I ordered an Ipod touch 32GB (3rd Gen) and a Nokia 5530 from the online store and paid the money. Later I get an email that they mistakenly included additional items in the package and that I needed to put in a deposit so that they can release the delivery of the goods. On having paid the deposit, I was informed by them to pay more. I have now refused to pay any more and have asked for a refund. One month has past and they have not made the refund.

All readers be warned before they buy any thing from these guys.

I have bought the Sony ericsson mobile through mobile store on which i won 2 n/3d holiday package. After i opt for the package they told me to pay Rs. 720 for breakfast charges which was not mentioned on their travel voucher. Thereafter i have provided the dates of travel two months in advance. However due to some medical reason i could not travel on those previously given dates however intimation about rescheduling the trip was given to them one month in advance. But this time they started asking for cancellation charges of Rs. 500 per night. I said it will be too costly then they have changed it to Rs. 500 for entire package which is similar to some roadside hawkers bargaining with the customers to sell their products.

When i show my readiness to pay rs. 500 they started cripping that now it is not possible because dates have already passed and started blaiming me that you have not given dates in advance. Whereas i was already communicating to them one month in advance and i have the proof of all correspondance with them.

When i asked to refund the money paid by me i.e Rs. 999 + Rs. 720(breakfast chrages) they simply replied that it is not possible to refund the money. When i lodged complain with mobile store about this they have arranged for conference call between thier own travel agent and me but the result were same that is they were not ready to refund the money paid by me eventhough i have not gone for travel package.

Request you to take strict action against such corporation in the general interest of public and do the justice by helping me out in getting the refund from these white collar robbers.

OH MY GOD! Thank you so much for posting this. I was considering buying a HTC HD2 from them for 300$ but I didn't trust it because it's so cheap.
They're also on http://www.efastshopping.com/index.php?token=product_info&product_id=611&efsCid=428FCA9BC1921C25C5121F9DA7815CDE
I decided to google their name and found this site and lots of other complaints.
Thank you so much!

Hugs.

Hello,
I was looking for IPhone 4G 16GB on an online store on the internet because I am a resident of country where Apple Inc. doesn't have a retail outlet. Googling out I found a classified add of ANITA ONLINE STORE LTD, 51 TOWNGATE, LEYLAND, LANCASHIRE, UNITED KINGDOM, that they offer IPhone 4 32 GB Factory Unlocked for only 400 USD.
I visited there website and found out that they were doing a promotional sale and had an offer of Buy 2 Get 1 Free or Buy 5 Get 2 free. I contacted through mentioned e-mail id (sales@anitaonlinestore.org) and found that there business had been serving the world since 2002 by offering products at lesser price and there business started from UK now had expanded to all over the world. I then placed an order of 1 piece of IPhone 4G that would cost me 400 USD and made the payment through Western Union.
After making the payment I received an email stating that they had made a mistake in shipment and instead of 1 piece they had shipped 10 pieces and in order to get those I had to make and extra payment of 3600 USD. When I refused to do so they sent me the tracking number of a cargo service named FLYNEXXX CARGO, HILLS & BURGESS, 20 BRIDGE STREET, LEIGHTON BUZZARD, BEDFORDSHIRE LU7 1AL, UNITED KINGDOM, along with the tracking number. I visited to that site (www.flynexxx.com) and found that that site had the was constructed on the same pattern that AnitaOnlineStore was and surprisingly I also received an email from Mr. Steve (G.M Flynexxx Cargo) confirming the shipment and both sender's and receiver's address. Then i looked for Flynexxx cargo on Google and found in one of your complaints that it is a scam.
When I made them believe that I am not going to pay any extra penny and demanded a refund they stopped responding my emails. And from now till date I have send them numerous emails regarding my refund but they are not responding nor receiving calls. I hope that these SAITANS would be brought before justice one day and have to pay all these scams with their lives.

