field because of the charges ( which I am still dealing with, but that's a story for another site). So imagine my surprise when I was called in for an interview. During the first interview I disclosed everything about the charges and was told that what was on my background didn't matter. Then during the outing with the corporate trainer I explained my situation again and was told everything would be fine. So they decided to hire me and I needed the job so of course I happily excepted. I took $600 of my own money and purchased two new suits because I figured I would make it back in no time. This is when the problems started. To make this an easier read I will break them down into points.
1. First day on the job my trainer told me his car was in the shop and asked if I would drive. After I said yes he informed me we had to take another rep to her territory which was completely out of the way.
2. We closed an account that first day and I was told we would split the commission 50/50, but I never saw any of that money.
3. After I survived the first week, I was informed that they were making a business trip to Johnstown, Pa and they wanted me to go. I didn't really have a choice in the matter so obviously I said yes. I was told to meet them in Johnstown at 8 a.m. on Monday morning.
4. I told them the Friday before the business trip that I had to be back in Monroeville, Pa Monday night to pick up the suits I bought. I had to have alterations done before I could wear them. I asked if I could go up on Tuesday instead of Monday and was told if I missed a day of work I would be terminated because I was new hire. They then informed me that they would reimburse for the gas i used driving to Johnstown Monday morning the back to Monroeville then back to Johnstown Monday night. I never saw that money either.
5. Five of us went on the business trip and they only rented one hotel room, so I ended sleeping on an air mattress that I had in the trunk of my car. (I knew that thing would come in handy lol).
6. While in Johnstown, I closed one account only to find out that when I made the "Trust Call" I was not giving all of the documentation I was required to give to the client. After making many phone calls to my trainer I finally got a hold of him so I could retrieve the paperwork, drove to meet him and then drove back to the client only to make another "Trust Call" using my cell minutes.
7. After the business trip I was assigned my own territory, but here the kicker I actually drove past my territory to get to Southside every morning. So basically I sat in 2 hours of traffic every morning to go to the pointless morning meetings then backtracked to to get to my territory. If that wasn't bad enough I spent another 45 min in traffic getting from my territory, which was in Penn Hills, back to the office, then spent another hour or two in traffic getting home.
8. After spending about a week in my territory I knew this job wasn't for me but figured I would give it a little more time. When I returned to the office that day Ashley asked if she could speak to me. She sat me down and told me that my background check came back and the because of the charges they were going to have to let me go. These were the same charges that I told them about when they hired me and now all the sudden they're a problem. What a steaming pile of ###. Not wanting to get fired from my first real job I asked if there was anything I could do. Ashley told me to write a letter of appeal to there attorney and see if he would fight the charges so I could continue working there.
9. I wrote the appeal and e-mailed to the HR manager who forwarded it to there attorney. I was told to come in on Monday and continue to work until they received the results. Monday night when I returned to the office Ashley told me that their attorney denied my request and I was going to be let go. She apologized and even said she would write a letter of recommendation. I would hate to see what that letter said.
10. Two and half to three weeks later I received a check from them for $168. No reimbursement for gas and not even the full commission from the account I closed.
Sorry if I was a little long winded, but I want everyone to know what they put me through after lying to my face. Everything you read on this page is true. It is one of the biggest Pyramid scams out there. The people are not trustworthy and they are not your friends and the company is sham from top to bottom. Please be ware of any job that sound to go to be true because it probably is. I wish I would have done more research before I decided to waste my time and a ### ton of money.
I'm making more now as a supervisor at Shop n Save than I ever would have from MMI. Good luck to everyone out there looking for a job, I wish you the best. L. Brinker

Everything that everyone has written on this board is 100% true. I interviewed in October and when I got a second alone with two other interviewers, a woman asked me if I knew what this company actually was. I told her I was pretty sure it was door to door sales because I found (what is now) MMI Marketing on a blog alerting me to the scam. When I went to talk to Ashley, she was dressed so unprofessionally... cleavage all out. I couldn't stop staring because it was so in my face and distracting. Ryan tries to talk to you like your old girlfriends so that you're enthusiastic about the job and can't wait to go see your new friends at work. On Dec. 23, I got a call from Ryan to see if I was still interested. I never returned the call. It was a complete waste of my time, however I did use my interview with MMI Marketing as a mock interview, so I at least am much more comfortable interviewing. Direct Marketing Solutions (DMS) is also another scam in Greentree/Crafton. They even inspired me to write a blog on them: http://thoughtsablaze.wordpress.com/2012/01/08/how-to-spot-a-scam/