Met and I on their swindle! I from Ukraine ordered Iphone 4g, 3 pcs and promised to send 4 pcs . 900 $ Sent as asked.. then said that some taxes 300$ sent. then there was it: "According to the report reaching my desk is that you must have an International Importation License, which must be provided before the goods are delivered.
This License is very useful for any importing of any merchandise from any International Country World Wide. My store keeper went to the Ministry of Transportation and Commerce to prepare one for you and it will be ready on Friday.
You need to make the payment of 500usd for the License because all goods are on their way and I don't want any satiation that they will place them on hold because of the unavailable License so if you don't have the License you need to make the transfer of the payment as soon as possible so we can proceed further and thats the only thing that will stop the goods from not reaching your destination.
This is very urgent"

Sent all money in U.S. state IOWA city SIOUX to the man TIFFANI ARANBULA. The first dispatch was 12.11.2010 and second 15.11.2010. Possibly they did not yet get(my) the money!

It is very desirable to get the money back and that swindlers got in prison!
Ready to give all correspondence and similarly documents on
the dispatch of money.

Thank you.

they are really running scams.. the latest names they are using are alqudus mahin who is the 'manager', malik white, who is allegedly the accountant, and a michael smith whi is based in nigeria.. i have attached the photo sent to me by this alqudus mahin person.. see the attached picture.. i have been communicating with this alqudus mahin at this email address "themobilestorelimited2@yahoo.com"..

to make you trust them, they will say that in order for you to trust them, they will ask for just 50% of the payment then they will send you your orders. after you have received your orders, you will have to send the 50% balance again through western union. it was supposed to be that simple..

however, once you send your deposit of 50%, they will say that they cannot send your orders yet because they have to pay the shipping company because they have to pay some demorage and other damn taxes. they will then require you to pay the remaining 50% balance.

after i paid the initial 50% and they wouldn't send my orders because of some problems with the shipping company, i refused to pay the 50% balance and told them to return my money.

they said they could not send me my money back because they have already sent it to nigeria and they blamed me for the delay in the shipment. i asked them to tell the company to send my money back but he keeps avoiding the issue. i also suggested to him that he should shoulder the shipping charges first but still he kept on blaming me. he would send me text messages on my phone that i should trust him because he is married and has three children and that it is against the law of kamal. he always tells me that he is a good muslim and that he is honest but he simply wont send back my money. he always diverts my attention from the issues when i tell him that i am cancelling my order and that he should send my money back..

if he is really a good muslim then he should give my money back because i no longer trust him..

after reading the previous comments, i am really convinced that this is a SCAM!..

my simple advice to the readers:

NEVER BUY ANYTHING ONLINE THAT REQUIRES PAYMENT THRU WESTERN UNION! BE CAREFUL OF THESE PEOPLE.. REMEMBER THESE NAMES, WHICH I AM SURE ARE FAKE, LIKE THE PRODUCTS THEY SELL:

ALQUDUS MAHIN from UK
MALIK WHITE from UK
MICHAEL SMITH from NIGERIA

i dont know if the photo is for real.. maybe they will change their names again.. but i hope other people will no longer be victims of these [censor]!

they are all SCAMMERS!

TAKE NOTE OF THESE!:

The fake stores listed here are primarily run by gangs from Nigeria, Romania and Russia. In some cases the only indication of where the criminals are is the country where the bank account is based, which may be different from the address claimed for the company. Here are some simple rules to follow if you don't want to get burnt:

Never pay for online purchases by Western Union wire transfer (no exceptions)! It doesn't matter where the store claims to be based: Once you send money it can be picked up anywhere in the recipient's country, with no way of tracing the person who picked it up. The criminal remains anonymous. Do not trust any schemes to later change the recipient's name or the question/answer pair. Assume that if the criminal knows your name and the amount you sent he can pick up the money, no questions asked!. That's why Western Union has become the leading payment vehicle for online scams. Western Union is fine to wire cash to a stranded family member in a hurry, but do not use it for internet shopping, ever!

Never pay by bank wire transfer into a bank account in a name other than the name of the business or in a country other than where the store claims to be based (e.g. UK company, Spanish account or German company, Dutch account). Why would a legitimate business use an account held in the name of an individual or not have an account in the same country?