After reading these posts about MMI Marketing and Moxy Marketing I decided to email them back and cancel my Pittsburgh intterview. I was told on Friday that I will be interviewing for an executive position with them making anywhere from $35, 000 to $ 45, 000 a year, I have been unemployed for about 4 months and a recent college graduate. I have been seeking work dailey and it seems after the 1st of the year I am getting more offers. But of course this interview with MMI Marketing, I will not be attending it is not worth my time or gas. If I see this many negative posts on the internet it has to be true an actual scam. I have been to scam interviews in the past and found it a waste of time and a joke. I thank all of you for posting and I hope that this place and people are put out of business and sued for what they have done to people... Thank you

So post grad desperation has sunk in. I applied Sunday night, was called bright and early Monday morning. Initially I was excited to actually have an interview somewhere, but about an hour later I started realizing that things didn't seem right. I mean, who really calls back after less than 24 hours. So unlike other posters, I looked up this Ashley Allen and Ryan (receptionist/ recruiting director? WTF) on Facebook (my stalking go-to). And never before have I seen such flaky and skanky 'professionals'. Both have relatively public Facebook profiles. All Ashley Allen talks about really is drinking with her employees, being "WASTED". Yeah... come Thursday, I'll be blowing that interview off. It doesn't seem like a place that people with with any self respect or future aspirations would want to work. If you have any questions about what I'm talking about, look for yourself https://www.facebook.com/AshleyJoAllen

STAYAWAY... P.S. the company I interviewed with, was MMI... the name they changed too. Same story, looking for 5 managers for 5 new fortune 100 clients. Funny too... cause on their one webpage, that was their goal for 2010...lol. She told me by end of 2012. Next year it will be by end of 2013...LOL. But, yeah... she told me they pay mileage and cellphone... by claiming 8 dependents on my W-2. She even used the same number of 8. Sick stuff.

Stayaway read this >>> I just interviewed with this Ashley the other day (they would not wait for me to come later in the week...lol). While I was 90% sure after talking to the receptionist Ryan on the phone (who has their receptionist pick out resumes?), that this was some sort of scam... I went out of curiosity for the fun of it, and sometimes it just helps to remind one's self what type of slime is out there. I am older and was able to see right through this, andf my questions confirmed it during the "interview". Of course they want me to come for my day long interview. NOT. I was thinking of going just to mess with them a bit though for the fun of it. Well, on my interview (knowing what the answer would be), I asked if they re-imbursed mileage or cell phone. Want to know what Ashley told me? She said that yes they do, that on my W-2, they can claim 8 dependents! I said, what? I immediately confronted her and said "You still have to pay that back at the end of the year"!? I asked her if she meant deductions, and she tried to dance around her statement. I thought to myself... WOW! What a ### for such a young girl. Sad. I have worked in sales for almost 15 years, and I have always deducted having a home office at the end of the year. I am fully versed in all of the proper deductions for outside sales. NEVER are you allowed to claim more dependents than you have, and that has NOTHING to do with cell and mileage expenses. So, I finally said to her..."so you really don't pay ANY cell or mileage... and she was forced to answer "yes". So, STAYAWAY the very thing you wrote in your post was tried on me in my initial interview...lol. I can vouch for what you said. Ashley... you are WAY out of your league with me, I am far too big a Turd for you to try and flush. Hope that we do not cross paths again for I am well-established in the sales rep community in Pittsburgh. There are better ways to make money young lady... ask for help if you need a legitimate direction to take in sales or the business world.

I'm sooo happy i found this. They just called me& askd to schedule an interview. Thankfully i was working at my job now& never got the chance to call back. but i already learned from another company called "Steel Town Promotions". They are running a pyramid scheme just like this Keen company. The only difference is.. this man Marcus who called from this company told me they market for Home Depot. Did anyone else hear about that? I wanted to research the company before I went in for my "interview", but i was also going to call & try to talk to someone from Home Depot& see if it was a legit place.

PLEASE post your comment on that 'complaints board' thread, as well. I worked for her at Moxy too. I have been boiling over with anger for over 6 months. Please! Please! Please! Ashley is the worst of the worst. She was straight up making some poor guy sleep with her, for his tiny paycheck. He was screwed up too, but she had him under her shoe, very sickening. That was partly the reason I left, it was gross...I hope the other good people got out too. I am so embarrassed that women got to me. Good Luck! I worked for this company for over 3 months. In that time period, a series of events occurred in which I have been forced to write about on here to let everyone know my experience.

The interview process is dead on when it comes to the 15 minute interview, then the 9 hours field interview. You are told you are the only one hired out of over 30 people. When you sit in the waiting room, it is usually packed with young college grads, or older unemployed people. The reason you never see them again is 1, they figured out the scheme immediately. 2, they didn't like the 100% commission based salary, and 3 they didn't have a car to drive all over pennsylvania with.

The people working there are pathetic. Let me repeat, the people working there are pathetic. They all know whats going on, but believe Ashley Allen when she tells them that they do not have another choice because of the economy. When I had been working there for about a month, Ashley put a magazine in the lobby about the unemployment rate and said "this should get people to want to work here". But also made it a point to bring the magazine up to the employees to build there rock bottom moral.