Beware if the seller uses a free webmail account (Hotmail, Yahoo, etc) or if the company's main phone number is a mobile phone (Spain: +34-6xx, UK: +44-70xx, +44-87xx, Nigeria: +234 80x) or if it shares the same number for the phone and fax or it doesn't list a postal address.

Beware if a seller doesn't have his own website or uses a free webhosting site (e.h. http://phonestore.8m.com).

Beware if the business has its own site, but the domain was created less than three months ago (use the following link to check their domain registration).

Domain WHOIS lookup

Search for the name of the company on Google. Search for the phone number too, some of the frauds get reincarnated with a new company name but still using the same mobile phone. If the search yields scam warnings or only classified ads by the company and its own website or if you don't find anything at all you should be very careful. Use the form below to search:

Beware of prices that are too low and/or free shipping and/or worldwide on-site service. Legitimate businesses need to pay suppliers, rent, taxes etc. and still make a profit. They won't underprice the nearest competitor by 30% or 50%, if they can also get the sale by being only 5-10% cheaper. In the real world international shipping is expensive and so is on-site service. You only get what you pay for. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

If you pay by credit card you're generally protected, but if the business is a scam they can abuse your credit card details for making fraudulent purchases elsewhere. You may have to get it cancelled and reissued, which is a hassle. PayPal is the safest.

Don't buy mobile phones and other electronic equipment from a supplier in Nigeria unless you actually live there. Nigeria does not manufacture high-tech electronic equipment. All such goods have to be imported first and its ports and airports are notoriously inefficient. There is no reason why anyone there should be able to export mobile phones, computers and other imported high tech, high value articles cheaply. When you receive offers for such equipment at prices that sound too good to be true, assume it to be a scam.

same as mine. i ordered 1 iphone 3gs for 300usd. i paid them thru western union. after the payment and waiting for the fedex info, they said that the package was packed mistakenly from i unit of iphone to 3 units of iphones, as agreed i pay additional 300usd. from there things got hay wired. they say that the fedex is charging a fee of 500usd in order to send the package right away. so i argued with them about this situation. am not going to pay that kind amount without getting my items first. they say it is already in the philippines but their not giving the shipping info. so right there, i noticed i've been scam. their word is full of bs and ###. hoping someone will fk'in kill them.

I came across this website in 2009 December and had few live chat correspondence with them. From one of the email address they sent, I found their IP address and traced back and found that it is from Nigeria. Then I checked their contact number and found that both the numbers are routed from UK/US to some other country. I smelled the fraud and didn't proceed to pay them

The same happened to me, i ordered iphones from the mobile store ltd, company based in USA but the agent was from UK, he had put the add on facebook and the promotion was buy 3 and get 1 free(300$ each-3gs 32gb),
our deal was to send 1 iphone for 100$ and then the rest we will order later after seeing the product, after transferring money through Western Union he said that i had to pay 500$ more as the company had packed 14 iphones(4 for free) and it was ON HOLD in USA in the office of FLYNN EXPRESS GROUP courier company im sure that company too is a scam (http://www.flynnex.com/) because the creation group of that company in WHO IS? shows that it was created 2months before.

I think im scammed too

Hi am about to buy 2 sony ericsson xperia x10's from them for $350 and they said they will give me another one for free. It seemed a little fishy so i googled their company name and here i see tonnes of complaints. I have been talking to a man named Mohammed Ramadan and he seems to be boasting about how popular and great the company is and all. By the way, I am referring to the company "Mobile Store Ltd." based in Slough, UK. Can someone please email me the correspondence that you have so that I can look for any patterns through which i can detect fraud?
please email to: naasik@gmail.com

I think it's really hopeless to wait for the refund when they keep pushing you to other dept and don't reply emails. Any idea where we can report this so that others won't fall into the same trap? I have a friend who was scammed of $SGD4000+, I myself transferred $SGD2300 to them. They must really be making big money over this 'Promotion'.

i think i got scammed too, looks like its their way of doing stuffs. i was told the same thing as to needing to pay an extra $600 for the release of the additional items. their claim is they did not receive payment which i sent through western union. but i checked and the status of my transaction is that the money is 'picked up'. i am still arguing with them though. demanding a refund. hopefully it would all work out fine.

Yes, same here. It is the same story. For me it happened two months ago. I am from Singapore. I was seraching for the at&t Blackberry Bold 9000 non camera at that time and I came across their adverstiment on a page. I simply just emailed them to enquire about it and to my surprise they told me that they have it. As for the rest, you all should know. When I received the email about my shipment being hold by Fedex in SG, I immediately called up Fedex which they are so kind to help me do a checkup based on my postal code. The result is there is no parcel for me at all. The initial demand was USD$800 which I simply cannot afford. Then they keep slashing the amount till USD$100 now to get my phone and another USD$100 within 30 days after I received it. LIke others, I have the all emails for those who wish to have a look at evidences. P.S Liliy Ng, If you are from SIngapore, why not lets meet up and show me the receipt or post it online to let everybody see.

Yes, The same is happened in my case also, I order for 2iPhones, I did not received any tracking number for FedEx for 3days, then I checkout over live chat, they says, by mistakenly our shipping dept. packed extra 2more units, so you have to pay for that and then only it will be released, I paid that also, this happened 2months back and from then Im waiting for the refund, its not happening till now, and I have no idea whether it will be done or not?

Looks like lost the whole money!

I've ordered a macbook pro and an ipod on promotion and they actually told me the same thing! Here's their reply:There has been an error with your package that was shipped to you, we are sorry for the current delay but we would like to inform you about your order status. You placed an order for iPod Touch (3rd Generation) 1 Unit, Nokia 5530 XpressMusic Unlocked 1 Unit. I was fully updated about your order and issues with my company. We observed that there are issues with your package and that has been the reason why we delayed the delivery to your shipping address. At this point, your package has already been dispatched but on hold.
We Noticed that there has been a mix package of goods from my company, you ordered for 1 x iPod Classic, 1 x New MacBook Pro with free 1 x iPod Touch (3rd Generation) but the shipping department made a mistake in your packaging and they packaged the items below.
2 Apple iPhone 3GS 32GB: US$920
1 Blackberry 9700 Onyx Smartphone Unlocked : US$450
This products cost about $1, 370 and the therefore, we can only place the shipment on hold. At this point, Fedex cannot send back the package but the shipment is on Hold. I needed to inform you about the suituation and to avoid further delays we would continue the shipment, But you have to make at least an additional refundable payment deposit of $700 and then when you recieve the package, you can send the extra package back to us and then we will refund the $700.

I just paid for a BlackBerry Storm today and was provided with the fedex tracking number and cant just wait to get thee package delivered. customer support was great on live chat and and shipping was free so would update once delivered in 2-3days. Also there are many other sites using the same company name such as ;

www.themobilestore.in

www.mobilestoreonline.com

www.mobilestoreltd.page.tl

The last looks much like a scam to me cause it uses a free website.

Same to me.
I ordered from Greece and paid (western union) for 1 iphone. They replied that they had mistakenly send 2 iphones and asked for more money.
After long negotiation I sent 100 more euros.
Now they ask for 350 more dollars because of fedex dummorage(?).
Of course they are not sending any Fedex tracking id.
All emails are available for anyone who needs to check this.

where is this company located, I also have a contact from mobile store limited. this one claim to be out in England. they seem to tell me they are sending more then I order and want a some of deposit money, which is I did, I send money via money gram, luckily it's didn't go through, they told me the change the name of receiver (because last person have been dead for 3 months). money gram rep, call me and come get my money back when they notice someone trying to get the money using her father's name (the dead one).
I sensing the fraud here, but unsure. this company have been calling me since, and telling me how legitimate they are and I have nothing to worry about. they even attached the shipping package from FedEx but no signature of any fed Ex rep. any one can fill out a slip right?