I had a meeting in the morning with Ashley and told her that I wasn't making enough money. I wasn't making enough money because of the gas, miles, and food that I HAD to purchase so I could keep working there. My territory was a 35 minute drive every from the office and then a 1.5 hour drive back due to traffic. THIS WAS EVERYDAY! I put over 10, 000 miles on my vehicle in 3 months just from working there alone. They tell you to write off your miles and gas and any other expenses but they will never add up on your tax return form to exceed your income tax...therefore, you lose that money that you believe your getting back.

The meeting continued and she informed me that she will make some changes and I will start to make more money. The changes were made and I made more money but not nearly enough to start accruing a savings account. I was working there, to afford to work there! NOW FOR THE CHANGES:

I eventually quit and got hired that day at roomful express which was a BS job that I accepted until I found a better place to work. I never looked back at that job until I got my W2 form in the mail from them. I opened up the form and almost had a heart attack! Ashley changed my dependents on my W2 form to claim 8 dependents. I didn't even have a wife or child at all! She forged my name and then mailed it back to the GOV'T...This is extremely illegal! Do not even go there for interview unless you want a great laugh. Do not give them your social security number because they will sign you up for there services if you piss them off. I am currently speaking with lawyers to obtain the W2 form in which was forged and Im going to sue Ashley Allen for everything she has for fraud, pain, and suffering. Ashley, if your reading this, I hope you know that I will do everything I can to take everything from you like you do to sooo many people in PA. I am going to take everything Ashley so you better start putting possessions in rolands (her dad) name because im going after your precious house in Florida too.

I finally found a career and I make triple the amount you promise so many of your prey. I will pay any amount of money to know that you have to start all over and work in the business world with ethics and value. You are probably reading wondering, "oh [censor], who did I do this too?" You will find out soon enough when you get the letter in the mail notifying you of your first lawsuit. SEE YA SOON!

They are trying to sell verison contracts and intuit products...basically office supplies. The point you bring up 'lead dog' is that even if you call and ask what they are trying to sell. you wont get a straight answer. Plus, they hire you as self employed, so MMI wont be responsible to ever pay you anything. Commission only, and there is a 3 month hold on all signed contracts...If you look at their website(s) you will see they dont list what they are selling there either. They dont sell things, they sell other Co's services, at a foolish rate, any one with a clue, wouldn't buy it, few people do...and the few people they con...it is standard that the signed contract is changed to boost the bill, hours after leaving the client. That is the only way to get any kind of paycheck. If you get one contract every two weeks, and have spent $300 to get that one. You have to lie, if you want a quarter of your expenses back. Ashley knows very well that there is no way to get anywhere in her office, all that promotion excitement is part of the scam disguise. Call the Co, if your curious.

Moxy Marketing has changed its name to: Keen Marketing & East Coast Marketing. ...Even Keen Maeketing 'Solutions.' ...That is, depending on the job site you are applying from. It is a scam. Every. Little. bit of it. The scam is entirely on you, for quite some time. They will try to make you feel like a friend, so, when all goes well-and your trapped(beyond broke), and the shady [censor] becomes expected of YOU, you will perhaps, ...be okay with it. Anything to make a buck at this point. Remember two things: 1. these guys & Ashley, now Paula too... have been at this for years. This scam is their LIFE. These girls aren't smart enough to make it out there in the real world, so they have done everything possible to learn this scam. Years of unpaid seminars to gain the skills to lie to your face. These girls are so stubborn, Ashley will be in it till the end. Don't think for a sec-(no matter what she promises!) that she's progressing toward an honest business structure. She would only know of what that looks like, from getting around it. 2. This scam wouldn't work, if the 'presidents' of these offices didn't whole heartedly believe, that they themselves will make it big. They know very well that they are scamming people. But, they don't realize that they are being scammed themselves by the tier just above them. and so on. Don't waist a second of your life!

I worked at Moxy at the beginning of 2010 and found this site to share my experience as well. I went through all the above stuff just like everyone else. Drove from out of state for an interview after graduating and got hired. Should have done more researched on this company but at the time i was just happy after 6 months i was able to find a job. I began and all the scam began. Brainwasing in morning meetings, questions gone unanswered, time wasted, money lost, and most of all my integrity was challenged. They wanted me to lie and cheat businesses out of money, as if times weren't hard already. This was the worst experience of my life. I eventually found a job other than that crap of a job and got away. I advise anyone to listen to this post and never work there. Ashley Allen is the by far the worst person i ever met. She lies, she sleeps around, she cheats you out of money, and just treats her employees, and other people as if they are dirt and not as good as her. If she was doing so well as someone said earlier and making 6 digit salray, then why do her and 3 other managers live together. This whole company is a joke, and waste of time as employment and waste of time on your personal life as they try to interfere with that as much as possible. Hope people listen to this and dont get sucked in. I am trying anyway possbile to get my story acrossed the internet to keep as many people away as possible.

Dear Dave, I know the sign of a joke... Ashley Allen, is sleeping with her office boy Chris Ogden. Ripping the man off every step of the way. Her skanky clothes ARE part of the scam. She is prying on the most desperate and insecure of the unemployed. Single men, at the end of there ropes, find there way into her office, without any (infamous) pre-interview process. She chooses from all kinds of [censor]-ups, losers, washups, to find her lemmings. Then she gets them drunk-no waisted ...on wosre than alcohol. ...and that's a wrap! Attn new employee's: drink up & put your Jimmy on! You'll be well on your way to pretending all that cheering crap in legit.

I worked for this place back in 2007 for a few months. Sadly to say, there are many many places like this in the U.S. It is true that they hire anyone who applies, it is true that you work for 100% commission, and it is true that the morning meets are super weird. But I truly don't think it is a scam. Quill is a well respected company and you are basically just a door to door salesman of Quill office supplies. If you can turn on your inner sleazy salesman and bend the truth to customers, you will make some money. If you can trick a few other dumb saps to try this out for a a year or so, you'll make even more money. The truth is, you CAN make some money here, but it is super mega hard to do so, and you have to be a bit of a sleaze to do so. I would not reccommend anyone working here because 9 out of ten people will just waste their time and lose money from using your own car and own gas to drive all around the city for 9 hours. Stay away.

Ashley Allen is a joke and what she is doing to pull in "recent graduates" will probably turn on her soon .. I was a junior in college and literally left during the interview because I knew exactly what she was doing. Plus, she dresses like a total office skank. If that's not a sign of a joke, I'm not sure what is.

Just wanted to say that I just got back from an interview with this company. Strangely enough, I was told upon applying that the company was called Keen Inc. The "HR rep" I spoke to on the phone even said she was from Keen. However, when I got to the office, the sign said "Moxy" and the same person I spoke to on the phone referred to it as Moxy Marketing. What a bunch of crooks. Stay far, far away.

I went to this interview as well. Ridiculous is right! An office of losers! The business IS the hiring process. Read up, it is a scam! and if you go for it, please post your experience online. Ashley Allen has been able to remove negative posts, but is worth the second of trouble, if it helps Co's like this to be found out. I posted my experience on a different site... It's long gone? Ashley Allen is one shady player!

I recently drove MANY hours round-trip to attend a 15 minute "interview" with Ashley Allen of Moxy Marketing in Pittsburgh. If they had told me it would only be 15 minutes long, I would have laughed in their faces and never attended. She told me the same thing as everyone else: you'll make money, advance to a manager, and my favorite: come back on such-and-such day for an 8 hour "observation day" (unpaid, of course.) At this point I began to look into their background... Ashley Allen told me that she lives with a bunch of her employees (must be making the big bucks, Ashley!) She claims that her company has never laid anyone off, but she never mentions all the people who quit because they are under/never paid. They make you feel like you are chosen out of a large number of applicants, when in actuality EVERYONE gets called back. This place is ridiculous! DON'T FALL FOR IT!

Everything stated is true. I worked for three weeks and was paid nothing. I spent well over three hundred dollars. I am now homeless and praying for help. Moxy seemed like a good bet out of college, but obviously was not. Do not fall for their tricks and schemes.

I worked at this company for a short time and feel lucky to have left so early. Everything in the above post is true. I felt like I was attending a fanatical religious cult rather than a real functioning workplace. Also, I had a friend who had worked for the company before me and he advised me not to go to my interview, but I needed a job. However, I should have listened to him.

They always tell you that you can't share your feelings with people in the office if you had a bad day because it derails positive thinking. Instead they prefer you to fake a perpetually happy demeanor at all times or they will pull you aside to talk about your attitude problem.

I lost money working for this company on gas and food, and wasn't reimbursed for anything.

It didn't end at the workplace. Every Sunday a Sales Rep. would call you and ask you what your weekly production goals were for the coming week. I like to keep my personal life and my work life separate, but this simply wasn't possible with Moxy Marketing. After putting in ridiculously long days they would expect you to go out for with all of them several days a week. Doing the math I realized I only had a few hours a week that I was away from Moxy. I gather they did this because they wanted you to feel you were their friend. Not because they really wanted to be your friend, but because if you thought they were working for your friends, you would have a more difficult time quiting because you would't want to disappoint your 'friends'.

I could ramble on and on, but all in all, I simply need to advise anyone considering Moxy Marketing as their next possible career, please, I implore you, do yourself a favor and look for something else.
